Great strategy. If you don't speedrun this and play regularly, the computer starts doing INSANE drops after like half an hour. I'm talking tons of reavers and high templars (the computer is pretty deadly with the psi storm). And at times it would attack with 4-5 scouts and 3 carriers at once! Interestingly though, the actual bases that house the beacons are not well defended.
Friggin amazing! I will however have to try it on ultra slow since my macro game is weak. Update: I could only manage the first 3. Then I had to have a massive war of attrition. Mostly using the slowest speed it took me 3:15:34. 😓
the best strategy looks like this, im watching your videos because it would take me longer to figure the same strategy myself, not for every mission though, in this one i reinforced my base because im slower than you and the protoss begin to attack the base harder if you cant manage in 4 minutes to win, if they destroy the main building you lose even if you are a seconds about to win

I should use that consume ability more often. Here it was key. He didn't even uncloak. So, in what time do you need to finish this mission in order to get the bonus mission?
Interesting approach but sadly not working as AI's behaviour is fairly random and won't act the same way on one's game. Also, the Photon Cannon Zerglings rush doesn't work on my side, even with more units than you. Thi is a very risky and very unlikely to work strategy that hence annihilates your chance to win if you fail.
Well this was a speedrun after all, probably took a whole lot of tries to pull off, with just the right amount of good RNG and insane micro skills. I don't think he can just beat it like this every single time, for exactly the reasons you touch on.
This is something I hate from the first StarCraft, a tiny mistake somewhere can ruin your entire game. StartCraft II is a lot more permissive and accessible. You just don't have to full tryhard to win.

I just finished this mission. Turtled a bit and used hydra-ultra. Took me 10 times longer than this. Damn that was fast.
