Mine was way more complicated. 2014 Mk7 GTD. The blower was held in by three small T25 screws, one of which was really hard to access, plus a clip that was virtually impossible to get to! Don't know if it was different on mine as it has dual zone climate control.

I've got the same problem 2014 Mk7 TDi. Its like its meant to be more complicated and un-user servicable for the UK market

What are the sure symptoms of a bad fan motor? Mine starts out fine then slows down to nothing, especially now that I'm using AC. Was fine with heater on in the winter... Thank you! Looks easy to replace!

@@mfitkowsky Yes it was the fan motor! Easy to replace and fairly cheap too.

Very helpful video, thank you! The only difference was on my car (2015 Sportwagen TDI S) the first 2 clips that you pulled out are plastic thumb screws...I pulled on them for a minute or so before I realized.

I have a problem on my Vw golf 6 Gti 2009. no hot air comes out from the central and right vents. I replaced the internal radiator it solved the problem for a short time but then it came back. can you help me? thanks a lot

Have you tried to recalibrate the whole HVAC system? I know on the MK7s you hold down the AC and dash vent button at the same time until both lights alternate flashing for 20 seconds.
