- One day, on a pleasant June morning here in Michigan, I went behind the house to record these two happy polkas, "The Knocknagoshel" and "The Ballydehob," which are the names of villages in Ireland. I am glad to hear some bird sounds in it too, and only a faint sense of some traffic on the nearby road. Behind me to the left, you might catch a squirrel on the tree. Thanks to the Online Academy of Irish Music for the piano backing part.
I love how the birds join you at the end of the song.😍
Wow, thank you for watching it so closely. I love when the birds, and even squirrels, join in.
Wonderful mastery! Beautiful!
Thank you so much, Monika!
Great playing Paul !!
Thank you so much!
Great performance, Paul! And what a beautiful natural setting for playing tunes, I bet the birds and squirrels appreciated the concert! 😄🍀
Thank you so much, Wendy. I was looking for your rendition of this one, since I saw what you had done on OAIM. I will check again for it. Are you also getting the recent wildfire smoke? I do not think I could record outside this week!
@@dsrtsng Thanks, Paul, I am behind schedule and haven't had a chance to post my individual video yet but I plan to later today!
Air quality here has been in the "Very Unhealthy" category the past couple days, definitely not conducive to outdoor playing. We must be under the same smoke cloud! Hope things improve for everyone soon! 🌞
@@WendOLynnFiddle Yes, I agree. At least, I will stay in and practice for the next one. Take Care!
Sounds great Paul. You should put on a concert at St Cecilia's.
Thanks, Nate! Funny you would say that, since they asked me to play there last month for a middle school band camp going on there.
Polka names?
Thanks for pointing it out! I just added them to the description.
