Today begins LGBTQ Pride Month. But viewing people through the lens of sexual orientation, race, religion, or any group at all is not beneficial to society. The left demands that radical ideologies not only be tolerated but also celebrated. Long ago, Dennis learned there are only two groups of people in the world and it has influenced his life ever since.

I'm gay and I think I speak for many of us when I say the idea of a "pride month" is uncomfortable and unnecessary.
I am also gay and all of this to me is nonsense. I dont want to be singled out and this is exactly what we are doing. I also dont believe in hate crimes. Crime is a crime what difference does it make. I dont need special flag I just need one and its the America flag!.
Do you not understand the purpose of pride? Being proud of who you are? Many people fought and died for LGBTQ+ rights and we are still discriminated, hated, targeted, and harassed because of who we love, we have this month to celebrate and be proud of who we are in face if everyone who would rather see her hurt than happy.
I cannot understand how you as a gay man do not see this, especially if you're openly gay.

Pride is a false rainbow to mislead children to the pot of gold at end of the rainbow that is not there.... Be who love to be but never go out of your way to tell others who they should be.. Pride is not about getting rights, its about taking away others rights to richen their own rights that aleady equally have and deserve... My apartment complex sent out an email to celebrate pride month. Did they send out an email on Memorial Day honoring the soldiers who gave their lives ? Of course not. It’s so sad

One thing he and most of the Right don't seem to get is that the indecent define "decency" differently than he does. The Left see's the Right as "indecent", and themselves as "decent", so they will just hear him as being a hypocrite or validating themselves. Which is why there is no solution to the divide in our country: each side see's themselves as the only decent and viable ideology, and they are 180 degrees opposite each other. The only real solution is secession of the Right, but unfortunately most of the Right is either too blind or too stubborn to accept such a solution, and will sabotage any effort to free us from the domination and advantage of lawlessness the Left has over us.

I know I'm going to catch fire and insults for this from the more close-minded viewers here, but I'm doing it anyways. I'm a member of the LGBT community. Gay, specifically. And I was reluctant to watch this video, but I'm really glad I did now. Frankly, I agree with everything you said. I hate the Pride celebrations, and I never partake. And I hate how so many people from this community have made it a mission to try and cram LGBT pride down the throats of others. And guess what? Most of them are lefties. The Leftist have become so... Blind? I don't even know how to describe them anymore. I see them as a greater threat to LGBT rights than anyone else. Most "homophobes" I encounter are usually kind enough. There's a few bad ones yes, but like you said, Decent and Indecent people. The decent ones are willing to just steer clear. And I don't take offense to that. It's when we start trying to steer each other that the issues start. when we start trying to FORCE people to change their views. I'm gay. That's my deal. Not everyone else's. We're ALL human beings. I'll keep in my lane, you all keep in yours. But the Left just can't grasp that concept... Just to put into context how dumb some of them can be (If anyone needed further proof), I'm been called a homophobe because I vote red... By someone who knew I was gay. They even met my Boyfriend. I know people who vote democrat because they are gay and I know others that ARE gay because they are democrats, or rather extreme leftists. The forced trans ideology being taught to other's small children is going to cause a backlash on responsible adult gays who just want to keep the rights that they have fought so hard to achieve. Most people could not care less who sleeps with who, but when you start messing with their kids, there will be problems.

I think a better question is why do veterans and soldiers only get two days while just having different preferences gives you a full month?
My husband has taken to calling this month... Military Appreciation Month. We believe that this month is better suited to honor the men and women who selflessly serve our country.
The military is celebrated in at least five movies a year and all over television. Its pretty telling that instead of lobbying to have a full month for veterans you are instead saying there shouldn't be one for anybody else.
As I mentioned above, the democrats, who support pride month, also just increased benefits to veterans, while republicans voted against it. Why dont' you go ask those veterans on fixed incomes whether they appreciate lip service or cash, and which of them is more celebratory.

We are of the same mind and I want you to know that there are so many good people all across the south who are not racist and unless you're in a college town where outsiders bring their coordinated racist attacks against the locals. It's bs because the rest of the country don't live like that.
Companies do this bc they're out of ideas in advertising. They have Christmas, Halloween, Back to school, Summer Holidays, Mom and Dad days. Pride month is in a dead time, lasts 1 month and has an easy, print ready logo. It doesn't require too much and they get to virtue signal. When it won't be virtuous anymore, they'll stop.

I remember years ago when "Coming out" was a big thing. I think the idea of "Pride" is that you shouldn't be ashamed that you're LGBTQQIA. I agree with this sentiment. There is nothing shameful or wrong. I think the best way to handle Pride Month is to take pride in being an ally of the LGBTQQIA community.

As a gay person, I appreciate visibility, but I also value my personal space. It would be great if people could respect that without resorting to excessive flattery or attention. Let's focus on treating each other with kindness and understanding, regardless of our sexual orientations. We can build a world where being gay is just one aspect of who we are, rather than the defining factor in every interaction.
Also going back to being able to disagree on something but, still be friendly. My wife and I are Christians and we strongly believe homosexuality is a sin and wrong! However, that doesn't mean we can't be friends or at least friendly to somebody who is gay. We had a lesbian couple that were our neighbors! They were a blessing for us. They helped us all the time and we helped them in return. Then they moved away. We were sad and miss them even with our beliefs we were still able to love our neighbors.

Even some of my LGBT friends dislike pride month. They know it's forced and artificial. They question everyone being extra supportive of them during the month and for good reason
I like Pride. I like the parades. I like the partying and celebrating and making a scene. I like the protest/activism angle of Pride. And I like taking a moment to reflect on queer history and how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.
What I can do without is corporations going ham on it. Companies aren’t people. They aren’t queer. They haven’t dealt with bashing or discrimination. They didn’t lose friends or loved ones while the government ignored the AIDS crisis. They never had to deal with a gay fundie faith crisis or come out to an unsupportive family. The lgbtqia+ community has not earned that privilege; they are not oppressed or massly opposed, they have not gone through a war for the cause as there isn't anyone trying to start one with them (to my knowledge), generally there has not been any massly significant struggle to support they're case on pride. Pride is earned, not taken, and as a member of the lgb minus the t we do not have any right to pride unless it is pride in our country and life and other things that deserve it, because we have made it incredibly clear that your sexual identity is genetically based. I'm proud of our veterans, both living and not. I like to think we have Veterans' Year. It should be celebrated 365/4/366. Instead, we give them 2 days and give people of a certain orientation a whole month. Our society's priorities are really screwed up.

Many years ago, my wife & I had a complete falling out with her gay brother who we were quite close with. His adopted son and our son would play together all the time and we never treated them any differently than our hetero-friends & their children. However when we refused to "celebrate" his marriage to another man by refusing to allow our children to attend the wedding, he said these exact words - "If all of you aren't attending, then don't come at all - if you're not all here, then you're against us". Their assertion of their value, merit and importance to society has to expand, because they're never comfortable with who they are, and never will be. This is why they can't get enough attention and validation. When I was much younger I was determined I was going to change all the rules whatever they were, at least as they applied to me personally... not to this extent, but at last I was naiive. Exuberant in my youthful enthusiasm. I see that in these young people.
When it comes to pride month. I find it incredibly embarrassing I always found it to be my month for celebrating the invasion Normandy during world war II. I was born just two days after and that's what makes me proud to celebrate my birthday on the 8th every year. I'm almost 31 now next week and every time I keep hearing I never even knew about this whole pride month thing until last year when people were making such a big deal about it. It embarrasses me because it makes everything one who was born in June feel like they're gay. Now I've got nothing against homosexuals or anyone who has whatever sexuality they feel or call themselves but this is a disastrous insult to me. I always used to think of month as the year are freaking forces landed on Normandy. I always thought of it as a way of remembering all my family members that fought against tyranny. But now it's just the other way around this is complete BS I don't think any month should be celebrating anything like that. I used to be about celebrating Black History month now I'm like no I literally don't think there should be any month like that where the same humans on this planet. -The ability for queer young people to safely access information about their sexuality from a source that isn’t going to try to shame or convert them.

You are right. It is very difficult to be good in this world. I always stand my ground if I believe I am right, and if I later find out that I was wrong I make amends for my past statements. However, I am seldom proven wrong because I stand after I do my research. I have been attacked by professors, colleges, friends, colleagues, strangers, military officers, Sargents, fellow soldiers, and even family members. Mostly family members. Yes, it is hard to be good in this world. I don't go with the "group think" stuff either. That pissed off my professors in Psychology, Sociology, and other related fields. I didn't care, and my life would have been more pleasant if I would have gone with the stream instead of swimming upstream. However, when I look in the mirror, I am not shocked by what I see. I see a man with all the scars that are necessary for a life without guilt, or regret. I am still free. I am not ashamed of myself. I stood my ground, and by the grace of God, I survived, and here I am. Still standing. Still on the right path. Still running the race. Still looking at the finish line.

Dennis, the word "pride" has more than one meaning. Throughout history, gay people were ashamed of being gay and tried to hide it. So the idea of gay pride initially meant we no that we're no longer ashamed of who we are. Yes, things have gone off the rails lately but that's the original meaning.

@@lucasmurphy740 Is LGBT an immutable characteristic? If they're not immutable, why is it beneficial to promote being LGBT? T in particular is a problem that comes with outrageous costs and an ultra hi suicide rate. If it is immutable, what other such characteristics should we celebrate? Should we have white pride month?
