+MrFuzzmen Hi. Interesting; I always assume this is the 17 June 78 gig in Austria as it was filmed by ORF (Austrian tv). But checking the official VDGG web site it seems a gig in Geneva 30 Nov 77 was filmed for Swiss tv, which might also have been done by ORF. So yes it could be the earlier show I guess. Either way both were first shown in 1978, and all I have is this original broadcast. Maybe the whole concerts are sitting there on a shelf somewhere in Austria right now?!
Totally Vital this. Though this outdoor show looks very cold, you can see their breath in the air! "all that I felt as my blood froze..." 🌬🎭♟
Thanks so much for posting and for letting me know, you made my day. Such rare film footage of this awesome incarnation of VDG playing live.
You're welcome. By coincidence, I noticed there's a nice feature on that line up in the current Prog Magazine.
♥
What are the songs they're playing?
Why isn't Peter singing on Sleepwalkers?
Alessandro del Taglia Because he was sitting at the bed doing the interview...
It had a soundcheck vibe to me. Energy levels were a little more casual too.
Hi , this material is very good but it is from 1977!! Do you have the complete gig?? tANXS!

@@hellochicago2 It's definitely the 1978 gig in Austria. Peter says "it's '78" during the interview.
