That aint no beer belly, and besides, 6-pack abs are over-rated, I have a Keg,lol. Poor Cat's eye. When you were riding ole Greenie and opened your mouth, I was waiting for some big ole bug to fly in there. Glad you got the Dyna out, and thanks for the shout-out and video in the background. Peace-out.
Great video. Awesome choice of music when riding the shovelhead. The absolute best advice that I give everyone for everything is...keep your finger out of it 😂Cheers
Lol 😂 😂 thanks YR. Yeah the funny thing is about the music while riding the shovel head when I first published the video with UA-cam. They copyrighted me for my original first song so right before publishing it I had to go in and remove the first and add a different one that UA-cam let me pick out and it turned out it was a really good song the way it fit with the riding
Good to see greeny out on the road. I bet your little puffs of smoke out the back cylinder is just some oil getting past one of the valve guides. Also be careful messing with the tank on the 67 get a bore scope and peel in there first to make sure it isn't pitted to $hit before you start heating and trying to fix it. That can turn into a $hit show right quick. Good video. Swap meet this Sunday in central Jersey.
Thanks matt. And yeah, I’m a bit leery about repairing the shovel tank because yes, it is pitted in there so I’m in the rush lol 😂 and yes me and Billy might try to go to Central Jersey
Slick I had the same problem with my 93 softail harley battery was only 2 years old and always on a tender, would not even crank with a jump from my truck turns out battery shorted or open inside ,swapped out with a battery from other bike and it cranked over,of course harley warranty is only one year .
Yeah, more than likely is the same problem and my starter would work, but as I said in the video that starter has been acting crazy the last few years and not wanting to start sometime and making loud screeching noise and then starting when it wants to. So It’ll probably be best to just get a new starter as well.
I know what you mean man. It drives me nuts when something with my bike isn't mechanically correct. When someone tells me to "just ignore it, it is running fine" , " just ride it, it will probably run another 30,000 miles running like that" , etc etc . To me that's like nails on a chalkboard.
😂😂 yeah man!!! But in alot of other situations, i am my own worst enemy!! And way over thing thinks too!!! But your probably the same in that manner too!!! 😂😂😂 👍🍺
@RickyBloom 😂 well the speedo doesn’t work because the spot where the cable and gear drive goes into the tranny was filled and welded over. Back in the day guys were known to do that because that gear drive in the tranny was notorious for detonating and cracking the cases. The tach is not working because I had previously replaced the tack inner cable. It worked for a little bit and then snapped again so now I have to do it over and reroute it this time better so it doesn’t snap again but that’s on my list of things to do again!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Well, if you have been on my channel for a while and understand I used to kick with my right leg until my sportster broke my ankle and ruptured my Achilles tendon ever since those surgeries I’ve been kicking with my left leg and at first it was awkward, but now I’m just used to it. It’s really not that bad
Thanks bro, joking about going down was a bad idea, and my battery tender lead to jumper pack probably don’t work either, so not a great video in my eyes, i can’t win em’ all 👍🍺
Yeah, that’s a good point too, and if I tig welded it, I’d have that whole filled faster than I could with any type of soldering or brazing…… the faster it can get done the less heat it’ll take
Hi Slick Your idea of using the battery tender connection to attach the jump pack has one major flaw. The wire gauge is way too small to carry the high current the starter demands. All it was designed to do was carry a few amps for the tender. The starter will draw upwards of a hundred or so. You need to put the jump pack directly to the battery terminals or directly to the starter itself. There is a jackshaft bolt at the tip of the starter gear that needs to come out before the starter can be removed . The 1992 dyna custom exactly as you have was my first bike also. Bought it new in 1992. They also made a dyna daytona version , same bike with a commemorative daytona beach bike week paint scheme.
Yeah, Anthony, I was going to write that on the screen that maybe the battery tender wires were too small for the jump pack, but I was just too tired to write any more words on the goddamn screen I was over it but yes, I thought that that was also my problem with the jump pack
I dont want to rag on you about it , just trying to help , I dont want you to replace the starter unnecessarily. I like the way you are thorough and willing to go to the manual to get specs and the technical info you need but i know electrical issues can be difficult
And as I said, for the last few years that starter has been really suspect and not working at times when you initially go to start it up. So if it turns out to just be a battery issue, I really need to think about getting a new starter anyways.
Yeah I’m sorry, it was a really poor choice way to joke around!! My bad. And I know this I’ve been down twice so it’s not something to joke around about. 👍🍺
You sure got a fleet of bikes Slick. Always something to work on! Glad to see you are watching my vidoe's to learn ya a little something ha ha. All the best!
Thanks Ralph!!! And of course i watch and study the master at work by watching your videos!!! I own nine bikes, HOW ELSE AM I GONNA LEARN HOW TO FIX THEM- if i don’t watch and learn from your videos!! DUH!! Your the man!!! I thought you might get a kick out of me circling your head on my tv!!! 😂😂. 👍🍺
Hell my 82 shovel smokes a bit. Even after doing the heads. Shitty valve seal design. I had an old Harley Guru once tell me to tell people it's old enough to smoke. Glad the flatty is good to go. Great video as always.
mebe the ring gaps have rotated to a point where they are more aligned and a little oil is getting by? , whatever gorgeous mo'sickle and your roads seem a damn sight better thaN what we have for riding a rigid, conclusion : RIDE !
Yeah Frank, i hope your right!!! I’ve been riding the balls off her this past week!! And hard too!!! She runs great and hella strong too!! In this upcoming video this week I show you the little bit of gray smoke and I do a ride along with her on film, running her hard too!!!! 👍🍺
Sorry man, i knew that might not go over well, i’ve been down a couple times myself. My bad. It’s just dropping my phone and watching that video back, it looked and sounded just like something it wasn’t, so i took a chance. Again my apologies, if that truly triggered you 👍🍺 SLICK
Thanks for watching, and thank you to everyone that gave me useful advice!!! You guys rock!!! 👍🍺 SLICK

Thanks Vick come get your flathead and then let’s bring you over your Panhead
Good thing Butch has three wheels. That might be a bit sketchy to ride otherwise. Lol.
Right!!! Lol 😂

Love the little sporty but why is the speedo and Tack not working .LOL if you like me, it's on your list to do. I'm just not there yet on my list ?
@RickyBloom 😂 well the speedo doesn’t work because the spot where the cable and gear drive goes into the tranny was filled and welded over. Pardon me I'm not trolling. I think the springer front wheel is laced offset. Could be what's the deal with the funky wheel on the trike.
Yeah maybe- if I end up looking at it 5 months from now in the fall, I’ll take that into consideration
It must feel awkward kick starting with your left leg

Wassup slick, SPANKY here. Happy to see the flatty is cool. And ol blue looks good with the spotlights. Another great video. PANHEADS FOREVER.

@@SlickHeadCustomCycles I enjoyed it brother
my 2 cents, only weld the tanks, tig is the best, if you brass are soilder it will always be there and then you cannot tig it,
Yeah, that’s a good point too, and if I tig welded it, I’d have that whole filled faster than I could with any type of soldering or brazing…… the faster it can get done the less heat it’ll take
Thanks for all the support Slick! Have a good one bro! 🤘
