Looks like a solid 1250. According to the serial number, it was built in June of 1978. Most of the old Cub hydro's had no neutral bypass. The ones that did had a lever on the tunnel cover between your legs, which appears to be missing.
I have hundreds of hours on that tractor. I mowed a lawn when I was a kid and they let me use their tractor. It was that same model. You’re gonna really like it. Where do you find the parts for those old tractors?
If it's like a J D,those two valves in front of the seat on the hydro have to be depressed to free roll,as best as I could see they looked like what's on a 318 etc.
