Some others to try that are on You Tube: The Wind Cries Mary, Stockholm (this is beautiful); Jimi Hendrix, Lulu Show, Full Version, Sunshine of Your Love (Cream Tribute) - Jimi overan and snubbed Lulu by not allowing her a sing along. Result? Lulu never invited him on the show again; Johnny B Goode, Berkley (astonishing - goes through it like an express train). Something you have never heard? Try: Brian Jones Jimi Hendrix There Ain't Nothing Wrong With That. Go for the picture of Brian Jones in costume in black and white. This is a nice track. Haunting melody, with a sitar! Recorded initially after Monterey, but completed after Jimi's death at Olympic studios. Hendrix? Genius. No other word can describe him. Yes I saw him, we all loved him, and we all miss him.
Hi Georgia, welcome back ! .. Yeaah Jimi Hendrix ! - The greatest guitarist that ever was....There was an interview with Eric Clapton who said he saw Jimi live at one of his concerts and turned to a mate saying - I may as well give up playing the guitar now, how do you follow that ? Lol Keep your eyes open Georgia for a new film of Jimi that has been remastered. If you ever buy an album, make it - "Electric Ladyland" - Jimi played his guitar left handed - He didn't have a left handed guitar so - it's upsidedown....He could play it with his teeth plucking the strings. He could play it behind his back, behind his head, any which way and not miss a note. This clip showed using his teeth & then behind his head No wonder Eric Clapton was so stunned he almost gave up playing....Incidentally Eric was voted number one for the greatest guitar riff ever, with the song " Let It Grow" - I was expecting something like Deep Purple's Smoke On The Water & was surprised the riff is a beautiful gentile guitar piece & not heavy rock....& yea, it is that wonderful. Eric Clapton , known as Slowhand Clapton, after releasing the album "461 Ocean Boulevard", gained the title - "God" for his playing by fans. - Great video & response. Byee X Jim
