BBTS/EA exclusivity is only valid in the US, not anywhere else in the world...

Where do you live because the "store exclusive" thing is total bs in some regions...i live in Ireland and over here we have NEVER had Walmart,K-Mart or Target and yet i have easily found products that are supposedly "exclusive" to those companies over the counter in regular independent toy shops here...i was also at a transformers covention in the uk back in 2018 and THREE uk based retailers had the so called "walmart CANADA exclusive" G-1 Starscream reiusse on their sales booths

@@AllThings80s more E/A "exclusive" bs....i got the star wars "Jaster Mereel and Montros" figure 2 pack complete with the comic and according to the packaging it stated "only available at Entertainment Earth" and where did i get it?......in Dublin City Comics and Collectables right here in Dublin,Ireland

Welcome to McFarlane's F in his customers over. We in the US have been F'd over with Walmart exclusives for the Super Powers line that are willy nillyly sold out overseas in any toy store. Said figures go for over $100. But are easily found in Japan, and Australia for $9. I totally feel you pal. This is bullcrap on McFarlane's part.

Don’t kick yourself to much Dean ,as all of us as toy collectors have been down this road a few times, i know i been sucked in a few times of thinking i got a exclusive figure from a site knowing later i could of got it cheaper somewhere els or free freight ect. ect, and you are certainly right as as much you still look forward in receiving the item but it does leave a bad taste ,especially when you could of save in delivery cost … but end of the day shit happens and hopefully I’m on the ball for the next purchase.
Anyway Dean 1st time messaging you, just wanted to say luv your videos and enjoy watching them from Australia and you are down to point and say how it is,and enjoying your content that you show as i grew up in the 80s. And quickly changing subject about your last video about the the star was retro collection, as i agree with you tremendously that i was so excited when they 1st released of the original star wars retro figures in 2019 of how they were from the late 70s/80s but hasbro keeps making all this other retro shit that are not “retro” as they are from today modern star was shows especially from the The Acolyte show WTF.I just don’t get it...Anyway keep up the Great work.

You're not a happy camper. Don't blame you, as you could have had two figures for what you paid. Maybe entertainment Earth, though they had an exclusive or meant to say USA exclusive or thought nobody would order it in the USA but then have it shipped around the world.
Yup, if it had been advertised as being an EE exclusive for North America, I could have avoided all of this nonsense.
We are seeing similar themes here in the UK with stuff like MOTU Origins where we are lead to beleive a figure is strictly a USA store exclusive so we need to import the toy in or pay a premium to a small online toy shop importer only to find out 3mths later that our local Smyths toy shops sell them and at 25% less. I think the solution a lot of the time is to wait and not pre-order immediately, sometimes you will loose out and other times you will win and even get it at a cheaper price.

@@AllThings80s From my Experience being in Canada if it says Exclusive to such and such American company its available else where.. if not in my home land or Europe then in the Asian Market at sometimes a way lower price... We get squat here these days so i feel your frustration
It is certainly bitter sweet. The figure looks great but this whole exclusive business becomes a kick in the teeth when you part with your money and then find the same figure being offered by other toy stores/ companies for a lot less money.

Yeah, it's a complete nonsense.
I think it's a good figure. I do like the packaging. Glow in the dark is nice, but where the join in the arms is it seems not to have been treated as it looks like a gap in the glow. As for it being exclusive, that word annoys me. I sympathise with you. Like here in the UK, Character Options who sell Dr Who figures earlier in the year they had an exclusive figure with a Tardis. Limited edition blah blah blah. Only available through them. Recently, it's been sold at a comic book store, Forbidden Planet, same price but hardly exclusive.

If I had to guess, it was a US exclusive to Entertainment Earth, as sometimes that opens up opportunities overseas for other places to sell exclusive items. But either way, I'm not a fan of that either and it really sucks knowing that you overpaid. That's never fun Dean.
All that said however, I passed on this one initially but after seeing your view, I actually kind of want to pick one of these up now. Shipping aside, it definitely seems like a good value for what you get and the functionality of the glow feature looks nice as well.

It does appear that this was an EE Exclusive for America only. It would be nice if they had stated that in the first place. It definitely is a great figure, so I would encourage you to get one 👍🏻

Is it an exclusive to Entertainment Earth the United States?
I know that my company sold a particular product that was not permitted to be sold for export to customers in Canada due to a retailer that had exclusivity on that same product several years ago ( just thinking outside of the box) ???
It would appear that Entertainment Earth have it exclusively in the US. It would have been nice if they had stated that.
It doesn’t sound fair to me as they have misled you about the availability of the figure (it being an exclusive with them only).
Yup, if EE had said that they had the exclusive rights to sell it in America only, it would have been so much clearer.

I wouldn’t say you’re overreacting, because I’d be pissed off too. $38 for shipping is highway robbery, especially when the figure was only $30. Unfortunately, I believe the rest of the comment section may be correct. The “exclusive” gimmick tends to only apply to American markets. Meaning if you’re an American consumer, you’d only be able purchase from a specific store. That is, unless, you choose to purchase the same item from a foreign market. It’s a real pain in the ass to explain and understand. Which probably doesn’t do much to boost one’s mood when they’re already frustrated. So I apologize for that. I think it’s best, in the future, to double check to see if you can find it elsewhere for cheaper.

This is a bloody outrage, assuming that the other figures you found are genuine and not knockoffs.
I'd be tempted to email Entertainment Earth and explain that they misled customers with their listing and that you will not be buying from them again unless they are prepared to offer you a refund of the postage costs.
You bought the figure from them in good faith based on their description of exclusivity and this was completely misleading. I would be livid as well.
I’m going to try and find out where these Thai sellers get theirs from. The fact is, this is clearly not exclusive to Entertainment Earth so they really shouldn’t be advertising it as such.

That did cross my mind, but typically knockoffs are cast from originals and as these only just got released, I don't think there would have been enough time to do this.
