What's Cody's story now? He's doesn't have one. His entire existence was depended on Roman having the belt. Now the bloodline story is in limbo and lost all momentum. Which was the best thing going for the WWE. But I'm glad we paused all of that to give the IWC what they wanted and put the belt on Cody. Which they probably already regret
@@georgealvarez1195 Cody is still feuding with the new Bloodline, whom attacked him on SmackDown. He also feuded with AJ in a short-term feud leading up to CATC. Are they as memorable as Cody's story leading up to WM40? No, but that's because it was so good, it has to take A LOT to even come close to it.
As much as I wish Cody defended it at least a bit more on TV, it absolutely beats the dull last year of Roman's reign (no pun intended). I like Roman, I think his character is monumental and one of a kind, but it just feels nice to see the champion actually wrestle more than once every couple of months

The best way to deal with IWC is don't take it seriously, they find a way to complain about everything! Most of them are either apologetic fans that can't see anything wrong with their favourites or just ppl who aren't fans of anything who just go with what's fashionable at the time and then get bored of it

I still remember,how people started saying Becky Hogan just because Liv Morgan didn't win the title right after Rhea vacated it. I didn't care,cause I knew that the story going forward would be interesting and I wasn't disappointed. I genuinely believe that a lot of wrestling fans that want someone to win ASAP don't have any patience and want everything to happen instantly. As someone,who watches WWE weekly and discusses it with just one person, I just watch wrestling as a TV show, I can wait for new episode to release,if it means it will be fun. And it's usually fun, so I am quite happy with how WWE is rolling at the moment
They also want longterm storytelling yet still say things “Why tf is the Bloodline storyline STILL going on?? uhh it’s soooo stale.”
The biggest heel in the industry is IWC, I wish you knew how much I wanted to join the community just to bash it, there are some good accounts that are genuinely nice like yourself and Hangemhigh, but in general, the IWC is the biggest heel in the history of pro wrestling
You aren’t even allowed to have your own opinion anymore. I watch soccer (football), American Football, Basketball, Boxing, and pro-wrestling: pro wrestling by far is the most unlikable fanbase. Fickle, short-minded, impatient, arrogant, ignorant, anything. They also have the worst takes ever.

On the topic of Sami, Cody and Becky, its also happening with Liv as well. People were mad they gave the title to Becky instead of giving it right away to Liv. I think they did all the right moves from when Rhea relinquished to Becky winning and then droping to Liv. Thing is tho, 2 weeks after she won the title in the PLE and the subsequent defense in a Steel Cage, they were already talking about how she wasn't defending the title. Two bloody weeks. Wasn't good Becky winning, we want Liv, and then Liv wins, and then you see people turning on her. Crazy stuff.
They wanted her to win the championship in a battle royal instead of beating a legend in ppv💀

Tbh, my stance on Liv has never changed. I never thought she had what it takes to be the main champion. But I don't know how many people were like me
@lucaslonchampt613 I felt the same, she always felt like a mid carder to me and I never cared about her, but since returning in the rumble she's been feeling like a main eventer to me. The title fits her, unlike in her first reign, now she seems ready. She's no Rhea Ripley in the ring, but she's good. Outside the ring is where she shines the most, and throughout history we saw that for some wrestler that was enough to have a great career.

I'll just say I believe her best role is as the girl that gets battered and sells before giving the hot tag, the female Ricky Morton in a sense. I don't think she provides much besides selling to a show, but maybe it's just me.

Seriously man, the roman fan accounts almost made me dislike roman, i liked him even in his big dog days. Cody was actually right the AEW fans made me dislike AEW. I'm not proud to say that when i first installed the app to see the we want cody trend i became part of it and lashed out to anyone who has any opinion that's different from me, the first thing i did after i wake up was go to x and see what others were saying then i realised i was being hypocritical and everyone has a right to like/ dislike any wrestler or promotion they want and It's so much better to stay away from x and instagram comments.

I tend to regard any & all fandoms as having serious issues with behavior & perspective to the point of it being super unhealthy (just yesterday I was getting called slurs for not loving a cartoon show), but the IWC is probably the best/worst example of it. And people IN the industry like Tony Khan or Britt Baker who encourage that kind of behavior aren't helping.

This is why I never want Jey Uso to win a title, not because I don't support him but because it is going to ruin everything for him. Wrestlers do not put value in the title the same way the fans do. And Jey ever since the pandemic has been pushed to the main card. He has been getting a lot of TV time, being the face of PLE's which has pushed his overall popularity and merch sales. Once WWE finally decide to pull the trigger on him, the toxic fans will turn on him eventually like they always do. Bayley, Becky, Charlotte, Cody, Sami, even Possibly LA knight once he wins the US title will get the same treatment like the rest. These fans clearly don't appreciate the product for what it is and just want to log in and spread as much hate and negativity as possible.
They complained about PPV's having to many matches, HHH slimmed it down to 5 and they complain again that PPV's have few matches.
They complained about short title reigns and how title changes every 3 to 4 months made the titles lose relevancy and prestige, WWE gives champions long title reigns and they still complain about title reigns being too long.
You can never satisfy these people. the best thing is to enjoy the product how you want to and cut ties with such communities. its better that way. that's why left such communities and stopped engaging with online media related to wrestling.
Same thing with Roman Reigns. He had a run with the belt that lasted over 1000 days which people saw as "boring" and "felt like he wasn't dropping the belt to someone who needed it more than him" but now that he's off TV and taking a break, people wanna act like his reign with the Undisputed Universal Title was one of the best ever.
No. No it wasn't. He barely defended it every month and towards the tail end of his reign, his matches had a ton of interference from the rest of The Bloodline. Oh, but now that Roman's off TV, the IWC wants to act like he had one of the greatest reigns ever all because Solo is doing a terrible job at leading The Bloodline (He isn't by the way. In my opinion, he's fine and WWE knows he's not as popular as Roman. That's why leaning into that makes him such a great heel).
Plus, all the "We Want Roman" chants. Personally, I don't even see Roman until the Royal Rumble or the build to WrestleMania next year. Allow him a long-overdue well-deserved break. I swear once fans see something they don't like without giving it a chance, they immediately turn on it because it's not something they're used to.
I mean I always thought Reigns Reign was one of the best of all time, idk I’m the mindset that the World Title is special, it should be defended on exclusively PLE’s. Especially as a heel, it’s a reign you’ll never see again, the interference served a purpose with the payoff at Mania, I
know it’s just my opinion but I really liked it, I defended him retaining at 39 since Cody hadn’t lost at all in the build up, would of definitely be turned on by now, I’m glad they waited, almost fucked it up yeah but 40 was one of the best mania’s of all time. If I see a wrestler I never heard of, because I don’t scour the internet 20 hours a day, and I politely ask who that wrestler is, 9 out of 10 times, I’ll get blasted with “how do you not know who that is?” “How can you call yourself a wrestling fan if you don’t know who X is, you freaking idiot?” And I’m like, if that’s who his fans are like, then later. I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was 4 years old and was in the actual wrestling industry for years and was a specialist for the Pro Wrestling Torch which led to me becoming a Wikipedia source. You don’t know anything about ME but I learned a lot about YOU. The IWC drives more people away than it attracts and then when numbers drop, it feeds into their toxicity. It’s a snake 🐍 that keeps eating its own tail.
Absolutely agree! You obviously can't please everybody, but the IWC always turn on themselves so quickly. As soon as Cody gets the title, they want it off of him. As soon as Roman leaves, they all of a sudden desperately want him back. You can have disagreements with how things work out, but make up your minds as to who/what to support.

Wrestling fans could rival Star Wars fans with the amount of toxic fans.
It’s because we all have different tastes on what we want to see in wrestling.
For example I’m a big fan of the Attitude/Ruthless Aggression Era style of Sports Entertainment wrestling, with lots of crazy soap opera style stories.
I personally don’t like to focus too much on the matches in wrestling, all that is secondary to me.
And then you get these snobby elitists fans that just want to see flips and dives and match after match after match, if you like that cool, you can like what you like, but personally I’m not a fan.
We all bitch and moan at each other because we all want to watch our own version of wrestling that matches our taste.
Neither company is as bad as anyone makes it out to be.

those kind of fans don't really enjoy wrestling. they may have enjoyed it in the past during the attitude era, which as a whole has aged like milk, but not now. they complain about everything: too much blood, not enough blood, this guy is too small, this guy is too big, that has no personality, this other guy has nothing but personality. these kind of so called fans can not be pleased and only watch wrestling to bitch about it later. and i'm calling out both sides of the coin.
i enjoy wrestling in nearly all its forms: high flying, mat based, hardcore, strong style, etc. hell, i've been watching old AJPW matches from the 80s and 90s and i've come to love king's road style. there is something in wrestling for everyone. and if you can't find it, then that's a you problem. wrestling as a whole has never been more accessible. so its on you as a fan to find something you like and enjoy it instead of jumping online and whining and moaning.

This can be said of any specific group of fans, its just human nature. The IWC is a collection of various people in the world online watching wrestling, opinions vary and those opinions conflict. Stop acting as if they one single monolithic group of people....oh which everyone commenting and the person who made this video are part of.
Comlpetely agreed - it is impossible as with Messi/Ronaldo fans, you can enjoy watching both and be a fan of both, same with WWE/AEW, both have their cons and pros but at the end of the day, its more wrestling for us - WWE is the hottest it has ever been since Attitute Era/Ruthless Agression Era in my opinion, AEW is well established by now and have ALL IN in Wembley incoming, TNA is coming back and gaining momentum from their partnership with WWE, NJPW is still strong and running, ROH is...still alive and taping - imagine complaining about getting more of something you claim to love. I feel like if you are true wrestling fan, you enjoy wrestling regardless of the company.

This is exactly why I haven't turned on Cody Rhodes. I love Sami Zayn to and Bayley and love them, but with Cody, I invested over 2 years into "finishing the story" and it ended in probably the most emotional wrestling moment I have ever felt and now I am just supposed to tear him down and slander him because he so called "boring", no. Plus the Hell in a Cell performance made it so he will always be over with me. 😂
