From White to Purple! Crazy Tenebrescent Hackmanite, Minerals, Crystals! Ontario Rockhounding

I had a chance last year to get to collect at a pretty interesting local that produced tenebrescent hackmanite. Tenebrescence is a phenomenon that occurs when a mineral changes colour after UV light exposure. Last summer I was digging a garden and found all sorts of interesting fossils, there is a field and large rock pile near by with even more fossils. I am going to start hunting for arrowheads and different rock/minerals/crystals. Do you have any videos for beginners? Maybe a video that explains what kind of tools i should invest in, how to clean and label and properly collect, or any tips and tricks for someone new. Love your videos, thank you for all the wonderful content. I cannot wait for the spring weather now! Take care

Depends on where you are roughly, generally check the rules for collecting where you live and go from there as i learned recently that you can't collect in Ontario so I don't anymore. If ypu live somewhere where you I would say stick to surface collecting and generally it's good practice to GPS track all your finds.

How long until it reverts?

Depends on the quality of the peices, one of my specimens takes a couple hours to fully revert whereas most only take a minute or two to revert.
