"Wanna come for a walk?" - I got tricked into climbing an active volcano by Chris Broad of ‪@AbroadinJapan‬
Climbing the Nanataki Trail to Hell Valley of Mt. Iwate, with Chris Broad, Go North Japan, Junk Food Japan and Ellythings. After 3 hours of walking, the "hike" ended up being a literal climb up the volcano, through plumes of sulphuric acid, across a treacherous ridge to "the junction".
It was so great to meet new people and make new friends in Japan! Massive thanks and shoutout to Quinlan for guiding us safely up (and down) the mountain, and Nick, Angela and Elly for the extra motivation and company. Also, thanks to Chris for letting me fly his drone and get some of his extra shots too - they definitely elevated the vlog and showed the true scale of the volcano!
