Loving it! Happy to see another parent working on an adventure van. My baby girl is getting super comfy in mine ❤️ excited to see what unfolds for you! Peace ✌🏾
Most vans can fit a 4x8 piece of plywood perfectly from front seat to back. A 4x6 will get you to the back well where your storage will be. A lot of us use reflectix for our privacy windows but it also make for a good insulator if you want to lay it down under the plywood flooring. Can’t wait to see your finished build!
It is a possibility. The only problem is the wires in the middle. I was thinking of a way to water proof it. But we will see. It is still in the making😊😊
Hmm!! U can use the area behind the seats.the tub as your tub or shower. Put a liner in there and like u said a drain plug.and just cover with like a trap door where it can be removed. Oh yea also get a foam mat to put on it when u bathe or shower. The foam mats that look like a puzzle piece..also maybe just a foam mat that u hve in front of kitchen sink is a idea.❤❤
Thank you all for watching. If you have any suggestions on what I can use to insulate the floors and what I can except when I remove the "thingy" on the ceiling of the van..... I AM ALL EARS. I am a newbie at everything, from camping, long road trips, building things etc. But I am up for the challenge!!
I refuse to skip a bathtub. It is only a Sanctuary if there's a tub! I'm 5'2" so i can manage a 40 or 50 gallon sit tub easily. The lid on the tub zips closed, so there is no splashing while driving. I'm setting it up to recirculate through a bucket with a submersible coil heater, filter & UV purifier. I can use a collapsing bucket & 20"x8" folding "doggie" tub for a sudsy sponge bath & rinse, before soaking in the clean water. This way, only a gallon or so is used daily for cleansing. The big tub water is changed out only as needed. ❤
Baths are so relaxing and refreshing but it also seems like lots of work in a van. Still I am up for the challenge. I would love to see how you work yours.
Idk how old your kids are but something I learned working in an elementary school is kids have to be taught how to play outside games… We forget as adults because we had other kids outside teaching us games because outside was popular back then. Once they learn some fun outside games and outside toys they’ll be outside.
@CiCiTheGoldenGoddess I agree. I loves being outdoors as a kids and now too. The only time my kids enjoy the outside is if I am out there with them...jumping rope, throwing ball, bikes, skating etc. Otherwise, I am taking the electronics and kicking them outside and locking the door for awhile🤣. Now if water is involved...they do not want me with them. Thanks for the comment❤️
That liquid yuck in the whatchamacallit for lack of a better term....have you tried vinegar? I clean for a living and there isn't anything I haven't seen vinegar couldn't get up when it comes to a gooey sticky mess. I know it's probably too late now but you will know for next time. 😊 I will be moving into my van at the end of June. The seats have been out since I bought it and there is a bed in the back that I'm not sure I want to use but so far I just finished my window covers and I'm sewing some pillows together so I can hide my clothes in them. I have a floorplan somewhere but I don't know what I'll do yet. I'm hoping I can get out this weekend and go somewhere I can spread out and work on the van a bit. Have fun with your build!
Thank you for sharing! No, it's never too late. Yes, I got up as much as I can but the little that is still there is driving my insane. I will definitely go back and use vinegar to see what else I can remove. And it's all natural...even better❤️❤️
Watch more you tube videos of people building vans. They always document what they used for flooring, insulation , and layout. Maybe get a wet to dry vac to help remove water Good one you.

Thank you so much. Using reflectics on the floors....nice!!
This is actually a great idea

I'm so glad to be here and to hear you parent while recording your content, I love how authentic you are and happy to see your journey ❤
Awwwww....thank you. I thought to try to edit it out but I'm like you know what, this is real life sooooo I will keep it. 😊
@rouseyournicholls we all need to show more of our parenting life, it's our reality!
That is true because it rough, rewarding and a very real part of our journey.
I've had everything from a fold out chair bed to a no build van bed made. I've gone through 3 beds.
Looking forward to your journey.
Thank you for sharing. The bed is one of the things I am stuck on.

Good one you.
Your bed will have to set up high above the ledges in the back that way you have more space to stretch out.❤❤
Yes!! I was thinking that I need my head/feet to fit in the window in order to stretch out. Buuuuuttt...I also want to be able to sit straight up too
That's so awesome to put that in! It's that an odyssey or sienna?
It is a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country.
