Hey Patrick, this is fantastic. I'm not much of a denim jacket guy, but would sport this all day. Thanks for yet another introduction. Always appreciate you procuring new things instead of going the road well traveled. Good stuff, thanks for the close up shots too.
Appreciate that sentiment, good sir! I've tried to be a denim jacket guy... I've bought 3 and had 1 given to me, and I just can't quite get there. Maybe because I haven't found the perfect fit... I dunno... but yea, I'm glad I'm not alone!
Appreciate your content man. I've been a watch guy for many years but recently got into the boots and clothing stuff and have been learning a lot from your videos. Thank you!
Hey! Really appreciate you letting me know. I also started around 5 years ago into the watch hobby and this new style/boots/jackets hobby came about 3 years ago. Thanks for the kind words and happy to have you along for the ride!
Looks great! Enjoy! I have a sashiko long haul with a wool lining I basically wear all winter. The sleeve lining was thin and wore through after a couple years of hard wear in the winter. Thanks to the TS guarantee though, I’m having my tailor replace the lining and gonna get reimbursed. Hope the lining is better on this coat. I have a TS Ojai coat that I’ve had no issues with the lining. Totally agree RE being able to wear it more easily with jeans without looking Canadian tuxedo haha
Hey! I recall you mentioning the sashiko long haul you have... sounds so cool. And very interesting about the TS guarantee. I've read about it on the site, of course, but haven't had anything long enough to wear it out. I might pick your brain on the process sometime in the future to chat about it in a video. I know they are re-vamping some of those systems (specifically the buy back, I think) and said they'd let me know when they are ready to release some info. :)
@@rockymtnstyle nice! Sure I’d be happy to share my experience, overall really love the brand and have several pieces both new and a couple second hand. This is actually the second time getting this jacket repaired thus why I just opted for the sleeves to be fully replaced. When it was a repair I think it cost like $40-50 a year and a half ago. This time I think my tailor said $100 some they said it was fine so we’ll see if they honor it with the higher price. It wasn’t cash back but rather store credit which is fine by me. I already have queued up in my cart what I plan to get when I get my credit. 😅
I’ve always liked the cut on the long haul & the angled chest pockets. Looks good on you. That fabric is interesting. I’ve got an old medium wash Type III denim jacket with perfect fades from Banana Republic that’s got some stretch to it that I honestly don’t wear often enough.
Thanks, Jerry! Yeah I agree. The cut and overall styling is pretty sweet. You and the BR stuff! If you are ever bored send me a few pics to RockyMtnStyle@gmail. I used to shop at BR all the time when I had a stricter office dress code.
Looks good! Will seriously consider. I’m not sure of the sizing though. The website and your video confirms that the sleeve length is long compared to the typical chest. Seems a little slim for the length, is another way of putting it. Will go for the xl but I may regret it.
Hello! Thank you for the comment. What is your height and weight And chest measurement? I might be able to give some advice. True they are a little long, but not so much that it bugs me. Thx!
Hmmm... yeah, I think a large would be fine for chest and sleeves... I worry that the hem might be a little too short at Large, though. If you don't mind that, I'd try a large, otherwise, XL.
I must have like half the items you’ve reviewed on your channel, we have similar style. Bought this jacket maybe 4-5 months ago now and it is showing some light fades, really dig this one. I like that it’s not a denim jacket and the way TS made this a bit of a fuller cut, at least when it comes to trucker style jackets. I don’t like how stiff and slim denim jackets can be, I’ve always found the fits tricky, but this one works well for me. From afar, it almost has a corduroy look to it, I’ve had a lot of people ask if that’s what it is. And totally agree, it looks great with some color underneath, especially orange/yellow, really pops. Of all the items in my closet, I’d say I get compliments and people asking about this jacket above anything else (except my Ojai jacket in olive tweed herringbone).
Totally agree. I was actually quite surprised how striking the hardware was as soon as I saw it in person. They had a waxed long haul that was supposed to come out this year but some issues in production caused a delay, but I think they are going to try and release next year. I'll be all over that one! :)
Love the color. My problem used to be is I was so drawn to blue. It used to be that almost every shirt I had was some shade of blue. I didn't even realize it. But, I digress. This is a cool looking jacket.
This is one of the coolest pieces I’ve seen that isn’t “standard” but still checks all the boxes I’m in to
Nice, man! Yeah - every once in a while I run across a piece like this that is basically just like you describe. Cheers, mate!
I have this jacket, I love its looks. Waffle fabric is going to fade so nicely.
Totally agree! Thx for sharing!
This is the best showcase of this jacket there is.
Great video
Ahh thanks so much for that! You are too kind!
That looks great, Patrick with a cool texture. Keep us posted on how it fades/wears.
You got it, brother. Will do.
Very nice! Had my eye on one a while back when they were doing washed black denim.
Yeah it's killer, Lee! Definitely snag one when a fabric comes up that speaks to you.

Sure thing, Ely. Thanks for the comment!

@@rockymtnstyle lol…it wasn’t intentional. I just buy what I like & those 2 jackets just happened to be from BR. Did you ever get those Chisos boots?
GREAT question. :) They shipped today. Will do doing an unboxing/initial impressions early next week hopefully.

@@rockymtnstyle thank you! It’s a very nice piece
Ha! Awesome, man! Good taste for sure! I love the way you described it. Spot on and I hope I can get enough wear on it to get some light fading too!
always liked this one, looks good on you. nice fit too.
Thanks, Michael! Appreciate the complement!
A small feature I’ve always liked about the long hauls is the hardware. Has a cool look to it.

Buttons look nice but feel cheap. Great looking jacket though

A man after my own heart! I too was afflicted by a blue addiction. Thankfully that's transformed to tan/camel and various shades of green! :)
Looks good man. I have been considering one of these myself. I do like the way it looked with those Brave Star jeans.
Thanks, bro! But sounds like you got your hands full in this jacket segment for the forseeable future! ;)
@@rockymtnstyle this is true! I’ve got more than I can handle for the rest of this year at least!
Love that waffle fabric
It's much cooler on person than even I thought it would be!
This is a cool jacket full stop. That material needs to be used much more frequently.
Agreed! It can't be that pricey or rare to preclude it's use at a higher rate!!
Will it fade?
It should. Came with a tag saying the indigo might transfer to lighter colored objects, sort of like I've seen on raw denim jeans I've bought.
