Only a crime if you are above the age of 13. Any older and you should get at least 3 years indentured servitude as a farmer producing crops for disadvantaged families.
This plot line bugged me because Glen and the others spent so many seasons complaining about maintenance and funding issues and he just happened to have all this money he didn’t think was worth spending? It was so lame 😂
I love this episode but you're not wrong - I feel it would been better if they had tried fixing all those issues then the contractor had been like it's only $15k, then they trashed the store. But still its a funny episode :)
@@blake..- Glenn clearly doesn't understand the fund properly, I'd say that maintenance simultaneously being an issue and Glenn having a Rainy Day Fund check out.
I'm more of the belief that he just forgets about it the day after he sets it aside. As for the $15 dollars for break room repairs thats just the breakroom there are other parts of the store
It just occurred to me that could have replaced a few things and threw the old one away (or donated them ) without going to this trouble. Many contractors will do this for you.
To be fair, in an actual audit, they check expenses AND timestamps... Glen would've been screwed if they actually checked because a one time expense that large before he leave is literally the biggest red flag you can give an auditor. It would literally have been better for him to keep the money there and just play dumb about the expense policy.
I kinda dkubt it, theres prodeures, forms, photos and tons of email to even approve purchasing fences/can of paint. But citizen tricking the system for ebt or gov assistance esp during lockdown was and still is a serious prob.
@@Hello0x0 Government aid and corporate expense all follow the same rule; materiality, everything under a particular threshold doesn't matter. Something like 27k like Glen's case across several years doesn't matter to a corporate auditor, it's not even 1% of that store's expenses so they chalk to bad math or missing receipts and move on. EBT fraud works the same way, even if you counted all the fraud, it's barely anything on the government's radar. They'll go after clearcut fraud cases but they're not spending more to fix what could be a rounding error. Covid assistance fraud, on the other hand, was just a huge government failure.
lmao Glenn I love how he was determined to spend all the money because he is a good person so he then decides to drive through the front window of the store lol that's just crazy Glenn
- too bad it's not available outside the U.S or Canada or U.K. Also I have not tried changing my VPN [I live in Southeast Asia]. But I am thankful of the shows youtube account. Spoilers are welcome :)
This scene bothers me because throughout the other seasons there was a lot of broken and damaged things that they needed repaired or replaced and complained about corporate not doing anything about it. Plus they went through so much trouble to rack up 27k when they could've just done something spill water on some electronics to destroy some machines. Plus the damage that Glenn did when he drove into the store would probably result in a lot more costs in damage than what they were going for. And he'd probably be getting charges and it jail time
I honestly thought this part would be a lot shorter. How I thought it was gonna work out is the store needed lots of actual legitimate maintenance, and $27k isn't enough to cover it.
"i think you mean bedazzling" "which is also a crime" 💀
To be fair he's got a point

glenn has always been so oblivious to mostly everything but him running his car into the store was crazy 😅
only Glenn could drive a car into the store and no one gets upset

Is domesticate terrorism then embezzlement supposed to be better?

In season one he said they only had a budget of $15 for break room repairs and couldn’t replace a bucket collecting drops from the ceiling

I wonder how many managers actually do stuff like this on a regular basis

Every day
Worked at a Walmart where the store manager had embezzled about a half million at the money center, he and a few others caught and fired
Embezzlement, probably quite often. Embezzlement to make sure the store has funds for future repairs and maintenance? Never ever
Throughout the show there are dozens of things that need fixing, but apparently none of them qualified for the rainy fay fund 😂
In reality they could just break like 10 of their Zebra scanners and the server room and they’d be at $27k
Or just break a forklift or two.
Well they weren’t under Zephra yet
@@poke8735 Zebra scanners are real products that stores use and they cost around $2000 each

The montage with gangsta gangsta in the background was too much 😂

They could have upgraded the staff room ….and said the money came from glenn as a parting gift or sowewhere else
Points for being creative
They should have done some mtnce and back date the receipts
So embezzlement and fraud, but with a paper trial?
5:23 lmao
Maybe Mateo does deserve to get deported
will there be season 7?????
I wish there will be
Why not give it away to the employees as bonuses? A Pizza party to go with that. They already thought the money was spent.
because of the audit, they needed records of what it had been spent on, and the money was for maintenance, so a pizza party wouldn't qualify

couldn't they juzt zpend the money on ztuff in the break room?

Glenn waz actually pretty zmart to drive hiz car through the ztore and deztroy the doorz
