A lot of people I believe just hang onto one sensational sentence from Harry's book , taken out of context. I really don't want to hear from anyone about "Spare," unless they have read the entire book, cover to cover!
Piers Morgan is so unethical. The sad part is, no one is checking the media. Ethical journalists should hold unethical journalists accountable because they are tarnished journalism. Praying for Prince Harry and all the victims of media bullying.
The trouble is that, to be generous, the unethical 'journalists' outnumber the ethical by 90 to 10.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this sensible, empathetic video. I am an American, but about 94% UK by DNA, and am a frequent visitor to London and have been for over twenty years. I have a lot of British friends, and I have really been upset by the vitriol shown to Harry, and that even worse, of Meghan. Piers Morgan is the absolute worst, and his attacks on Meghan got him sacked from one job, but he soon landed another. His main beef against Meghan. seems to be that he had drinks with her before she met Harry. After Meghan met Harry, she "ghosted," to use Morgan's own words, him. Of course she did. She and Harry were desperate to keep their budding relationship secret, so that they could give it a chance. I did not realize that Morgan had always been loud in his critisism of Harry. Keep in mind these people are making a lot of money of these stories, the pictures of Princess Diana, etc. The way the press has turned on Meghan, from her being the new darling, to her being ruthlessly criticized when she did the same thing as Kate did who was praised for same, just makes no sense unless one realizes the institution or the press is playing the game, as Harry indicates in his book. Camilla has gone from being the hated Mistress to the beloved Queen. I have nothing against her, but she is the same person she was 25 years ago. It doesn't make sense that one goes from being evil to a Saint in the press in twenty five years. Something is just not right with these tabloids, and I applaud Harry for trying to reign then in. The one reporter, whom the judge required to come to court, admitted that, while she did not engage in any listening of voice mail etc, she did get stories Piers had gotten "from another source," and she never questioned that they were received legally. Harry has a right to tell his story; Piers Morgan does not have a right to tell stories by taking things out of context. So many if the articles seem to show Harry as a "thicko," being led on a leash by the evil Meghan. Meghan is her own woman She was independently wealthy and well educated. She was used to speaking out on women's issues when she met Harry. Harry fell in love with her. It takes a strong man to love and not feel threatened by a strong woman. Also, Harry a "thicko"? He says in "Spare," he could not concentrate in school. It is clear that he was suffering for the death of his mother, and at the time, he did not get the help he needed. He says that when he finally saw a few photos from the police file of his mother's death, that the pap's faces were reflected in the glass of the wrecked car. They took pictures before even trying to get her help, and Harry says he is haunted by the fact that the last thing his mother saw on Earth was the paps taking her photo. Anyway, I just want you to know that I appreciate your empathetic video, because I am seriously concerned over so much hate on someone by those who do not know the principle's involved, and are just out to make money on the trials of someone else. As far as Harry being "thick," he rose to the rank of Captain in the British Army, served two tours in Afghanistan, and flew the Apache helicopter. Have the haters forgotten his service to his country? In the words of Prince Harry, when Anderson Cooper mentioned Harry 's flying the Apache and recounting that that could not have been easy, Harry laughed and said "Well, there was no Prince button on the Apache!" Well said by Harry, and well spoken by you, Mr. O'Brien, in this video.
...and shall we look at it from the other point of view? Meghan's beef agains Piers is that he dared to criticize her and point out her obvious shortcomings! Since when she (and Harry at her behest) has been all out to silence the free press and freedom of speech in this country!

The level of abuse Queen Diana faced plus Harry and his family is appalling. Disappointed in William to allow his office to use the same tactics that tormented his mother to throw Harry and Meghan under the bus to cover his own indiscretions. I really thought it would be William seeking his justice for his mother but it is Harry. I lost all respect for William for letting his office release a statement calling his mother paranoid and the reason for doing the BBC interview when we know that her phone was hacked- I am really happy she did the interview to tell her side of the story because now we see the RF trying to erase her existence.

I’d read that the British press were savage and would stop at nothing to get (or create) a story. I thought the description was too harsh but sounds like it was quite accurate. I’m glad that Prince Harry is standing up to these paid bullies. Someone in the family has to.

The UK media is actually much better than the US media. Lots of things changed after the death of Diana, but Harry seems to ignore it completely. I don't agree with much of what O'Brien says, but I do applaud him for being one of the very few in the media prepared to see things from Harry's point of view. Not only has Harry lived his whole life knowing that his mother was killed by an out of control, rabid media , of which no-one has ever been held responsible, but it's clear that he has never felt comfortable being who he is. We all look at the royals and imagine how wonderful it must be to be afforded all of this fame and privilege just by being lucky enough to have been born into the right family, but very few of us ever stop to wonder what it must be like like if you don't actually want that life. What if you don't want to be the son of the British monarch? What if you just want to be a normal person who can go anywhere they want and do anything they like without constant, non-stop attention. Many people argue that he brings it upon himself, but he's the son of the British monarch. He will always, always attract attention. Even if he stayed home and never went out, the press would simply make up even more stories about him than they do already. He is trapped inside the body of a British prince and there is no escape. This has, and continues to cause him a lot of mental anguish. And I haven't even touched on what it must be like to read that gets written about his wife and mother of his children. Harry and Meghan must be the most bullied people in all of humanity and it's time people laid off, gave them a break, and stopped listening to the biggest playground bully of them all, Piers Morgan.

How well put. I would like to add the role of the institution, the Royal Family or the Firm. Somehow their relationship with the press and in particular with the so-called “royal experts” or “watchers” seems muddled. They seem to use each other where it suits them. Personnel would seem to be rather “loose lipped” (and may be carrying grudges). As said I write this from The Netherlands. We also have the gossipy (sometimes called gutter) press. If they go over board, they get sued by the royal family, who always wins and proceeds go to charity. Twice a year the press gets invited for a photo shoot. And there is opening of Parliament. Mostly they are left to themselves in their private lives. All in all quiet and probably too boring for the British audience. The tabloids would not have such a high percentage of the market if nobody would buy the rags. Rupert Murdoch, c.s. would soon look for more profitable sources.
