I’m in the US and never heard of Parkrun until seeing your videos. I looked into it and there is one an hour from my house. I went last week for the first time..and guess who is going back tomorrow?? No where near the time of J Mills but it’s a start!
Mate, love watching your content. Best running narrator out there! Keep em coming. Can only dream of running in those temperatures here in Brisbane, AUS!!
Thanks Red Shorts / Blue Cap for pacing me to finish 2 places behind you, kept you in sight for the last 15km and it genuinely made me sneak under 1:24 (so I even beat my stretch goal!). Nice chatting to you after too, legend 👍
Fantastic! Well done, a most entertaining video. I was with you all the way. Or so it seemed, all the way from Sydney Australia... My recent fastest Half is 1h 23-15, so I could understand your pain. Although I am jealous of the flat course, there's nowhere flat for races round here
Great running and another fun video! You're definitely in good shape for a sub 3 at Newport 👍🏻 I'm also running Newport and hoping for an identical half to you at dorney lake next week. If i have a good day like you did I'll be very happy!
Brilliant running Jody - huge congrats! Another great video, too 🙌🏼 Is it bad that when you said 1:23 I was kind of (just a little bit) pleased that my PB is still 5 seconds quicker? Salty man that I am 😂
Love the content, all about the death coughs! I'm in awe of you 3 Mills brothers and how you can all go sub 4min kms over a half marathon and beyond! I've yet to sub 20 a 5k never mind a 10k or a half marathon, How long did it take you 3 to get to that fitness level I'm plateauing currently and am looking for some guidance. Is it all down to just slow high mileage each week? Thanks 👍🏻
Cheers mate! I made the biggest progress having 1 easy Longrun a week and 1 interval session, which were usually 1km intervals with a couple runs easy stuff around and 30-40K milage. Mostly steady and easy running the first 6 months of running got me close to 20mins but couldn't quite crack it until doing good intervals sessions and then 3 months later managed 18:22 and 38:09 10K off doing the same but quicker intervals at around 50KM per week. Been much slower progress the next year or so to get down to 17:24 at around 70k average weekly. Learning to listen to my body and not do another session Thursday every week I think is beginning to help though, Good luck!
@@CrownMyRun amazing comment! Thanks for the insight and advice. Into week 4 of a half marathon training block getting between 40-50+k a week for the 1st time and noting a big difference already, reassured to hear its normal to make slow progress in terms of dropping the pace though👍🏻. Onwards and upwards this year for your channel, all the best for 2025, can't wait to see what you 3 have in store for us 💪🏻💪🏻
@@CrownMyRunAwesome progress on relative little mileage, I reckon. 👍 May I ask, what BMI you have? I think, I am just too heavy, to get under 20 Min. 😂
Congratulations on the PB! I briefly hit the 4 min/km pace a few times during my parkrun at Battersea, on 28th Dec, for my first sub 21 for 18 months, and for my highest age grade ever of 78.91%. Maybe I shall be doing two or three Halves, this year, as well, I will decided by the end of Jan what to enter.
Incredible effort, I’ve been trying to work out the size for some new Pro 4s as everywhere seems to say different things! Looks like a half size is the way to go
Yesterday at parkrun, I gave someone ahead of me, a name in my head, sexy blue shorts man, and I took down sexy blue shorts man!! So that’s my winning strategy from now on!
Same old story during the marathon block.... -Sign up in a half to test how marathon pace feels.. nice and controlled... will be a good workout... -Start race... hey I feel good... this could be the day for a PB...race the half like there's no tomorrow 😂😂😂😂
J Mills is now the voice in my head when I go running. Often telling me to overtake people that are too fast for me.
🤣🤣🤣 😈😈😈
You wanna know what my half marathon PB is????…..1:23:27 😅😅😅 Unbelievable
Damnnnn! Maybe that was the plan all along 🤔🤔

I’m another recent convert to CrownMyRun and have been eagerly awaiting new content. And what content it is! Congratulations on the new PB 🎉🎉
Thank you!!
Well done J mills 👏 I ran Battersea half sat too , got a pb of 1:31:54 was absolutely buzzing , gps was all over the place , well done 👊
Thanks mate and well done to you! 🎉🎉🎉
Who would have thought giving you gilded armour would lead to me running a half marathon
Think what you could do if you give him 3rd age
Mhmmm!!!
Mate, love watching your content. Best running narrator out there! Keep em coming.
Can only dream of running in those temperatures here in Brisbane, AUS!!
Thanks mate! Oh man, I'd be a good 10mins slower at least in the heat over there 🤣🤣
That glorious sight as you round the corner onto the track, to be greeted by an awe-inspiring row of portaloos
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Commenting every video until we get the "Go with the leader" parkrun styley
Hahahaha

Nice one mate!! Hope to catch you at some other events soon!
I'm surprised this channel doesn't have more subs. You've got a TV presenter voice, love these videos.
Thanks a lot mate ☺️☺️

@kelvin7511 Nice one mate - you'll he sub 30 in no time!
Great stuff. Setting yourself up nicely for that sub 3. The holy grail of club running.
Cheers mate 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
D.Mills would be proud of that sprint finish J.Mills, nice work indeed!
Thanks mate!
Looks like a nightmare running on that course with all the laps!
Certainly hard mentally at times but nice knowing if you blow up you don't have to get very far to collect your things 🤣🤣

Good job! I am always amazed how many different running styles people have. Every race I do I see something new. I probably look weird too :D
Hahaha yeah, I run like a raptor 🤣🤣
Congrats! All congregated together forming an (sweaty) alliance of pain!😅 You are now on the run for a sub 3!💪

Congrats - Ive just ordered the AP4's in my tts 10 😱
Cheers mate - hopefully they are alright for you!! They are only JUST too small for me
Hope you and blue vest thanked each other for dragging both you round

Great race mate! D Mills still the 🐐 though
Always ❤️

Was it D Mills?! 😱😱😱
I tried them recently too, retiring a pair of AlphaFlys... they are good, but I will be going back to the AlphaFlys, methinks.
They are both so close in my eyes now! Wasn't expecting it after how much I hated the Pro3s!
Around the outside,
arounde the outside!
🤣🤣🤣
J Mills needs to be a guest on The Bad Boy Running podcast! #FYB
May I know how to add the overlays with pace / elevation etc., in a video. I would love to try this in my next race.
My insta360go3 lets me import the data from the Garmin watch with a few clicks!
Are the shoes worth the money big dog
I think if you're getting a super shoe, these have to be the pair given they are the same price or cheaper than the competing brands.

Hahaha - the half I have 3 weeks before will need to be marathon pace... 👀👀👀
Does the camera battery last on continuous recording for a half marathon or need a charge/battery swap half way in
Camera lasts about 40mins, so you need to turn on and off quite a bit. I bring 2 for full marathons!
@@CrownMyRunahh ok ill stick with my cam then last 1h30 but its heavy 😢
Should i half size up from Vaporfly 3?
My normal size fits fine!
Matt wasn't P1 🤔
He's working on it 🤣🤣
@CrownMyRun awesome effort 👌 are you planning to go to runfest at worthing in May? Going for a sub 40 💪 great atmosphere there.

Oh you
Running vests on road half marathon. Why oh god why.
