Am I the only one who absolutely adored this movie? Like, I really don't know what any of you are talking about. The characters were charming as hell and it was such a good coming of age story, I legitimately fell in love with this movie. Now, I have not seen the rest of this directors work, but that doesn't matter in the slightest to me, the product I got was so oozing with charm and heart that it easily is a 10/10 for me. Does it have some tropes? Yes, but those tropes are so well done that I can't nitpick. Also, what's your guys deal with the ending? It was a metaphor for dealing with one self through the reflection of a different character, and we saw ho Ren/Kyuuta was so full of conflict within himself the entire film, that it made perfect sense to me that the essence of this father figure, and the support of those that love him (which he found on his own) would give him the power to overcome. I am not trying to hate, but I do not understand where any of your guy's points come to play.
It felt so very personal and emotional. The use of humanoid beasts also makes it very primal and expressive for animation plus its just classic use of animals for symbolism of the human personality of a character. I hear Boars are seen as symbols of royalty, they move in herds and protect each other. While Bears and monkeys, are usually seen as more reckless, solitary and wild mannered creatures. The fatherly relationship with Kumatetsu and Kyuuta are also very real feeling. My dad was more like Kyuata's real dad in mannerisms but I also had a friend like Kumatetsu, he was a groundskeeper at my grandparents. So that was kinda nostalgic to be reminded of them. So yeah I loved this movie a lot.
Finally someone says what I think. I personally think this is Hosoda's best movie. I had first seen "the girl who leapt through time" and it was good (the ending though...meh). But after that I watched this and it was soo amazing. Lately I've seen "the wolf children" and I don't get the hype over it. I still prefer "the boy and the beast", one of the best anime movies I've ever seen. Definitely a 9/10 movie for me.
Completely agree that it is a great movie, the characters were really charming to me, it was a good coming of age story, and although some conflict may have been a bit cliche it wasn’t necessarily bad cliche. The conflicts made sense to me, especially since it was a coming of age story, and I don’t think I would’ve had the movie any other way.
You know the thing is.... I really hate that comparison. Is Hosoda an amazing director? Yes, undoubtedly, and in my opinion he has much potential to leave a legacy after him that would stand proudly next to Miyazaki's. BUT that does not make him "the next Miyazaki". They are, in my opinion, too different to compare in such a way, as too people in the artistic industry should be. I realize the comparison is more of a blessing, shall we say, a compliment some people choose to give Hosoda, but it's not a good one. It insinuates that they will have the SAME legacy, be remembered in the SAME way, and that I think is wrong. We should view them as completely separate film makers, each one great at what he does.
I understand what you mean, and I agree, but on the other hand (obviously this is an exaggerated example) It would be kind of like saying Picasso was the "Next Van- Gogh", both artists that everybody knows the name of and are remembered for their great works, but absolutely different in every other way.
I think its because he will leave a legacy as big as miyazaki rather than a legacy like miyazaki. Either way when you compare them they do share some traits. Now if someone would've said that Satoshi Kon was the next Miyazaki that would've been crazy.(if you ignore the fact that they were sort of contemporaries)
I didn't really like it either. The film is beautiful like usual, the film didn't do anything. It had a great setup with story and then we do nothing for an hour and then see a shoe horned 'love" quest for characters who have barely interacted.
+Kevin Zhang let the people watch the damn video. I'm sure arkada makes the effort to write what he thinks about the film, for you to be a smartass and make a TLDW type of comment...
I don't think the last arc was unexpectable: the antagonist is presented like a kid different from the others with some kind of wisdom others don't have. It is later revealed that the result of the fight for the ruler's place matters to him more than it does to everybody else, including the other son. That makes him a rival: not one who has a lot of screen time at first, but one who's design, relationships and attitude are unique and mysterious enough to expect more from him at some point. I like the fact that it wasn't made obvious because that's how most characters saw that event. That character lacked the attention it deserver from both his relatives and the spectators, helping us feeling some ampathy for his familly, like if were were part responsible for not seeing such anger build-up in him since his childhood when he first apears. I wrote that at 5:30am so it may be full of shit. Thanks for reading.
The part where he was a kid was AMAZING, I loved the pacing and the slow change between these two. After that, everything started to feel... weird? The girl felt forced. The fight with Izoda was also good. The parts in the human world were.
I really liked The Boy and The beast a lot and the father and son dynamic was nice. I was honestly expecting Kyuuta to never go back to the human world because he just didn't have a place to go home. The girl and finding his real dad again was very out of place. Even if Kumatetsu and Kyuuta fought a lot I feel like their bond together was a lot stronger than any human after Kyuuta's mom. It would've been cooler if Kyuuta's challenge was internally and finding himself instead of an antagonist physically showing up (I think he matured too fast over the 8 years so he didn't get a chance to tackle internal challenges because he overcame them so fast earlier on). With that said, I think the only other thing I disagree with in this video is that it's the high expectations that ruined the show for him.
Hosada doesn't know how to end a film. The Girl who Lept Through Time's made no sense at all, and practically ruined the movie for me, Summer Wars was the only okay one, Wolf Children ended kind of suddenly and there wasn't enough focus on why the son would make that choice, and this one the final villain came out of nowhere and the sword in your heart thing is pretty creepy if you ask me. Everything up to the ending is better than any Miyasaki movie I've watched for all of his films, but then they end up on par in my opinion.
For wolf children, I think the fact the son was bullied pushed him away from humanity and showed things weren't that great. As with the girl, her desire to be accepted by others drew her closer to humans and away from her animal side.
i don't think so, The girl who leapt through time have a pretty good ending (why not a kiss tho), and wolf children end rather nice. The boy and the beast is the let down from the rest however, it try so hard with the villain and took away the enjoyment
The Wolf Children ending ruined me for a good 2 weeks. Such an incredible movie, but the ending was so abrupt and felt rushed. The lack of solid closure :c
I really enjoyed this film and ranked it as his second best film after Wolf Children but what was lacking was the father-son relationship. I felt like they didn't really go in depth with their relationship.
I've been following your channel for awhile. I don't even necessarily come here to hear about anime, I realized once. I come here to see you do your thing. There is something calming about watching you break down your likes and dislikes and deliver a (usually) well-balanced overview of a piece of art. I do appreciate that it's about anime regardless^_^. I have also enjoyed watching your methods and style become more and more refined. Well done, and keep up the good work!
Eh, this one let me down. I had a lot of hype for it, but it just didn't live up to it. My main problem with it is that they didn't feel like they had a father-son relationship, and when it was there it felt one-sided. I feel like Kyuuta doesn't consider Kumatetsu as a father as much as Kumatetsu considers him a son. We have two very flawed and, for lack of a better word, ''loud' characters, and while they have emotional moments it kind of just...stays that way. There weren't any quiet heartfelt moments you would expect from a father-son relationship. And that's shocking, because Wolf Children handled parental relationships BEAUTIFULLY, and hell even Summer Wars had good family dynamic.
I found it by accident early on and decided why not. Personaly I loved it and was moved by it. That said there might be a screwed first impression because I.hadnt slept for over 40 hours at the time.
See, I felt like the opposite. Idk, me and my father's relationship is a lot like Kyuuta's and Kumatetsu's so it really resonated with me. I thought the two characters butted heads a lot like a father and son would, especially when the two personalities are so similar.
Wolf Children remains my favorite out of his films thus far, with Girl Who Leapt Through Time right after, then this, then Summer Wars. I prefer when Hosoda does the more quiet stories, I feel he really excels in that. But in this and Summer Wars he tries to go bigger, and while I think he does it well in both movies I just prefer the smaller scale work. As for the movie itself, I thought it was great, definitely worth buying, at least to me. I look forward to his next film.
You hit most of the problems I had with this film. Great production, but the story, and pacing just tried to accomplish too much in its run time, making the film feel disjointed and sporadic.
castle 81 NTX Yup, I that came from out of nowhere and was unnecessary. The whole dad reunion story was also a bit forced, as there was no build up to it and it was introduced so late into the story that it felt rushed. Like seriously there were 5 different story lines occurring at the same time. 1. The fight to be ruler 2. The relation ship between the MC and the girl+ the school. 3. The father reunion 4. All the evil power related to humans and villain. 5. The father son relationship between the Boy and the beast.
I think the least Ghibli-like aspect of this film is that Ren outright killed the antagonist, whereas Miyazaki prefers non-violent and more complex answers for his films. I do wish the ending had involved reconciliation (between Ren and his shadow-self) as well. I agree with the critique overall, but I must say that this movie still moved me and in fact made me cry. I quite relate to Ren's "hole" in his heart and feelings of confusion, stubbornness and abandonment. The relationship between Kumatetsu and Ren was a little confused, but I'm still a sucker for stories that involve harmonizing the bodies and minds of two people and I found that scene riviting none the less. Thank you for the great review. :D
OHMYGOODNESS! You mentioned KatanaGatari!! I'm ecstatic that that show made its way around to you!! I absolutely loved it, and it was very unique, and very well done, if a bit too chatty to follow sometimes. I must now go and see if you have done a review of it :3
I think they are from 'Tales from Earthsea'. It's kind of the black sheep movie from Ghibli. Nobody really likes it but it's not horrible. Just mediocre.
He asked for legal sites, dubhappy and gogoanime are not legal sites, stop trying to spread watching anime illegally, some people don't know better. I'm pretty sure madman will pick it up eventually if they haven't already, and they'll put the funimation dub on it.
I enjoyed it. May have been a little disjointed at times and the ending may have been rushed a bit, but it was a good feel good story with a bittersweet turn in my opinion... And that's kinda what I was looking for when I watched it. It was easy to kinda just relax and enjoy it without being too critical. That being said, I'll be critical now, and say that it was an 8/10 for me. As Arkada said... It's definitely worth at least one watch.
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this film. For me, that "long" feeling for the run time worked to make me feel like I have been following Kyuta and Kumamatsu for a long time... making the ending more impactful for me. I actually anticipated the villain, as I felt they left enough clues to hint it could happen
I'm really surprised he said the villain comes out of nowhere. Sure, there are only little clues, but come on, if you actually pay attention it's obvious. I must admit the exact way it happened surprised me, but it was clear the final antagonist was an important character right from the start
"Something feel off" this is exactly what I feel when I watch it. I think Mamoru Hosoda was trying to express a deeper and darker idea, but he just didn't know how to properly express it.
Not only had I been planning to watch this movie, I had been planning to check out BOTH of the recommendations as well XD Great review, I'm glad you don't just conform to popular opinion about the things you talk about.
To be honest, The Boy and The Beast is one of my favorite anime films. Though it still has things that bothered me like Ichirohiko being an antagonist. What was the purpose of that "darker" version of Ren/Kyuuta shown in the beginning when Ichirohiko was the one that will be the antagonist? Asides from those flaws, everything else in the movie got me loving it.
I think it was the ending that may be giving you that bit of doubt of the overall quality of the movie itself, a similar thing happened to me with the Martin Scorsese film. If you've seen it I can pretty much say everything about that ending that you did about The Boy and the Beast. tl;dr: Leaving a great movie with a bad aftertaste taints the experience as a whole.
I think you were right about the theme of your inner conflict (and or demons) as a theme for the end of the film, but you glossed over a little about the self discovery of the characters throughout the film itself, which in the story has a significant resolution as kumatetsu sacrifices all that he is in realizing how much Ren means to him. I think that was a far greater message in the film, the kind that always appeals to me haha, but more outstanding then the concept of inner struggle which only appears near the end. Though I'm no expert :)
For me it became lackluster halfway through. The relationship between the two main characters was extremely well done in my opinion. I would've loved if the story was more contained on the beast world. I don't mind the human development of the main character alongside humans that much, however the reveal of the "main antagonist" while consumed by darkness, turned the story into a cheesy mess, and the beast world became secondary. I extremely dislike how "main antagonist" was handled, what was a reasonably nuanced yet simple story became an allegory for "light vs darkness", without any hope for depth beyond it. I feel like this movie never needed a "villain", adding one ultimately hurt the story and clouded the message.
I love every hosoda film, partly because that there very few people who actually make full length animated feature films and it is a treat to actually get to watch a full length animated film. Miyazaki is supposedly retired now, there's Hosoda, and then there's Makato Shinkai who made Your Name (which i am still waiting for an official release for, HURRY UP!). I actually didn't really like 5cm per second or the place promised in our early days, and i feel that all the budget of garden of words went into the animation and the plot falls completely flat. that is why I don't criticize Hosoda films because they are actually amazingly well done and some of my favourite films of all time. The Boy and the Beast is probably my least favourite Hosoda film but I still really enjoyed it. yes the ending antagonist physical manifestation was kinda shoe horned in there, the score of the film and the animation is amazing! I generally don't watch a lot of anime, i'm more of a casual anime fan. which is probably why I enjoyed the boy and the beast a lot more then you; because I don't watch nearly as much anime so i don't see it's "flaws", but then again i do watch a lot of live-action movies and can pick out their flaws. good review, a little harsh, glad I pre-ordered the movie way back in march.
Very good review! It was done very professionally. I completely agree with you, I like to think that the boy and the beast could've been a great movie but something happened along the way in the writing and this happened. Also I agree in the antagonist that it felt like it just came out of nowhere. Like, ok ichriohiko, you suffer from an identity crisis and it gave you crippling depression. But would it kill you to drop some hints or something? you were fine and dandy with ten earlier in the movie and suddenly you out right hate him???? Like, what????
There was some build up to him being the final villain if you will, at the start he helped Rei (or however you spell it) but as time went on his brother actually became the good one while he became more distant and obsessed
I feel like people are only explaining things on the surface, instead of what the movie really is. If you only explain what happens in a movie it won't do it justice, rather understand how the movie explains itself. Yes, the movie was a cluster of stories put into an almost two hours time span, but it's executed so amazingly. Each scene flows perfectly to the next. The pacing changes form time to time and the film eases you into it every time. Hosoda's amazing camera directing also shows a lot in this film. I was honestly surprise to check the time when I finished watching, I guess it's different for everyone, but for me I've never so many things put into one and yet mesh so neatly.
Summer Wars is far and away my favorite movie from Hosoda followed by Wolf Children. I agree that something felt off about this movie overall, but I actually went into it with very low expectations due to reading a pretty harsh review for it and thus was more than pleasantly surprised. I loved both the development of the lead characters as well as their relationship with one another and added this to my collection as soon as it was released.
Can some1 tell me the name of the anime from the upper-left corner? the one above kiki's delivery service?and the one in the middle-right,right next to the steins;gate one?
Wait so... is there a chance that there'll be a review for Katanagatari in the future? cause the animation and story in it is freaking AMAZING, and I don't remember if you did a review of it or not already.
One thing to take into account that makes Boy and the Beast better than "didn't live up to expectations" score. Yes it lacks the conflict (inner and outer) as well as powerful climax/ending. HOWEVER. People seem to miss that there are TWO main characters with their own journey/development. If we score it just on the basis of the boy than it is 7/10 at best. But if we take into account how another main character (Beast) changed, grew and made a choise it easily goes to 8+/10 department
Miyazaki films don't necessarily make sense but they're not really supposed to, he writes as the story is in production and ends whenever he feels like the story is over or gets tired of writing it. It's very dream like in my opinion. I love Spirited Away and most all Miyazaki films simply for the art, music, and feel of the films, but if you're looking for a logical story line with a three part plot like most, Miyazaki isn't for you.
***** The aspects that "don't make sense" are rarely crucial to the actual story or characters. Princess Mononoke has a lot of weird imagery, but the film makes perfect sense in the end. Because the messages and characters are universal. Kinda the same deal with Castle in the Sky and Porco Rosso. MoonstonePearl21 The term "overrated" tells me nothing about the person saying it or why they feel that particular way about something. Not a big fan of its use, just feels like a cop out most of the time. Most popular works would be considered overrated by at least some group of people.
Josh Leitzel Generally when people say something is overrated, they mean they don't think it's as good as the majority of people say it is. Spirited Away is considered by many to be one of the greatest anime movies of all time. A lot of people praise it to no end. I liked it and do think it's a really good movie, but I also think people raise it up to something that it isn't. I don't think it's as great as the majority thinks it is.
Okay, pausing at 0:38 to write this: Mamoru Hosoda's work and Hayao Miyazaki's work are COMPLETELY different to me. Miyazaki goes for more poetic stories with events that line together perfectly for an orchestral story that is fun from start to finish, while Hosoda's stories are fun from start to finish because of all the mishaps that happen. It's a clear distinction, and I'm not sure how people don't see that.
That scène in the beginning where he wanders through the Beast world I simply went. the Spirited away is strong with this one. the colors and setting just reminded me all to much of the bathhouse scène in the beginning of the the ghibli movie
@@kingburstingsun3209 I actually stopped watching the movie when she was introduced. I dont mind watching a movie where a character forgets older, but it heavily switched in the middle of the movie and I hated it. I wish he just learned to do it all on his own.
+Jenny Baxter How can't because I'm already saving money for driver's classes it costs $400. Plus I'm also planing to save my money to purchase 5 drill rifles for my Armed Drill Team and each Rifle cost $230. So how can I?
+Pixy Wings How would you know? Did you ask every freaking person who's watched it. My friends and I have been watching Anime for five years or longer and we all unanimously believe Aldnoah Zero is very Unique.
i certainly love this movie it may have been the liquor talking at the time but i was still think pretty thoroughly through the visuals and story with i enjoy except when they had to bring a antagonist. it wasn't completely necessary but hey we still saw the boy and the beast grow together which was nice
I pretty much agree on all points, I loved the film and it definitely hit some high notes for me, but the pacing was a little jumbled up in the middle and the third act was kind of out of nowhere. I have to say the best scenes were those involving the boy and the beast in question, as their relationship was the heart of the film. I especially liked Kumatetsu, he's like a bear version of Takamura from hajime no ippo. Something else I noticed: First The Girl who Leapt Through Time, then Wolf Children, now this. Hosoda's films all have boys leaving. He should totally adapt The Graveyard Book, it would look great in his style.
I know a lot of people on here will try to crucify me for saying this but, I think The Boy and the Beast is better than The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It's not as good as Wolf Children though.

I may be the only person who likes Summer Wars the best of all his films.
Over here
Gigguk's review of it perfectly summarizes my feelings.
Loved summer wars
I think it's his weakest
Kosta Jovanovic Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
kumatetsu actually didn't really care much about being lord, and definitly didnt care about becoming a god, he only wanted to beat aizen
wait.....aizen??
TLDW:
Another Hasoda film. Has a few troubles with meshing stuff, but worth the watch.
yeah... fuck you

Your reviews have matured. So good to see that maturity coming in your videos.
Keep up the good work, Arkada

Honestly my favourite anime film. The feels are so strong and it's just such a well done film. Personally, I enjoyed it even more than Wolf Children.

Its just their culture.
The Wolf Children ending ruined me for a good 2 weeks. Such an incredible movie, but the ending was so abrupt and felt rushed. The lack of solid closure :c
Wolf children is about the mother . It ends when she lets them go. Its the perfect bittersweet ending. Her stopry is told.

Feels like a review of someone too caught up in their expectations and regards of the creators to just take the work for itself.
You hit most of the problems I had with this film. Great production, but the story, and pacing just tried to accomplish too much in its run time, making the film feel disjointed and sporadic.
That, and it ended twice. The latter of which very nearly jumped the...whale? That last bit got rather strange...
castle 81 NTX Yup, I that came from out of nowhere and was unnecessary. The whole dad reunion story was also a bit forced, as there was no build up to it and it was introduced so late into the story that it felt rushed. Like seriously there were 5 different story lines occurring at the same time.
1. The fight to be ruler
2. The relation ship between the MC and the girl+ the school.
3. The father reunion
4. All the evil power related to humans and villain.
5. The father son relationship between the Boy and the beast.
He stumbles with third acts every time
+Joshua Lin I thought the third act on summer wars and wolf children was strong. Not so much with this and The Girl who leapt through time though.
Protagonist Yeah. My bad, I generalized. This and Girl who Leapt through Time were the ones I've seen, so I've felt that way about his work.
Your opening intro is really impressive. Great video.
I wish a studio would have GR help write a series or movie. It would be fantastic, I'm sure you all agree.
ReginaFera Actually the only character who dies is Kuma himself.
OHMYGOODNESS! You mentioned KatanaGatari!! I'm ecstatic that that show made its way around to you!! I absolutely loved it, and it was very unique, and very well done, if a bit too chatty to follow sometimes. I must now go and see if you have done a review of it :3
Aw, no review :< Would you mind doing one for KatanaGatari? PLEASE?!?
who are the Ghibli characters in the bottom-right and bottom 2nd-from-the-right at 8:31?
I think they are from 'Tales from Earthsea'. It's kind of the black sheep movie from Ghibli. Nobody really likes it but it's not horrible. Just mediocre.
I like the film and i rate it above Pom Poko and some others
A very solid review! Nice job, Tristan.
A ship sailing with a broken compass and unable to do well until it finds a lighthouse? That's an impressive metaphor.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time still stands as my favorite anime movie.
It gave me so many feels!!!
is there anywhere I can legally watch the show in English dubbed in Australia
just search for it on Google, you should be able to stream it legally (I think lol)
He asked for legal sites, dubhappy and gogoanime are not legal sites, stop trying to spread watching anime illegally, some people don't know better. I'm pretty sure madman will pick it up eventually if they haven't already, and they'll put the funimation dub on it.
It's available to rent or buy from the Google Play Store mate.
***** again, not a legal site. He specifically asked for a legal site.
+liquidmetal if it was illegal they'd have the sites taken down
1:40 in I'm sold where can I find this
I enjoyed it.
I absolutely love your reviews :) just gained a new subscribe!
any chance you chould do a gr about grimgar fantcy of ash
Great videos! Always look forward to them.
Strike it with the sword in your heart. You have one, so why won't you use it.
When that part of the movie came, I knew it'll be exceptional 😢
I think it was the ending that may be giving you that bit of doubt of the overall quality of the movie itself, a similar thing happened to me with the Martin Scorsese film. If you've seen it I can pretty much say everything about that ending that you did about The Boy and the Beast.
tl;dr: Leaving a great movie with a bad aftertaste taints the experience as a whole.
Thanks Arkada! I was waiting for this one! Even if you didn't love it me and literally everyone I've shown did!
Have you seen Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda (The Anthem of the Heart)? It was fantastic imo! one of my favorites for sure.
can u review porco rosso? and other ghibili films please, I'd like to hear your opinion
senpaii your impression about re zero?
Could you review some other movies? Sword of the Stranger, Paprika and perhaps my favorite anime series Guin Saga?
Can you please do a review of Ping Pong The Animation?
Can you please review recalled out of summer? You reviewed the original 7 movies.
There was some build up to him being the final villain if you will, at the start he helped Rei (or however you spell it) but as time went on his brother actually became the good one while he became more distant and obsessed
Do a review of Katanagatari, or The new anme-isque series, Thunderbolt Fantasy.
Please?
I'm actually going to watch this film today! Thanks for uploading this!
Can you please review The Heroic Legend of Arslan. I think you'll like it.
A possible review of Empire of Corpses??? please
Would be great if you could review Shinsekai Yori
Brilliant review Ark! Have you thought about doing more anime movie GR's? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Ghost in the Shell movies.
The one in the upper left is Madoka Magica and I think the other is Fullmetal Alchemist.
Please do review Katanagatari.
The Boy and The Beast and Wolf Children are currently my two favorites Hosoda did an awesome job with both movies.
I love it. I saw it in theaters, bought it on blu-ray, watched it twice on bluray and I'll watch it again.
Wait so... is there a chance that there'll be a review for Katanagatari in the future? cause the animation and story in it is freaking AMAZING, and I don't remember if you did a review of it or not already.
wowza!!!! awesome new logo bro!
I have noticed after a few videos, you've changed your clothes for your character portrayal, looking good!
for the most part I agree entirely with your point arkada. like this was the first time I was thinking like that during the movie.
It'd be awesome if you could review Kotoura-san :D
The boy and the beast is now available on netflix :3
I kinda didn't like the part when I was like "oh, so he can now travel between the human and beast world anytime he pleases... ok"
Makoto Shinkai > Hosoda & Miyazaki
Where can someone listen to an anime soundtrack
One thing to take into account that makes Boy and the Beast better than "didn't live up to expectations" score. Yes it lacks the conflict (inner and outer) as well as powerful climax/ending. HOWEVER. People seem to miss that there are TWO main characters with their own journey/development. If we score it just on the basis of the boy than it is 7/10 at best. But if we take into account how another main character (Beast) changed, grew and made a choise it easily goes to 8+/10 department
You didn't like Spirited Away? You son of a bitch!
I enjoyed Spirited Away, but I do think it's overrated.
+MoonstonePearl21 I get the implication, but it still comes off as weak defense IMO.
Any chance of you ever reviewing Monster Musume No Iru Nichijou?I think you will be surprised :D
I'm gonna do it. I suggest checking out Thunderbolt Fantasy. Jury's out on whether it's considered an anime or not but it's worth trying.
You can get the film on netflix as a disc.
Wow GR ur fucking insane, this film was a beautiful and perfect work of art
Will you ever do a review When Marnie Was There? I know it came out quite a while ago, but i'd love to hear your opinion on it.
The re-watch value of this film lies in the hints of the social context of Japan, its history related to whaling and buddhism.
It's a clear distinction, and I'm not sure how people don't see that.
can you review ushio and tora please
That scène in the beginning where he wanders through the Beast world I simply went. the Spirited away is strong with this one. the colors and setting just reminded me all to much of the bathhouse scène in the beginning of the the ghibli movie
Katanagatari review?
Kabaneri review? Please?
he recommended Katanagatari, that means there is probably a review coming at some point in the future. FINALLY!
I loved the boy and the beast but the incorporation of the girl felt off putting. Urg wish I could just go into detail.
Idk why I'm commenting when this comment is so old but I feel the exactly the same about the girl like how did she fit anywhere 💀
@@kingburstingsun3209 I actually stopped watching the movie when she was introduced. I dont mind watching a movie where a character forgets older, but it heavily switched in the middle of the movie and I hated it. I wish he just learned to do it all on his own.
Love the new intro
Glass Reflection Arkada in the future will you ever Review Aldnoah Zero?!!!
+Jenny Baxter How can't because I'm already saving money for driver's classes it costs $400. Plus I'm also planing to save my money to purchase 5 drill rifles for my Armed Drill Team and each Rifle cost $230. So how can I?
Please stop spamming that terrible anime.
+Pixy Wings To you Aldnoah Zero is a terrible Anime, but to others it was unique.
Ramon Reyes To most Aldnoah Zero is terrible and to a few who are new to anime it is "unique".
+Pixy Wings How would you know? Did you ask every freaking person who's watched it. My friends and I have been watching Anime for five years or longer and we all unanimously believe Aldnoah Zero is very Unique.
Can you please do a review on Kampfer
can you please review dusk maiden of amnesia
Yah
i certainly love this movie it may have been the liquor talking at the time but i was still think pretty thoroughly through the visuals and story with i enjoy except when they had to bring a antagonist. it wasn't completely necessary but hey we still saw the boy and the beast grow together which was nice
there is a site called gogoanime you can stream anything there even though its not licensed its still amazing
Yes but it's illegal.
who cares its not like the police are going to show up at your house
I care
care about what the streaming is hd all episodes are there and you don't get to spend a single penny
+desert man i mean if you wanna support the creators and allow them to create more stuff, that probably isnt the best venue to watch stuff
The movie is great and has some of the best music I've heard.
Speaking of Katanagatari, would you ever consider a review of it?
please tell me you will watch Eureka 7
PLEASE REVIEW SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR! PLEASE!
😕...😯...😑... What's up with your hair did you comb it differently
