I have been using the Kamoer KH Manager since the beginning of the year and have been impressed with it. This does look interesting. At least the calibration fluids match the range we are expecting in our tanks, unlike some manufacturers! As always an enjoyable video.
I love the length of the probe cables. The Reef Factory ones were so short they're basically inside your sump. Been looking at this to replace all my Reef Factory gear, so thanks for doing the unboxing.
Good overview - very limited information out there on this unit. I’m pretty much sold on this device. It’s more cost effective than getting all those sensors separately. It has ORP (plan to use ozone). The fact the calibration utilises the temperature sensor in addition to the probe can only be a good thing as far as accuracy goes. Decent app (assuming push notifications will work for me). Dissolved oxygen sensor would be very interesting to test out.
The Last 3 days i have setup a full GHL Combo for my tank, KHD,2 Dosers, PL4 and Lots of sensors and powerbars. It was the best decision in tank life. So many things one controller can do, i have removed alot of stuff from my cabinet with seperate controllers… I would rechnend using a Controller Like this. But the downside of the Quijan is defnetly the leak of controlleble Powersokets…
@@ParkersReef yeah the software is at the beginnuing kind of tricky. But ist pretty good from an programmers view… ist from the structure of an actual Programm… But Inhaber to say ist Not as comfortable like really optimised UIs. For myself a medicalengenering student ist Not a real probleme.
Nice review 👍 I myself will not buy anymore kamoer. Tried 1 dosing pump but the app keeps logging off and it will never send notifications. The only app on my s24ultra which will not notify. 🤷♂️
Yes, I have reviewed it: ua-cam.com/video/22HoJ47Ij7A/v-deo.htmlsi=HnQ-Vi-Z52HTQrSr It doesn’t connect to wifi, has much less sensors and was also supplied with a power pack that caused it to not function 😬
@@ParkersReef Both kits come with probes as far as I know. Neptune salinity is an add on I think. My apex kit came with PH, Temp, ORP, level sensor, leak sensor. Better value imo.
@jonathanstephens7804 both come with probes, but not all the probes. Then there is the issue of the reliability of the Neptune salinity probe which has a reputation of being useless. But I agree, you can do more with a fully fledged controller. That being said, it’s a mute point here in australia - Neptune don’t support down under
@@ParkersReef I had a chat to a few of the Sydney & Brisbane aquariums, and it sounds like Neptune might be getting a supplier for Australia involved soon? Really hope so. What do you think the best alternative is for water changers in Australia?
For water changers? I’d definitely go Kamoer not Neptune for auto water changes. For controllers, I wouldn’t touch Neptune with a ten foot pole even if they got an Australian distributor. They’ve left us high and dry before and will likely do it again

Yeah Kamoer make quality equipment, no doubts about that!!

Glad it was helpful!
That's a pretty nice tool. FWIW I didn't know what ORP was good for until I learned about sulphate reactors. Thanks for the demo
Yeah they’re much more efficient when operating in a very low oxygen environment

Yeah I’d like to play with that big dissolved oxygen sensor :)

Not a fan of GHL software, but their hardware is generally pretty robust 👍🏻

😍 nice piece of kit 👌👏✌️
Yeah it’s not bad at all!!
Will you keep using this monitor long term? Would like to hear an update on a few months times on how it’s going for you!
Yeah I will and you bet, I’ll be sure to give updates here!

Fair enough 👍🏻
Hanna has something very similar The Marine Monitor

How do you support the channel.? The merch ?
Watching and subscribing helps heaps, but you can always join as a member and contribute a couple dollars a month :)
@@ParkersReef there you go
Legend, thank you!!
Interesting device!
Also "My pH runs a bit low.." @ 8.09. /looks at her 7.66 pH. LOL
Haha yeah, calcium reactor life 😂
not user friendly if non standard calibration solution is required.
And the notifications suck.
What is standard calibration fluid?
You can pickup calibration fluids for ph in 4/7/9/11 fairly easily, these are a little less common - but it does come with a set
@@GETBNT1 ph 4 ,7,10 as I know off.
Hanna , pin point.
@@wiekiatong4018 Hach sell this calibration fluid so it’s not uncommon at all, I’m pretty sure I even have a bottle of 6.86 in my Ute.
So…. Is this a review???
Hahaha I prefer to call it not a review :)
To expensive
def not cheap, but in comparison to other devices that can measure even some of these sensors its well priced
too expensive still
Priced far too high.
You can get into the GHL or Neptune world for similar money. Time will tell if quality wins.
With all those probes in the GHL or Neptune market???
