I used to shoot Mamiya 645 Pro TLs in my film days as a pro. Sold it for heartbreakingly little money in 2005 (2 bodies, 5x backs, polaroid backs, 3 lenses....), because I needed money to go digital. Boy, do I miss them. I used to shoot with the prism finder and motorwinder, because it made it almost like a 35mm in ergonomics. Lovely pics and video. Cool POV. I recently got a C33... cannot wait to get out with it.
Always happy when something like this pops up in my recommended and seems to get a bit of traction. Makes me believe that there is still a place on the internet for creative stuff. Also curious about the rig as I’m doing a lot of stuff like this myself currently (rigging the camera to certain movable objects). The way you hold it with just 2 hands on the Mamiya makes it seem like the whole rig was super light, even though you rigged a whole ass camera on top 😂
Nice photos. I'm just curious how your viewfinder is so sharp and you can see everything on seen. I have the same model but my waist viewfinder is blurry, just the small circle is clear for focusing. Any idea please?
Just wanna say that I truely enjoy your video, so calm and cool! Best wishes from Ecuador bro! Ps: You got to show us your rig you used for this video!!
okay my dude - this is a sick vibe - I've seen the idea a couple times now and I personally love it. can we get that video you mentioned below👇 about how you rigged the shot? 🙏
yeah that was definitely just from being distracted by the stupid rig and focusing more on making the video, rather than really dialing in my exposure settings haha
i also have a 645 pro and wanted to ask if you use strap/lugs for it? if you do, do you have any recs for straps/lugs? It's been pretty hard to find one for 645 pro. Thanks!
Hey, thanks! I just messed around with some different rigging parts I had. Basically just put my FX3 above it on a rail system. If I can find a photo of it ill post it on my instagram @iamadamlora
@@adamlora do you mean developing your negatives ? Or how you got the shot this video of your camera and what rig setup you used ? I looked on your instagram I don’t see anything about the rig set up to make theirs recording style and angle
@@adamlora i mean like the video device used to aim downward towards the viewfinder and still being able to use it? Like some sort of go pro chest rig or something?
Life just looks so good through a waist level finder
That was beautiful and unique. Please do more like this, nice to vicariously shoot the 645
Thank you!
this is why I love the smaller film photography channels. Super nice video!
Thank you!
This is going to blow up. Beatiful video man!
Thank you!

This looks so smooth 🥹 the images and the waist level finder
thanks man!
Nice video, really great job. Hope to see some more in the future.
thank you!
Stunning images!! 😍
Thank you!
Superb, nice and quiet. You made me feel like getting back to my Mamiya 645 and put some FP4 or Tri X in B&W in it. (Provided these still exist)
Thank you! Do it, they still do exist!

Hey thanks man! I basically had it on a 15mm rail system with some random attachments I had laying around.
This is phenomenal stuff. Keep it up! Great job.
Thanks a lot!
Absolutely loved this!!!
thanks!
this was beautiful man, you should do more please
Thanks! Working on it!!
That's a great concept!! I enjoyed it! It feels so pleasing slow and "human"
Thank you!
I stumbled onto this video looking up stuff about the Mamiya and thought "wow this is so well made" and of course it's freaking you Adam 😂
lol no way!!
Absolutely love it! This will be my next camera for sure!
thank you!
What a beautiful and creative video. Good job man!
Thanks a lot!
Very relaxing. Thanks for sharing!

This was incredible. Thanks!

This was a great video man. Would love to see more like this!

i'm not sure, this is the focusing screen that came with it but might have to do with that.
This was like a therapy :) was watching this thinking if this could be my first MF unit :)
Thanks! I would for sure recommend the Mamiya!
@@adamlora Just got one in the package :), Can I ask which light meter were you using? exposures are just spot on! thanks!
Hi Bro I watched your video, it's so beautiful
When taking a picture, do you shoot with proper exposure?
How much exposure compensation do you do?
thanks! I use a sekonic light meeter
Just wanna say that I truely enjoy your video, so calm and cool! Best wishes from Ecuador bro!
Ps: You got to show us your rig you used for this video!!
Thank you! I might have to
Does the Mamiya 645 Pro have a built-in light meter? Or only when the prism is attached?
I agree with everyone else: Nice soothing video, well done!
yes, only with the AE prism. So I was using an external one here. Thanks!
@@adamlora Makes sense, thanks for the reply!
Hey Adam! This looks great, well done!
Thanks so much!
This is such a calming video. Would love to know how you rig the video to the camera?
Thank you! Ive got a photo of the rig in the community tab!
Youve gained a sub dude, gorgeous
thank you!
@adamlora I've just set my 645 up the same way after watching this, you gave me the push to go for it cheers! 😁
Brilliant video thank you! Is that 80mm f/2.8 lens?
Thanks! Yes it is!
okay my dude - this is a sick vibe - I've seen the idea a couple times now and I personally love it. can we get that video you mentioned below👇 about how you rigged the shot? 🙏
Thanks so much man! I’ll try to get it up soon!
amazing video
Thank you! its kinda just a bunch of random rigging parts, so probably not a full video. but maybe ill do a short about it
I would love to know how to mount the camera to record from waist level finder! The pictures are absolutely impressive!
Thank you! Ive got a photo of the rig in the community tab!
how did you rig your digital camera on top of the mamiya?
gotten a lot of people asking. I'll post it on the community page
Shooting landscapes wide open....weird flex! Great images though, the view is amazing.
lol. was wondering if I was the only one thinking that. as you say, nice results though, so file it under "you do you."
yeah that was definitely just from being distracted by the stupid rig and focusing more on making the video, rather than really dialing in my exposure settings haha
@@adamlora lol. can’t argue with the results! i’m a new fan of your photography/channel man.

I have peak design anchors on it and use the same straps on all of my cameras.
the peak design anchors attach to the mama 645 pro? if you don't mind... can you send me some pics/show me how that works? thanks!! @@adamlora
hi, good video, how do you put your camera on your 645 ? with witch stuff ?
I have a post showing the rig on my page.
whats your set up ?
Nice video! How did you meter these shots?
Thanks! I have a sekonic meter I use
Love this!!!
thank you!
Hey great shot’s.may i know what type of focusing screen did you used?its so bright, mine not like that.thanks
I think its just the stock one that comes with the 645 pro
very calm and relaxing video! well done!
how did you rig your camera to film this?
Thanks! Ive gotten a lot of people asking. ill post it on the community page.
How do you get the top down shot?
Posted a photo of the rig on my community page
Hey! I just inherited this camera. Can you tell me which view finder youre using and thr focusing screen?
not sure on the focus screen but its the waist level finder
Beautiful video! Would love to know how do you manage to get that point of view with your camera
same here

Thanks! just inspiration by a bunch of different videos I’ve seen. And not sure about the song
Cool man!
Thanks!
@@adamlora Welcome!
God that looks like so much fun! The shooting process itself I mean! Am I about to spend lots of money on to be able to do this? D: (I wanna)
Haha you can for sure go down a rabbit hole. But totally worth it.
how did you record this perspective of video?!? through the top down finder?!?
yes with the waist level finder. I have a photo of the pic in the community tab.
@@adamlora i mean like the video device used to aim downward towards the viewfinder and still being able to use it? Like some sort of go pro chest rig or something?
photos are straight out of the camera?
It’s film, so it’s actually quite the opposite lol
what lens did you use?
I went back and forth between the 80mm 2.8 and 45mm 2.8
5:37 bro stop ur doing it too good
