Glad mom is better, Nice to recoup and watch koi. Dont put anything inside. Rocks are going to scratch them and plants are going to make it hard to maintain, the sand looks awesome. Just stain or varnish the wood match the rest of the house and set plants around on top to hang down or grow up make it simple it's awesome that way.
I though it would be cool to have a Japan themed tank for them since that’s where they got you from and where koi are originally from. And Japan is such a beautiful country that it would look really cool in an indoor pond

I think for the wood finish black would look nice, and for the interior aquascape you could get some flat stones from a rock quarry and stack them any way you want
I would definitely agree to place a variety of plants along the back and sides. You might consider using slate on the flat surfaces of this pond build. That will make it more natural and also allow people to set a drink on this surface without making the grain in the wood. Lots of possibilities for inside the tank - but I see Tanner Serpa has submitted himself... and he is honestly THE BEST in the business for this. Great work!!!
moms are so wholesome my mom thought that fish weren't that interesting until she got her 3 koi for our pond from that moment she would do anything for the fish and I have to tell her to take a break from cleaning the pond and my tanks when I m out for school 😂😂
@Ray. _. runner get her a fish like a betta or something that she is like thats kinda cool watch your mom become a fish lady and don't expect your mom to do the fish maintenance we took that responsibility when we got our fish
I feel like it would be cool of you added a bunch of overgrown things all over the indoor pond, or maybe do like an Atlantis type of thing where there’s little towns and structures under the water and the koi are just swimming around it.
Please dear lord collab with Tanner! I would cry tears of joy. Also I think an underwater bonsai garden would look really cool and provide the koi with a lot of hiding spots

You should put a mosaic tile art on the wood pillar’s of the pond. I think that would look incredible. You could theme it like a out door river with frogs water lily turtle cattail grass

You should add water lettuce and some rocks to make it look natural. You should put light at the backside and bottom of it to make it stands out more. And to wrap it up you should put water spitter 👍🏻
George, you have done so much for me in the last month. I don’t think I would’ve fallen in love with fish as fast or as hard as I did without your UA-cam channel and overall enthusiasm for aquatic life. I am absolutely hooked (no pun intended). I am about to haul home my first big upgrade, I am going from a 6 gallon nano with 2 zebra danios, a baby pleco and 1 fancy red shrimp to a 75 gallon, fully planted (hopefully) aquarium that I hope to keep Discus in very soon. But before that, I was going to see if you had any advice to offer. This tank has been sitting outside, unattended to for years, anything special I should do to make sure it’s 100% clean and safe? What are the best brands for equipment such as pumps, filters, agitators, co2 etc? I only have 1 local fish store in my area so traveling to acquire all of this stuff is required and expected. I’m just so ready and excited to get deeper into this hobby. Thank you so much!

I just graduated college and so I'm going to spend the next 5 years or so moving to new cities whenever I feel like it, but once I'm ready to settle down I will for sure have Ed build me a pond!
Looks good. Do some black sideways off sized tiles. It would definitely look great with some good tile or rock work. if you do rock, real rocks would have the most natural and gorgeous touch.
