I loved this project for Valentine's day, the pairing of the two fabrics is so lovely! 😍 I have been seeing both big collars and rick rack everywhere recently. I definitely want to try using some rick rack for spring/summer too, your video has convinced me to take the plunge! 😊
Aw thank you! ❤️ Yes, I feel like I’ve been seeing them so much for the last year or so. Yay, definitely do it! I think it’s so cute. Thank you so much! 😊❤️
Tip for the wrist pin cushion: use a small metal lid from a jar or something, as a base for your pin cushion. Makes sure that you can't pin through the back of it into your skin!
Hi and congrats for your top and going out of your comfort zone ! It's a really special piece of clothing. Does finished seams with pinking shears last in time ? Do you machine wash your clothes ? And still no fraying ? I don't know why but my brain can't cope with the fact that using pinking shears is a way to finish seams. Love your videos ! Watching from France :)
Hi! Thank you! I do machine wash my clothes and it has worked for me so far without fraying. My cotton milkmaid dress and lyocell Confetti Frock dress both have sections where they only have a single seam and pinking shears finishing and I’ve been washing them for over a year without fraying. That being said French seams or using a serger is the best method for long lasting results. I’ll have to see how the pinking shears hold up with more years of use. Thank you so much for watching, I’m so happy you’re enjoying my videos! Love that you’re watching from France! ❤️❤️❤️
It’s a very cute adorable pattern. I love the details- so precious. I also like the fact it’s adjustable. What fabric did you use (cotton?). I would like to try clothing but for now am sewing home decor.
Thank you! Yes both of the fabrics were just cotton. You should absolutely give it a go! I highly recommend starting out with cotton it’s one of the easiest fabrics to work with. 😊❤️
I too definitely hate making straps, haha! I have found mild success with a loop turner (it’s like $3 at the store). It’s not failproof but less work in the long run :)
Haha well welcome to my club then! 😆❤️ I should definitely add one of those to my collection. Thanks so much for watching! I wish you a stress free time in all your future strap turning endeavors! 😉
I loved seeing you try something different and make the most of a beautiful fabric. So much more satisfying to wear it than keep it in your stash! Congratulations on the latest milestone for your channel. It's really well deserved 🎉🎉🎉
Yes definitely do it! It was very rewarding to finally put it to good use, and it’s a fun creative exercise to try and make random amounts of fabric work for a project. 😊 Best of luck with your next creation! ❤️
Good for you for trying something out of your comfort zone, and for making use of that special fabric you'd been saving. I think your solution to the missing ruffle on the edge of the collar worked out very well. And, congrats on the channel growth too :)
I love watching your videos. I’ve been sewing for years, but you are enthusiasm is very inspiring! I love the way you are not afraid of challenges! You are very talented!

If you don’t do some sort of hair tutorial. Girl every video it looks amazing
Hahaha well thank you! I change it so much I honestly don't know how I would do a tutorial but I highly appreciate the compliment. :)
I second the hair request 😂
I love this on you. Great to expand your sewing skills and using different fabrics. It is sooooo cute. Love it.
Thank you so much! 😊❤️ Thanks for watching!
