Gel eyeliner was Bobbi Brown's hero product in her original line. I find it interesting that making a new one doesn't affect her non compete. I hope this means we will see more products that are similar to those of Bobbi Brown before she sold to Estee Lauder. That would be incredible. Thanks for the video.💚
She waited to start Jones Road until her non-compete was over I believe. IIRC she said she is bringing back her favorites from her original line but with clean formulas.
@@LexiJong I hope that's true. I'd love to see her bring back her original semi matte lipstick formula. No feathering, looked and felt like a satin, but had some grip to hold her glosses in place.
I still haven't tried anything from J.R yet but I am intrigued by the brand . Everything looks beautiful on you . I would think her eyeliners would be amazing sense she was like the first to do an amazing gel potted eyeliner back in the day.

As far as the lippie is concerned, it could be stearic acid crystals from one of the emollient butters, especially if the grittiness disappears soon after application. If a butter like shea or mango isn't tempered properly during manufacture, stearic acid crystals can precipitate out. So, a manufacturing problem. Surprising for a brand of this size.

When I saw her comercial for this kit I was intrigued and thought it was a good time to try her line, but once I clicked the link my opinion changed completely. I thought this video would change my opinion but it didn’t. I like the concept but not her products. I know this is going to be a very unpopular opinion but all the models look like they have dirty skin and no makeup, you can’t see the makeup, except for the eye makeup. All the swatches look patchy too. The new eyeliner looks straight from the 90s, there’s nothing interesting about the color, and it smudges too? If anything the color is too dark for someone making “no makeup makeup” products. You can’t see the blush on the skin, the lip color same thing. Sorry, this sounds so negative lol but I keep hearing her say in her ad something like this is not your mother’s makeup 😂 a lot of new formulations have come out since “our mothers makeup”, but even more so since she left BB, what is she talking about? Anyways, maybe one day I’ll try her eyebrow products, I think those are the ones that get good reviews here on YT. End of rant. And thank you.
I think the eyeliner sits on pretty good. If you don't touch your eyes. No one should be touching their eyes anyway bc of virus bacteria transfer . Like colds and flus. I think it stayed on pretty good. Imo
I agree - it's not an issue for me but I can see how for some people it will be problematic. I know when my kids were younger, it was so hard to keep them from touching my face!
Very pretty look. Unfortunately I don’t have strong enough words to use to express my dislike for Miracle Balm. The stickiness and the smell!🤢. I also can’t deal the smell of Egyptian Balm. I’m excited to try the eyeliner get. I used to swear by the original eye gel.

I tried it when it came out but there wasn't a good color for me. They have since expanded their shade range so I need to try it again.

Yes! I love their lip liners personally. They are not too creamy and stay put well. Mauve and Rose Nude are the two I use regularly.

I completely understand. I am disappointed that the eyeliner smudges as well but I think she has some gems in her brand.
