So wud adding some gasket maker on top gasket solved the clearance???? I’m a newbie but I be trying stuff I’m about to redo one now but u have a new subscriber
I originally deleted the gasket and used Permatex Moto Seal. The reason for the gasket delete was to increase the compression but because the cylinder and piston were not the greatest quality the engine was freeporting. Freeporting is when the piston is at TDC the crankcase is open to atmosphere. Adding sealer wouldn’t help because the sealer is very thin when torqued.
If I told you I knew I would be lying. I didn’t focus on changing the timing as much as opening up the ports and smoothing out casting imperfections. I can’t recall if I addressed it in the video but the transfer ports weren’t equal, one opened much sooner than the other, now that’s quality 🤣🤣
Looking at doing a 54mm on a 440 case (Farmertec LEGO kit) have you any experience with the DUKE cylinder and coated pistons?

Thanks for the review. Great saw by the way.
I bought a Meteor piston!
What port numbers did you go with?
