  • The questions to ask yourself across the two columns (of your current-past-self and your ideal self):
    1. Who am I?
    2. How would I describe myself?
    3. How would others describe me?
    4. What are my beliefs and assumptions?
    5. What are the past experiences that have shaped the current perception I have of myself?

    A fun exercise I recommend for examining your self-confidence is to literally assume you are your favorite celebrity; just approach the waitress or grocery checkout as Selma Hayek or Brad Pitt, you learn very quickly that your self-confidence is often a knob/slider you can set to any value even just out of boredom, and a significant amount of how others see you is based on how you see yourself. And my favorite example of someone demonstrating self-affirmation is Michelle Obama's story of her friend Rob, who greets his own image in the mirror each time with "hey buddy!" Sounds silly until you realize that this person is always happy to see themselves, and how different an experience that must be.. 🤔❤
