Man your hair was long! So no matter if you degreased the screen when you first ever used it and you used emulsion remover and paint remover , you still have to degrease the screen again? Do you still clean your screens in this method?
Hahah, it sure was. I've let it grow long a few times. Thank this was one of the last times I let it grow long. Take a look at your screen after the emulsion remover. If there are parts where the water separates quickly, then I'd degrease. If the water stays even on the screen, no areas where it parts, I'd degrease.
I washed screens & coated them, burned them, etc, for about 10 years. Metal frames are the best. Wood warps. I could reclaim more than 40 screens a day, all sizes. The smell of emulsion remover is burned into my soul!
I love the smells in our shop. That's awesome to hear! I'm not a big fan of wood frames. We do have a couple wooden frames that's an odd size. 21x23 and the frame on them are thick. They are the only ones that haven't warped out of our dozen wooden frames. That and you can't have the wooden ones remeshed. At least not around here.
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen Thank you! One more question. Why do you think my ink did not go though the design of the screen? I am thinking, I did not clean my screen throughly. I did not use the pressure washer to clean my screen. I am brand new at this.
Did you completely remove the stencil making it look new again? How did the image wash out? Did it look completely cleared? Did you use enough down force to clear the mesh? It's hard to really tell without some sort of visual reference, but those are some things you should look into. I hope this helps.
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen thank you. I just rehashed it with the emulsion cleaner and pressure washer. I just order dehazer because the image is still in the screen. I am hoping my next attempt will work. I don’t think, I used the proper procedure. I will let you know how things turned out.

A huge job was already in progress. 40,000 white T-shirts. ....But!, a chick in the Art Dept sort of forgot to add the second R in the word Chiropracter. ...Then, someone noticed it 10,000 shirts later!! The Boss walked out on the shop floor! Shirts flew threw the air, even a phone!! The sky itself trembled from the roar in his voice!!
I'm looking into having my company move to using the chemicals you do, so that way we can bypass having a filtration system and a dip tank. Would you mind pasting a link to where you buy your chemicals from?

I notice people take screens to car washes, but if I want to try keep things in close proximity are there ways I can reclaim without causing damage?

Just full power. The further you are away the less pressure, the closer more pressure. Get closer for those hard to remove spots.

Just press wash, which you spray on and wipe off the ink, or you can use ink wash. Just gently scrub and wash the ink away.
There is no link for the brushes you use. Please assist I am having a hard time finding Emulsion remover brushes!
Hey I don't have a pressure washer, is it still possible to clean the screen with just the tap?
If you have a water hose, will work okay. The edges are going be harder to removed. I used to sneak to a carwash to do mine before I got one.

Thank you! We let them air dry for a couple minutes, and then we put them in our drying cabinet which is a homemade wooden box.

Thank you! It was plastisol. With water base you just wash out the ink with water. With plastisol, you need an ink wash of your choice.

1600 will work just fine. I wouldn't go higher than 1800.
