Thank you so much for this great explanation - it took me several hours and numerous attempts but the printer finally took the downgrade. My personal view is this behaviour by HP is anti competitive and should be made illegal.
CyberCPU Tech - I just reviewed your video. I received a free Laserjet Pro M281fdw because the prior owner didn't want to purchase HP ink. So, they gave the printer away and purchased a new printer from a new vendor. By using your step-by-step video, I was able to unlock the third-party printer block. THANK YOU so much!
Absolutely brilliant instructions, very clear. Worked perfectly on my MFP M281fdw - although took 3 attempts to get the firmware update to set in. I was about to chuck the printer I was so disgusted with this policy on 3rd party toners. Its a great printer but sad to say this is the last HP I will buy
Agree! brilliant instructions and i too ended up doing it 3 times but on the third time, i noticed i had 3 entries for my Printer. 1. HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 2. HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 (5f6e7b) 3. FAX-HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 i just picked the one that said HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 and boom.. i was flashing away!
I just installed the latest firmware for my HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw without asking much questions and then I was also horrified to find that my toner was no longer recognized. Your solution helped me immediately and I thank you very much for this advice.
This did help you?! sht im going to try to install it now! I have the same printer, i saw it was great on reviews. I didnt know HP acted like this about toner,
Yes, thank you. After two failed times with the firmware downgrade, I set the printer from wifi to cabled and then it was a succes. I'm so grateful for not having to buy a new printer. Thanks again
You, good sir, are a gentleman and a lifesaver. My wife's home office has this printer and we USE genuine HP toner purchased FROM HP via her registered profile. We had been on the October 2020 Firmware since November 2020 with no issues, but yesterday April 21, 2021 in the late afternoon, the 79 Error started and the printer kept restarting, etc. Your video was the most clear and detailed process offered. Of note, if folks are having trouble with the "Sending Firmware", check your PRINT SPOOL on the printer. I had NINE June Firmware just sitting there blocking the throughput. Cleared them out, restarted the computer, THEN the Run as Admin worked and it took the firmware. Shut down all Updates as you suggested and many thanks to you. Note EVEN folks WITH HP Toner had this issue albeit months later.
I can't believe I found your site. I was about ready to pull out my hair when my printer stopped printing. It was divine intervention that I discovered your video since I am pretty computer illiterate. However, your video was specific to my printer and very easy to follow. I had to do the update twice but my printer is now working again. You are a miracle worker. I am so grateful you did this video. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I seldom write a comment, but today I had to write something to say Thank You. I purchased my toner cartridges over a year ago so that I would have them on-hand when I needed them; only to learn that surprise, they wouldn't work. I have the exact same printer as in your video, I did exactly what you said and voila it worked. Usually I don't find the exact same product and have to do some of my own research. I tried contacting the company where the print cartridges came from, but no surprise I didn't hear from them. Thank you for saving me a lot of time and money!!
Thank you for your instructions. I was able to find the firmware and downgrade so I could use the cartridges I bought for a fraction of the HP cartridges. I appreciate the time you took to explain so clearly, and as Mike Bedford commented, the last HP I will buy.
Thanks for the video - just had the firmware update problem hit me today, and I was beyond frustrated. Took a couple reboots (and I noted I had to select the direct Printer link with USB cable, not the WiFi enabled link). I have bought several HP printers in the past, but I agree with you, this crosses the line from legitimate profits to screwing their customer (and violating their own website - where it says third-party cartridges do NOT violate their terms of service). Never buying HP again.
Thank you for sharing this information. It worked great! One thing to note, it seamed to only work when a USB printer cable is connected. I have a network printer which is connected to LAN and could not get it to take the firmware. I also tried wireless, and still no luck. Once, I used the USB printer cable, it worked like a charm!! I don't agree with HP making "their" toners proprietary to HP printers. This is like Toyota saying you have to purchase parts only from Toyota (dealership) for your vehicle! I too will NOT be purchasing any HP products in the future! HP lost all my business. I have been a very loyal customer to HP for over 20+ years.
It's christmas eve and most companies are sending me 'thanks for being a customer' emails. What did I get from hp? - 'Your printer is blocked'. So thanks for helping me sort it all out. Keep up the good work.
This was very Helpful. Couldn't find a working firmware to downgrade except here. It costs less to buy a new printer with Cartridges as opposed to buying replacements, makes no Sense. They don’t even want to discuss it on the phone. Company is too large and needs to be regulated.
You are an absolute star. Fitted a new (non HP) cartridge to my HP laserJet Pro 254dw and got the bad news. Had to search for a bit to get the previous firmware but once I found that your instructions were perfect. It worked first time and EXACTLY as you showed in your clip. I am so impressed and also seriously unhappy with HP. Many thanks from a wet and windy Scotland.
I had to do it like 10 times, removed the old ink by about try number 5 with no luck. Removed the HP app from my computer and direct connected it with USB. It worked a couple tries after that. Thank you! I would do all those steps if you are having trouble as I did. Note, after USB connecting it, Windows took a bit before it would set up. Then you will have a different option in the printer list with the USB connection to the printer rather than the network option. Cheers! Screw you HP!
OMG! I knew what HP had done, I just had no idea how to fix the issue. I followed your instructions and the printer is up and running and printing on 3rd party toner. I can't thank you enough for the help. I must admit that I probably won't buy an HP printer in the future due to this issue alone. Thank you again!
Thank you for the well done and much needed video. My wife and I were able to fix our printer which just happened to be the exact model that you had in the video by watching your instructions. I had tried the same steps before that I found online with the exception of leaving the one setting on allow updates while loading the old firmware with no success. After following your instructions, everything worked just as you said. Great job!
People like you are awesome as they allow us all to stay in control and not let large multi-national companies push us around. Thank you so much for helping me, my printer works again and I don't need to throw it onto landfill. Keeps the world greener.
Thanks for your video. My printer was plugged in by cable. I tried three times and it did not send. I unplugged and connected through WIFI and it worked just fine. Thanks again!
I can not begin to thank you enough! My papa is 82 years old loves to print calendars with his classic cars. We had the most difficult time getting these to work! I appreciate you from bottom of my heart! ❤️ your information is consistent and just loved the concise information!!!! HP is going out my door! This is bogus what they are doing!!! They will get a big thumbs down from me! Thanks again! Blessings to you and yours! Happy holidays
Your video was a Godsend. I haven't run into the problem yet (thankfully I didn't have to downgrade the firmware), but I just finished changing the settings on my Laser Jet Pro 400 color MFP M475dw. The touchscreen menu path you showed in your video was so close to what I see on my laser that it was dead simple to make the required settings change. Thank you so much for posting this video!
Actually, it gives me an error with HP brand cartridges. It says I have non HP chipped cartridges (and the stock out-of-the-box cartridges are in there!). HP is garbage for doing this, and I will never purchase their products again. You sir, are a rockstar. Thank you for this fix. I tried it several times and had to hardwire the printer to my computer to make it work. It finally stuck after two days of running your firmware.
Thanks for the video. My friends have an HP Printer and had this problem with Genuine HP ink cartridges that had an "expiration" date. They went to replace the black ink with an identical HP ink cart, and were told by the printer that the cart was only compatible with older HP printers. The two carts were identical. It was a two pack. Disgusting that HP would block someone from using genuine HP ink because of an arbitrary expiration date. Grrr! Hopefully I can find the right firmware to downgrade them back to compatibility with their new old cartridge.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It took me about 6 times, but the trick was making sure to run as administrator. This is damn near criminal! Luckily, I'm just tech savvy enough to fix this for the wife!
Thanks for video. I had same issues on MFP m283fdw . Firmware was updated automatically. It took 30mins to find old firmware. I just paid for ink ($200 from amazon )and my wife changed new cartridge, things happened. We all most got mad but ur video help us. Thank again.
Hi, I have the same issue with my MFP m283fdw. Which firmware did you use to downgrade and where did you find it ? I've been searching for days in vain. Please help. Thanks
Like everyone else, thank you so much for posting this! Followed your very clear step by step instructions, including downloading the old firmware, and it worked!! I tried wireless a couple times it didn't work so I connected the printer with a network cable and worked first time. And yes, even after splitting up, the printer company is in deep s..., too bad, as the printers have been workhorses for 30 years.
I have a M281fdw printer. After gone through the firmware installation process the "supply problem" message is still showing and the printer is still not working. I tried to install it the 2nd time and it's still the same. what can I do now? Please help.
Excellent! Thank you SO MUCH Cyber CPU Tech for helping keep HP honest. Your video is PERFECT and gets right to the fix and solved all my printing and expensive toner problems tonight. I was having the EXACT same problems you described, followed your steps, and now the printer works, and the 3rd party toner works, too, and all those pesky 'Supply Problem' firmware error screens went away. I am tired of corporations thinking it's cute to highway rob consumers in the name of greedy capitalism.
OMG you are AWESOME!!!! I have tried everything I saw online to resolve this issue with no luck. I did need to run the update twice, but worked as a charm! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much! Just needed to switch out the cartridges and this happened. I’m not paying HP’s ridiculous prices for the cartridges for this printer.
Hi and thanks for a great video! Luckily it worked out on the first try for me, but noticed that the new driver was a little more critical to the amount of remaining available toner on the cartridge than before. It printed in black and white until I changed the toner cartridge, which of course is forever much better than the alternative. I must add that I had to investigate the legality of this and some arguing with the dealer before I came to this video. Legally, they are on safe ground since it is written on the printer's box that: Only intended to be used with cartridges using an HP original chip. Cartridges using a non-HP chip may not work, and those that work today may not work in the future. But since I had bought the printer online, where this was not mentioned anywhere, I was very disappointed when the dealer did not want to look at it, but only sell me original cartridges.
Thank you thank you! I accidentally did the update and spent a few hours trying to fix this yesturday. Did exactly as u showed and it works like before.
HP just made my 8600 printer stop working. I DID buy new HP ink for $130. Printer uses 950/951 cartridges, but they now sell a new version of the 950/951 cartridges that my printer read as being counterfeit ink and caused my printer to stop working. A call to HP support resulted in the guy laughing at my 10 year old printer that will not work anymore with the new 950 cartridges. HP told me to buy a new printer. The printer was working fine until I replaced an empty 950 with a new HP 950. So now HP printers don't even accept their own ink if your printer is a little older. I don't consider 10 years that old since I only print about 20 pages a year.
thanks so much. this is very frustrating and i agree, HP is only shooting themselves in the foot. i've an HP9010 so i'm going to see about a firmware downgrade and hope i can thwart HP!! thanks again
Great video! Thank you. I did not know that the printer automatically updated the firmware which blocked the 3rd party cartridges. Thank you for teaching me the rollback firmware technique and now it prints without issue. Other sites kept telling me to update the firmware and that did not solve the issue. Aloha,
After rolling back the firmware, the problem persists. And the hp website has some virus warning. Any other ideas? Possibly a factory reset? Checked my firmware version and it's correct. Or maybe the driver on the pc is corrupting the old firmware? I'm wondering if there's an even older firmware version. I used these cartridges for a really long time, at least 4 years, and I did my first firmware update today. If I could get back to the old firmware I'd want to. I was sometimes getting backwards prints, but only rarely. I've always liked hp, but I'm not rich. The printer is just a paperweight if I can't figure this out. I'm wondering if there's a really good reason? Maybe the third party cartridges had some strange line of sight virus? Just seems so far fetched
Thanks for the info. I got rid of an Epson 3720 for the same reason. Kept getting upgrade messages from HP on my new printer. Decided to do a little research before updating. Glad I did. Are there ANY printer companies out there that don't BREAK there printers with the first update???
These instructions work well. Have downgraded my M254dw using a Different firmware sourced thanks to the Internet. The instructions are the same. It did take a couple of tries though using USB so be patient. When you see the display change to Programming you know it's happening.
HP Laser Jet printers generally print extremely well. They make it nice until it's toner time. So far I've only replaced the black with a HP black toner cartridge. In waiting I have a full generic set of all 4 cartridges. Your video makes it a little worrisome this will work...but, perhaps if not your video will be the answer. That is if I can find the oldest firmware for a M182-nw. The model you have is very similar save for the feeder and the touchscreen. The M182-nw has a display with manual touch buttons. I think the touchscreen is easier to maneuver and is more convenient. That said, right now my problem is that I moved recently. I got a new fiber ISP and it required, at least initially, I use their supplied Calix Spire wireless router. The Calix and HP printer will not connect using the preferred WPS method. I've tried it multiple times even putting the wireless router along side the printer. Nothing. My ISP's troubleshooting service can not do anything on their end even trying for almost an hour before giving up. The only way to get my printer to work with my MacBook Air M1 is to disconnect from the ISP and connecting to the HP direct wifi option. This works, but it's unwieldily as I have to look on the printed out sheet of the HP printer that has a long string of digits as the password for entering before it will join. If you know how to make my HP printer work with the Calix router please let me know. In my previous setup with Uverse I used my own Linksys very recent, and not cheap, wireless router. It didn't survive the move as my daughter remembers chunking it. Ouch. I wouldn't particularly mind that if this Calix junk would work with the HP junk (frustration typing). Lol.
Thank you for the video. I followed your instructions and unfortunately it did not work as easily as shown in your video. My printer is a HP Laserjet Pro MFP M281 cdw. I had an issue with “Printer offline”. I was able to scan but was not able to print. I ran HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows and was that a “Big Mistake”! It corrected my offline issue, loaded the most recent update (01/29/2022 install date), but now it will not recognize my third-party cartridges. I downloaded the firmware you provided, ran it and it did not take. I ran it 2 more time and it did not take. I restarted the printer each time and it would not go into programming. It sat for fifteen minutes after the third update, then it started Programming. Very strange. Anyway, it looks like its working 😊 Again thank you.
Thank you for posting this video. It helped me. I had forgotten that HP had done a similar thing years ago and there was a fix that you did on 3rd party cartridges.
Thank you for your video. I'm still having issues finding the last update and what firmware is etc. I'm not a tech person but stuck doing this for my work printer on my own. My printer has HP ink - it is frustrating it won't accept those even. I have never put 3rd party ink in my printer and now I can't use anything.
Typically I buy the ones with the best reviews. I am typically paperless so I only buy toner cartridges maybe every two or three years. So by the time I replace my toner I have no idea who I bought the last ones from.
If you have the original HP cartridges, you can swap the chips into your 3rd party cartridges...it works. Its fun getting them out and then in, but allows you to continue with 3rd party cartridge purchases.
You are the Man! Works Great, I also backed up the software so it won't happen again! If I don't already have an HP printer I won't buy one ever again! Thanks so much!
Hi. Thanks. Have the exact same printer. I followed the tutorial and managed to downgrade the firmware. Yay! My cyan and magenta are being recognised but they dont show up on the supply page. The black and yellow work fine. Used aftermarket toners before without any issues until i replaced the cyan and magenta recently. Any idea what i can do to get magenta and cyan working again(new aftermarket toners in at the moment)
I was able to print a supply page from an old computer. With older software. Shows my toners are 70%. Sadly still showing supply isdue on printer. Can not get it to roll back on the actual printer. My are HP toners
I sell 3rd party toner cartridges and constantly have these chip problems. When the printer was bought it had no problem with 3rd party cartridges, so wouldn't it be smart to simply HARD RESET the printer to the factory setting?? I wonder what would happen. I assume the printer won't work with WIFI and that has to be re-installed., What is your take on this??
Thanks! Your video was a lifesaver... I had to print a form for my COVID vaccination and the printer was down. No more HP for me and a subscription to your channel! Greetings from The Netherlands 👍🏼
I definitely agree. I love my HP, but it has been about 12 years (Laserjet 1020) and we replaced the starter toner cartridge a couple of years ago. It is now acting up and I wanted to get a new HP, but oh boy. Some of the "selling points" and reviews make me wonder if there are any good ones out there anymore.
Thanks for the video my printer is on a network I had to direct connect to a laptop so it would take so glad to find this my house is full of university students with papers and labs due with out this printer our printing bill would be huge!
I had to hard wire the printer to my PC (Cat 5 Cable) to get it to take the downgrade. Wouldn't do it over the wireless, but it is printing fine again! Thanks!

Is there a class action suit yet for HP intentionally breaking the printers. Mine is barely used after 5 years and only used to print about 1000 pages total in it's lifetime and now is just a massive waste of space. It's criminal what they are doing.
Hi!! I need help with this. When I click the "send firmware" option, the blue bar starts moving and finishes the process, but the printer doesn't do anything. It doesn't install the downgrade. I tried everything, uninstalling the printer and its program, connecting it by usb... nothing works. I turned it on and off like 20 times and tried SO MANY TIMES. I'm afraid I'll never be able to use it again. I live in Argentina and the original toners are UNAFFORDABLE, each one is even more expensive than a new laserjet printer. What can I do???? It seems like nothing works:(
I.ve got a 7740, with same problem,, Question I could buy new HP cartridges and it should work again? Could I go back back to new 3rd party cartridges, when those suppliers upgrade the cartridge software?
To help prevent HP printers from bricking themselves, disable the auto update function from the day you get it, never update the software, and consider not connecting to your router. They will say the patch is "to correct a security problem" or whatever, but the only "security problem" is using a cartridge other than HP, or refilling a cartridge yourself. In the event your HP printer bricks itself (blue screen with strange numbers, freezes up) unplug it, remove all the carts, wait 10 min. then plug back in, turn on, and if you can open the utilities, do a soft reboot to original operating software. If it doesn't work the first time, repeat. Maybe on try 6 it will see that you're serious. Then de-select the auto update function. It's all a ploy by HP to force you to buy new HP cart$.
You are AWESOME! - My laptop wouldn't send the firmware until the printer was in the ready state - fortunately I had some original cartridges lying about so I put them in then the firmware was accepted. Working now - woo hooo! Thanks!
Great video...... please stop recommending HP printers...... Their practices are criminal. The price of printing is extortionate and locking people out of their printers is disgusting. I just ripped my printer apart after hours of trying to make it work and realising that they have done this. I've thrown the printer in the trash and will never buy another HP product again. I'm disappointed I watched this after I threw it away but to be honest I really hate companies that do this sort of stuff and I very rarely need a printer. I might buy another one one day because occasionally I could do with having it.
Great video, thank you! I have brand new genuine HP cartridges that are giving me the chip error after the firmware update. I want to downgrade, but the link in the show notes for the firmware directs you to a page with a 404 error message. The page is no longer available. Can you post a new URL for where you have the old firmware for the 321CDW?
What HP did should be illegal. I have been using HP printers for more than 20 years and have never had a problem using generic inks. On installing generic inks, HP warned that print quality maybe compromised by using generic inks but after I accept generic inks, the printer works beautifully. Since my last update, my amazing HP 7740 was blocked from using generic inks. What a nightmare as HP inks are 5 times more expensive than generic ink with no visible improvement in quality. Someone should start a 'CLASS ACTION' legal case against HP as nowhere in the purchase agreement and operating documents does it say that HP printers will only work with genuine inks. Big business's, like HP should not be allowed to mislead their clients like this and get away with it.
Thank you Rich! This video has been a great help to me. Appreciate your attention to the small details. Good editing too. You got my attention, so I subscribed.
Hi CyberCPU Tech, You're so right about HP! I cancelled my ink subscription and my printer is being held hostage unless I resubscribe. My HP Office Jet 8710 printer shows supply system problem and I flushed and cleaned the print head. I removed the protected cartridge option, installed non-HP cartridges, disabled update firmware and trade supplies, downgraded firmware and still shows supply system error!. HELP .....Any suggestions. Thanks.
Is there anything new you need to do since this was first posted. I have tried the firmware updates about 10 times and the closest I got is halfway than the printer starts up and goes back to the cartridge block notice. Should I take out the non HP cartridges when I do the firmware update? (i tried that a couple of time with the same result, but i thought I would still ask) Thanks for you help,
Thank you so much for this great explanation - it took me several hours and numerous attempts but the printer finally took the downgrade.
My personal view is this behaviour by HP is anti competitive and should be made illegal.

Great job!
Glad it helped.
People like you are awesome as they allow us all to stay in control and not let large multi-national companies push us around.
Thank you so much for helping me, my printer works again and I don't need to throw it onto landfill.
Keeps the world greener.
great, goog gonest businessman.
Thanks for your video. My printer was plugged in by cable. I tried three times and it did not send. I unplugged and connected through WIFI and it worked just fine. Thanks again!
your statement to hp is honorable...full of wisdom
What an awesome service you provided. It worked beautifully. What HP destroyed, you made new again. . . that's worth a hefty tip if you ask me.
Glad it helped.
Thank you for saving me from throwing my HP out of the window. Works again!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It took me about 6 times, but the trick was making sure to run as administrator. This is damn near criminal! Luckily, I'm just tech savvy enough to fix this for the wife!
Glad it helped.
Thanks
Man, eu your tutorial save my Life. I was almost put the print in garbage. Tank you so much. Congratulations. I'm from Brasil.
Legally, they are on safe ground since it is written on the printer's box that:
Only intended to be used with cartridges using an HP original chip.
Thank you so much. I downloaded the link from the notes and it worked first try. Never buying anything hp again.
This worked for me after using a hard connection from computer to printer. This saved us on 3 work printers. Thank you so much!
Thank you sir. I was going to buy a HP but your video changed my mind I think I go with brother instead
Glad it helped.
Thank you so much for this. Took me 4 hours to find the solution and once I found your video it's back to working perfectly. Again a big thank you!!
Thanks for the info. I got rid of an Epson 3720 for the same reason. Kept getting upgrade messages from HP on my new printer. Decided to do a little research before updating. Glad I did. Are there ANY printer companies out there that don't BREAK there printers with the first update???
I've had good luck with brother printers. They have excellent driver support and seem to be pretty reliable.
just now having this problem ... show notes not found ... where do I find this firmware download?
Lol.
Am from Ghana, West Africa and your instructions worked perfectly for me. Thanks bro.
Which thrd party cartridges would you recommend. Have had a few bad experiences. I have a m277dw laser jet
Anyway, it looks like its working 😊
Again thank you.
Thank you for posting this video. It helped me. I had forgotten that HP had done a similar thing years ago and there was a fix that you did on 3rd party cartridges.
I have admin rights but the option to run as administrator is not showing. How do I run the RFU file? Thanks in advance
I have an HP LaserJet Pro 281fdw printer. I replaced the toner cartridges, but the print is still dull. Help us with the solution.
Thank you your video. Can you answer to what Amazon compatible printer cartridges that you recommend fir HP printers.
Yes, that would probably work but the cartridges from HP have expiration dates on them so eventually the chips will be no good.
I am not aware of the expiry. Thanks for the heads up. I'll use the chips as long as I can though! Yeah, I'm a cheap ass...what of it? ;p
@Koen how did you remove the chips to swap them without damaging them?
You are the Man! Works Great, I also backed up the software so it won't happen again! If I don't already have an HP printer I won't buy one ever again! Thanks so much!
Your welcome. Glad it helped.
Hi.
You totally Rock. Thank you. Monopolizing their own s*it smfh
Please i want to confirm will this firmware downgrade file work on M281fdw ??
Aug 2022- THIS STILL WORKS! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much!!! For 3 months I thought my printer was dead!
I was able to print a supply page from an old computer. With older software. Shows my toners are 70%. Sadly still showing supply isdue on printer.
Can not get it to roll back on the actual printer.
My are HP toners
Hi, thank you for the video. I can't see the framework. Can you send the link?
I sell 3rd party toner cartridges and constantly have these chip problems. When the printer was bought it had no problem with 3rd party cartridges, so wouldn't it be smart to simply HARD RESET the printer to the factory setting??
I wonder what would happen. I assume the printer won't work with WIFI and that has to be re-installed., What is your take on this??
Thanks! Your video was a lifesaver... I had to print a form for my COVID vaccination and the printer was down. No more HP for me and a subscription to your channel! Greetings from The Netherlands 👍🏼
Glad it worked out.
Phew. I actually had to restore factory settings before it would accept it. Thank you so much for this
Glad it helped.
Glad it helped out.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide the steps to do this. Your instructions worked perfectly the first time.
Your welcome.
I had to hard wire the printer to my PC (Cat 5 Cable) to get it to take the downgrade. Wouldn't do it over the wireless, but it is printing fine again! Thanks!
Glad it worked.
What would be the process for the hp 9025e?
Thank you but I still have the problem tried everything you said more than one time and still not working
Any other solution?
Thanks so much. Where to download a file from?

Agree! brilliant instructions and i too ended up doing it 3 times but on the third time, i noticed i had 3 entries for my Printer.
1. HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281
2. HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 (5f6e7b)
3. FAX-HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281
i just picked the one that said HP ColorLaserJet MFP M278-M281 and boom.. i was flashing away!
I know you stated the software you have will work only for the HP MFP M281cdw. Will it work for the M281fdw??
What printers would you recommend?
i couldnt find your website to download the Firmware for the CDW.. where could i find this information
Thank you very much, still having error after sending the firmware to printer - PRINTER NEED YOUR ATTENTION.
Any help on this?
It seems like nothing works:(
merhaba, yukarıda yazdığım çözümü dene istersen
gosh man you the best after over 5 hours i came across your video and in less than 5 minutes i was good to go ,,, HP really gets on my nerves
I.ve got a 7740, with same problem,, Question I could buy new HP cartridges and it should work again? Could I go back back to new 3rd party cartridges, when those suppliers upgrade the cartridge software?
Brilliant - thank you. I managed it on my M254dw with the appropriate firmware. I won't be using HP again when I next buy anything!
I don't blame you. I have stopped recommending them because of this.
Hi
Do you have the firmware for m254dw please as I’m facing the problem
@@SusieWest5 Sorry, no. I'm no techie, but just followed this video. It took a few goes, but worked.
I have the firmware version 20201215 for HP M282-M285. How do I make available for others?
Where can i download this firmware from. Cant find it. Or where is the show notes located.
Unfortunately I repurposed my website and don't have anywhere to host it anymore.
Glad it helped.
How do you find the show notes?
(i tried that a couple of time with the same result, but i thought I would still ask) Thanks for you help,
Hello i have the same problem with hp laserjet color 252n
Do u have by any chance the downgrade firmware file?
I cant find it
