Very handy. I’m not doing it, my other half is but I didn’t know what he was talking about so I thought I’d do some research. So far UA-cam has shown me 2 types of wall ties…🤨..I appreciated the pink bucket tho. 😆
As always Fella "Great Work, Well Done" 📹
Thanks again audiostud

Great video, thanks for all your help
“Nice pink bucket.” It’s Bouquet! 😝😝😝
Nice vid stu. I'm no brickie but have you seen these masonry screws on the market now? No more rawl plugs... I reccomend them. Think they could work for you here. I rate the fixing over a plug. Simpler, easier, stronger try em out!
Nice video. Just out of interest why did you not screw the wall tie to the the bricks being layed and only put cement on top? Would it not hold better if screwed in?
Crisp, Clean and down to business. Another great vid!
Hi Stu, love the UA-cam channel. I'm going to brick up my kitchen door this weekend, but have a few queries. Does the cavity also have to be extended on the floor between the internal and external brick courses? At the moment the floor has a screed, but I wasn't sure if to cut this where the cavity should be. Also, is it OK to leave the lintel in place? I have a boot lintel above the door, which looks difficult to remove. Finally, is there any special preparation for using aerated blocks, I've seen it mentioned that they should be soaked first and a 6:1 mortar mix used? Thanks in advance for any advice.
