Got to love the a/c working. Its been 100 plus degrees here in texas and man The a/c makes everything great. 😎 especially when i have all black leather interior the seats get real hot . Thank god for A/C.

Using fox body accessories in my Torino just because the ac parts are great in terms of price and ease of installation.
Brew, I can’t tell you enough how I love your videos. I anticipate the next. Your car is looking awesome. Never was a fan of the color but is slowing growing on me along with the CJ build. These cars have such great lines, when you see them clean like your it does t get better. Just recently purchase a red 93 with 50k original female owned( original owner) car that is not registered in the cobra registry. Car has needed a little tlc and your videos enspire me to keep it authentic and original. True to what it is and appreciate the pure Beauty of the Foxbody.

I never do that, I’ve learned through the years that’s not necessary for cold a/c. Although IT SHOULD BE DONE... I feel like I need to to state that.
I used rubber grommets for my Cobra spoiler to seal the bolts to the hatchback. I got them from Home Depot. They work pretty good. I can’t remember what size I got but I bought a few different sizes.

The AC systems in these Fox Bodies must be resilient. Just charge and go!! That’s crazy with that system being open like that you can just add a can of freon yourself and have cold air with no evac. When I first got my Mustang I was working on it to get it road worthy at the same time worried that the AC would not work when it came time to charge it. Well it’s been cold now for a year and a half. I bet it had been years since the AC system had been charged or working

Quick question did you use the same black paint for the door trim on your door locks and did you paint the a/c components black as well

Good video man. Cervinis sells round gaskets for sealing around the mounting holes and brake light harness under part number P9112. I hope this helps.

I bought center console from Ford back in 1999, it came white, i had to spray with correct color black at the time, spray can from Mustangs Unlimited. Center console to hold Coffee comes black? I may have to buy this again. I have 1991 Mustang GT i bought new and still have it in 2021, 110k.

Btw, I don't think you're supposed to charge the system with the can upside down, especially with the port being right at the compressor like it is on our Foxes...because you're pouring liquid right into it and it's possible to hydro lock it, which would be a bad day for one's hopes to have cold AC. Safest way is to hold can up right and shake the can back and forth about 180 degrees.

When I use the ac on my 86 four eye the idle fluctuates and sometimes turns off, do you have any suggestions for it? I have already replaced the Iac and the tps sensor, idc where to go from here

I have an 88 5.0 notch and it had an ac delete. I wanna re install the ac system and lmr sells 2 kits compatible for my year. Should I spend the 1200 for the AC auto air or go for the original ac unit for 700? Both are 134a

Oh yeah. That stuff goes for high dollar anymore. I got a few cases that I keep for the Foxes and AE86s in both mine, and my wife's families. I've been offered $40 a can! Blows my mind, but Id rather keep it for the family.
SdMDeADnKiCkiN Yeah when people find out you have some they're quick to try to buy it. I'm hanging on to mine too, R134 does ok but it gets super hot and humid around here and I want to be able to hang meat in my rides,lol.

Its looking good buddy car came a long ways in a short period of time. Question me and my buddy changed out the heater core on my fox. When we assembled everything back together heater worked fine but i did notice my middle knob which is the temp didn't want to turn to the cold side. It will only turn half ways and to the hot but wont turn any more i really didn't want to take everything apart again and look behind the dash. Do you know what may cause the knob not to turn all the way from hot to cold? Before it was taken apart it turned fine
Thank you! It’s probably the lever on the box that the cable goes through. Check it out and make sure the cable is routed correctly.

Hey do you really recommend this method? Seen a lot about having to convert to new freon. New seals and dryer. I saw you put together parts that have been open to the air. Can you just blow in some newer freon with a fitting I assume?
That’s what I’ve always done, If something works and saves money i just roll with it.
Did you not pull a vacuum on the system !?!?
Just use a old inner tube cut your pieces as needed. For wing gaskets

use a bicycle innertube and make your own gasket
Anybody have any idea why my compressor won't disengage? Second I attach the ground the the battery, the clutch engages

Can you tell me what I need and how to replace all the a/c components in a stripped out car that's been converted to carb and the the entire engine harness has been removed?
Nick Peacock basically you’ll have to make your own wiring harness for the compressor. Wire in the low pressure switch to kill 12 volts to the compressor. The 12 volts will come from the a/c switch. Ground the other wire and your done. As far as putting the components back in, cake walk, long as you have the factory brackets. If not, well it just got expensive, trust me, mine came with nothing, 400 bucks later for a complete used system. Man I hope the evap core doesn’t leak since it will be getting r12 in it.
LMR has the hardware, but it doesnt look like a spacer was used with the Cobra wing.

Man I am up here in Baltimore, Maryland hot ass summer's cold ass winters make me think about when I do my 4cyl notch V8 swap I am really thinking about running A/C I got a 94 Cobra I no it's not shit but it has some Elder Brock Aluminum heads Trick flow intake car was t-bone it was like bent in half I only payed $1000. for the motor I didn't hear it run it has a cam in it 1.6 Ford racing roller rockers I mean the heads would of cost anywhere from 800 to a G anyway got the whole motor for a G it wasn't a/c car so it the whole sn95 set up where u mount the coil on the power steering pump under drive pulleys but yeah u got me thinking now cause the heat in Maryland gets crazy I still have a lot of work to do but I will get it done sorry about the book lol !

OEM wing just uses butyl tape which you can get through LMR or Amazon etc...

134 with no conversion.. just an adapter

Just go to your local parts store for the adapters that screw into your old ones. R12 to R134 adapter kit

Absolutely, though it’s way more of a pain.
You’ll need an A/C donor car for all the dash parts you’ll need.
