Good video! You don’t need to export anything to edit in Designer. If you have both apps installed, you can simple select Edit in Designer and your halftone is still available in Designer and you can even adjust it in Designer.
Great tutorial. Affinity delivers SO much software for a VERY reasonable, NON-SUBSCRIPTION price. So many of us will never RENT from Adobe again-they done got too big for their britches! 😁
Hi @HyexaMemes! My channel's thumbnails are all made with Affinity Designer. So it is great for that purpose. However, sometimes the raw assets need to be touched up in Affinity Photo, but usually for me this only happens when the video is about Affinity Photo itself and I need to show some effect (like this current Half Tone video). Most of the time I can do touch-ups with Affinity Designer's pixel persona or Adjustment Layers. Hope this helps!
@@TechnicallyTrent Thank you for the detailed insight, helps a lot! Maybe I'll get Photo someday, but for now I'll use Designer, and I'm glad it's enough for now.
Hi @paulinarosales2846, it depends on the mockup file. You can open Photoshop files in Affinity, but not all features are supported. I'll try to make a video on this soon!

Hi @benjfischer, great point, I should have mentioned that!
No faffing around, just golden nuggets 😀 My favourite Affinity 'how to' channel right now. Keep up the great work!
Thanks @Baz_101!
Love your channel. No nonsense tutorials for affinity! Really appreciate it.
Super tutorial! I had no idea there even existed a halftone live filter.
Excellent video, as always!
Kate should have followed your tutorials!

Great work as usual! Made me think as a beginner to Affinity - is Designer enough for creating youtube thumbnails or should one invest in Photo too?
