He was pretty level-headed in the show until Blake started foiling his plans, first in Menagerie (and turning Ilia against him to boot) and then at Haven. The reason he turned into an "obsessive ex"--and in my opinion the faults in that plot were the writing and not the substance of the idea--was because his plans were shattered and Blake, whom he already proved he was "obsessed" with with at the Fall of Beacon, was largely responsible for it. Even without their history, it was only natural that Adam's focus would narrow to revenge. At that point he'd lost his power, his credibility, what else did he have left? 7:26 you can't FATHOM how happy i was to hear Roman's phrase from volume 3 being used again, hell from the first line alone, i knew what he was gonna say and said it with him
I like that you guys removed the Ex lover plot line that makes him seem obsessive and kept him as Blake's mentor. Blake and Adam's introduction scene here felt natural and makes him feel more interesting for the story line.
Man, I’m really loving where this series is going. All the little character interactions during each fight, the fight animations looking great, the conversation between Blake and Adam, it’s all very well put together! Well done to everyone who put this together
Cardin is a Nora for fire, works well with the fact he fights a chunk of fire dust in his mace. If he gets to fight were sustained fires can easily happen, well he is already known for friendly fire.
Something that I genuinely love (and it's something I notice with other RWBY Fan Projects); is just how well you guys have nailed the tone with what RWBY embodies. The choreography, writing, and dialogue feels really at home and comfy with the IP represented. My favorite bit of the fight was probably Weiss's choreography and the tail-end of Ruby, Roman and Dove's fight. Both had a really great sense of flow and tension that felt right at home. Also--the Blake/Adam scene gave so much in really great characterization and details. Really happy to see that.
THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! Oh my God, I can't believe Adam was there AND kept himself in check. Wonder if CRDL is gonna have a leadership issue now. Good that Ilia isn't tied to Adam anymore, at least not directly. It'll be a while before we see her or anyone else though it seems.
Full fight scenes, lyrical music, and the singer even kinda sounds like Casey. This is extremely impressive and shaping up to be a great a series! Keep up the great work! ❤
To add to the other comment, the intro is Casey as well, it's from the Arrowfell game (RWBY: Arrowfell). It's great how they used actually music just from outside the direct show
This is it! This is a series I can respect a Neo that can fight wouldn't get beat by some old lady (that literally gave up fighting the moment she lost her sight) Roman who didn't die like a chump (they should have made him Ozpin's newest host just saying) and finally an Adam that's just her Mentor and shows what a threat he is- strong, scary, dangerous, and yet makes solid points. Plus we get to see how Team CRDL runs.
Man what a drop, and on my birthday too. Love the episode, choreography top notch. Cardin and Yang's dynamic in the fight, they don't get along, but were willing to be neutral to each other for taking on neo. Adam's VA is almost 1 for 1 (unless it is, have never know the cast besides the main four and RT in original RWBY), and the fact he wanted to talk civil with Blake. Dove and Ruby dynamic 10/10.
I have to say, even though the animation style is slightly different, you captured the essence of rwby through their individual movements and tactics, even with Team CRDL who we barely got to know as a whole, the personalitys fit nicely. I'm also glad to see this series continue, I was half expecting the series to end prematurely after the post about the comic.
@@aniocitex1131 I always feel Cardin and Dove carried most of the group's heavy lifting, Dove's skills and Cardin's strength. Russell and Sky have potential but look to be clouded with insecurities and lack of drive to use them.

@@neofulcrum5013 at least they're working on making it smooth. some work on the choreography and body animation and then they really will have better fight scenes.
The thing I wish the original show could have explored more was making some of the villains more well intentioned while empathizing on the heroes flaws Examples of series I’d like to use for reference being Avatar The Legend of Korra, She-Ra, Wakfu, Lego Monkie Kid, Psychonauts, and Overwatch Now don’t get me wrong I think they should still have evil characters to balance it all out Some examples of missed opportunities that I’m thinking being The White Fang and the Faunus relationships with humanity, the series should have emphasize on humanities prejudice towards the Faunus and show examples why the White Fang became what it is now. Showing Adam and Sienna Khan’s characters as vigilante, revolutionary, freedom fighter, terrorist types where Sienna is like a Magneto like figure who uses violence to ensure the Faunus get their rights. Maybe seek to make Menagerie an independent kingdom to be a safe Haven for Faunus with its own government and Huntsman Academy. Meanwhile Adam who starts off this path becomes more ruthless and believes that war is inevitable and in order to ensure the survival of the Faunus they should be the ones on top to prevent humanity from enslaving and/or exterminating them and slowly becomes everything he once stood against and takes over himself rather than be an angry incel. Salem’s Cabal against Ozpin’s inner circle and their history in how they shape Remnants history, kinda like the war between the Assassins and Templars from Assassins Creed. With some members believing in her cause to bring a new world order and that Ozpin maintaining the status quo is why Remnant is the way it is, while other are more invested in personal gain. Salem seeking the Relics to destroy and remake remnant, in order to get revenge on the gods and steal their power out of a belief the world and universe are imperfect and desires to make one that is in order to get her happy ending. Ozpin being more complex morally grey but still a heroic figure where his methods are immoral and morally questionable at times, it’s still shown that he does care about his students and regrets the decisions he makes and hopes that the main cast won’t become like him. For General Ironwood I think a better course for his character could have been someone who wanted to change Atlas for the better and grew disgusted by the elites hubris and corruption And joined Ozpin’s group in order to save humanity from Salem Upon seeing Ozpin’s flaws as well as seeing the corrupt and flawed system of not just Atlas but the other kingdoms of Remnant as well. And decides that the best way to unite humanity, rally it against Salem, and ensure that it stays that way would be to take over the world as a “benevolent” dictator seeing Ozpin refusing to be King of Remnant during the Great War as a mistake. All this makes Ruby question herself more in her duties as a Huntress, learning the world isn’t so black and white, and that sometimes the heroes have to make difficult decisions while villains aren’t always completely evil individuals.
I love the dialogue and how everyone's their Season 1-3 selves. And we have the amazing Torchwick back into our lives! I LOVE NEOOOOOOOOO Also the From Shadows motif when Blake gets to the airship was a nice touch. Love it!
Honestly, what I like about this episode is that Cardin's team ended up helping team RWBY to an extent, which makes me hope that there will be a redemption arc for their leader, in hopes that they can improve their behavior instead of being forgotten again for being side characters. If Oscar can exist without being tied to just being "Ozpin's host", then I can believe Cardin can eventually exist without just being "That one annoying bully". And I'm all to see if such an arc will exist, in hopes we get to see more of that team in the future. Hopefully the mission was a wake up call.

Yeah, Russel just seems like a bit of a coward, he acts tough around Cardin but when he's not around he really doesn't know what to do unless he's given orders. So he's a lacky but he has potential to be something better later down the line.
The classic Cute and Psycho, well since Roman is still alive she will probably not be as insane as she was in the later volumes. I definitely like seeing more development for the White Fang and an antagonist group that opposes them.
Another excellent episode! Great fight scenes! And Neo making these small noises are so adorable!🥰 And I love the character interaction between Adam and Blake. More suttle, calm, level head, and down to earth (or Remnant in this case). And I love the animation sprinkled here and there during conversations. Again Fantastic episode! Looking forward to see the next one!👏🤩
You know I'm starting to get the theory that this is not so much a AU, But somehow time 'resetting' due to some unknown power. Wouldn't that be amazing if that became canon?
Everything in this is great, but Sy popped off animating Neo bodying Cardin. All the movements feel so fluid! Honestly, even if there is a bit of jank now and then in the rest of the animation, it still conveys the characters really well and adds a lot of charm. Looking forward to more if it ever happens! :D

Just binged all the episodes so far. It started off good and just improved in leaps and bounds each time. From what felt like motion comic(still enjoyable) to actual animated fight scenes. Awesome. And there’s even an intro. I love that you’re actually delving into things more, and there are so many more aspects of the world. Different grades of dust, an opposing force to the white fang, Adam being Blake’s teacher and nothing more(probably my favourite incarnation of him).
I love this series! ❤ So much work and love put into it! The characters are much better, than in the new seasons of RWBY! Every single one of them! Some of them even better, than in the first seasons! 🥰
This is somehow exactly how I imagined Monty's vision going. Great job on this!! If you need anyone to help with VA's or Writing, I'm here to help! Although, I'm not so good on animation lol
You guys killed it with the fight scene AND the music! Weiss and Russel hitting the spin dash Rwby being stronger than in volume three and yang and cardins combos were amazing and the landed some hits the just hate each other is all 🤣
I think that Torchwick's semblace is some type of inventory or pocket dimension, when he make appear his weapon from no where and when he take the shot from Khaki, could be teleportation of inanimate objects or anything else
Pretty good fight animation! Almost as good as the early volumes. I also love that Calxiyn is playing Neo. The characterizations of Adam and Team CRDL were pretty good too. This is turning out to be a decent alternative to the original series, especially since it may not continue anytime soon.

7:26 you can't FATHOM how happy i was to hear Roman's phrase from volume 3 being used again, hell from the first line alone, i knew what he was gonna say and said it with him
I know, right? It's such a good callback from the original. Only this time, he didn't end up in a Grimm's belly.
This AU has basically become my medicine for when the infuriating thoughts of the OG RWBY creep into my head.
Adam Taurus the cool and mysterious, is back.
Oh how we've missed him.
Cardin is a Nora for fire, works well with the fact he fights a chunk of fire dust in his mace. If he gets to fight were sustained fires can easily happen, well he is already known for friendly fire.
Amazing work as always. I notice that Adam’s scar is visible beneath the mask.
@@stevenkurtz2730 anotha glorious day working for the SDC
It is Casey, the song is from the RWBY game that was on switch
The song is 'Go strike' from the game 'Omega Strikers'. The reason it sounds like Casey is because it was actually sung by her
To add to the other comment, the intro is Casey as well, it's from the Arrowfell game (RWBY: Arrowfell). It's great how they used actually music just from outside the direct show
Cal's "pew" for the finger gun was adorable. 😍😍 @2:24
Not the Russel homing attack lmaooo
Love Yang & Cardin vs Neo fight. Can't wait to see more of this.
The animations were amazing and the voice actors are hitting it out the park
Man what a drop, and on my birthday too.
Love the episode, choreography top notch.
Cardin and Yang's dynamic in the fight, they don't get along, but were willing to be neutral to each other for taking on neo.
Adam's VA is almost 1 for 1 (unless it is, have never know the cast besides the main four and RT in original RWBY), and the fact he wanted to talk civil with Blake.
Dove and Ruby dynamic 10/10.
Happy Birthday
I have to say, even though the animation style is slightly different, you captured the essence of rwby through their individual movements and tactics, even with Team CRDL who we barely got to know as a whole, the personalitys fit nicely. I'm also glad to see this series continue, I was half expecting the series to end prematurely after the post about the comic.
Thing is CRDL is well coordinated without Cardin. He’s too brash but the others have skill, specifically Russell and Dove
@@aniocitex1131 I always feel Cardin and Dove carried most of the group's heavy lifting, Dove's skills and Cardin's strength. Russell and Sky have potential but look to be clouded with insecurities and lack of drive to use them.
The story in this goes so unbelievebly hard!!! the use of everyones semblances, the fighting, the voice acting, THE THE THE CHARACTER MOMENTS, AHHHHHHHHHH
Actually my favorite rwby au, I love it
Okay, this... This is probably what Monty wanted. Fun adventures driven by colorful characters, cool fights, nice music in the background and just a spicing of interesting mature themes. The official show I watched and forgot like 3/4 of immediately, with 0 desire to re-watch. This... This I'm bloody re-watching for the third time already, and it's not even fully out yet. Congrats, mates, you made the show that Rooster Teeth tried and failed to make!
So awesome!!!!!
I am totally convinced that the original show now isn’t what Monty wanted
I am SO glad I stumbled on this series!! The visuals, the voice acting, the progression of the story- it's all super fun! Getting to see interactions between characters we didn't have in the original series has been really great. And I absolutely adore the new outfits y'all designed for the characters.
And the fight scenes in this episode were so entertaining!! I'm really looking forward to more!
And JUST LIKE THAT!!
This fan series already has better fight choreography than some of the official volumes! :D
While I don’t agree completely, but yes this AU series is very entertaining.
Eh still felt stiff and awkward in some moments but not bad
@@neofulcrum5013 at least they're working on making it smooth. some work on the choreography and body animation and then they really will have better fight scenes.
@@JaneDoe-dg1gv time will tell
@@neofulcrum5013 That is a truth we all know too well.
2:01 As Uncle Iroh once said "Ahhh that is true, but you are clearly outmatched."
I LOVE THIS, I’m also loving Neo so much, as always, but what’s killing me is the guy just standing there 😭 1:08 it’s so funny to me
Really been enjoying RWBY “what if” 😂😂😂
Me too
The thing I wish the original show could have explored more was making some of the villains more well intentioned while empathizing on the heroes flaws
Examples of series I’d like to use for reference being Avatar The Legend of Korra, She-Ra, Wakfu, Lego Monkie Kid, Psychonauts, and Overwatch
Now don’t get me wrong I think they should still have evil characters to balance it all out
Some examples of missed opportunities that I’m thinking being
The White Fang and the Faunus relationships with humanity, the series should have emphasize on humanities prejudice towards the Faunus and show examples why the White Fang became what it is now.
For General Ironwood I think a better course for his character could have been someone who wanted to change Atlas for the better and grew disgusted by the elites hubris and corruption
And joined Ozpin’s group in order to save humanity from Salem
Upon seeing Ozpin’s flaws as well as seeing the corrupt and flawed system of not just Atlas but the other kingdoms of Remnant as well.
I LOVE NEOOOOOOOOO
Also the From Shadows motif when Blake gets to the airship was a nice touch. Love it!
Torchwick's Semblance: [DEEP POCKETS]
Really enjoying this so far! Can't believe it's almost been a year since the first episode released. Keep up the good work!
A think I like about this series is that it feels right in the Rwby universe, I could 100% see this happening if the story just makes some differences
7:13 YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I SCREAMED AND KICKID WHEN SEEING HIM USING HIS SEMBLANCE!!!! SERIOUSLY, I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU COULD MAKE THIS CANON!!!😆😆😆
PLEASE KEEP THIS SERIES GOING 🙏
this is actually the best rwby content I've seen in so long.
I love this so much; amazing work.
Amazing job. Great portrayal of Cardin' team. He's the rotten apple, not others.
If you ask me, the jury is still out on Russel. The guy litterally did nothing until Weiss told him too.
@@anditomoratana9353 Fair. Though I focused more on sheer inadequacy to the job, rather than lack of initiative.
Yeah, Russel just seems like a bit of a coward, he acts tough around Cardin but when he's not around he really doesn't know what to do unless he's given orders. So he's a lacky but he has potential to be something better later down the line.
Are you sure this isn’t actually RWBY?
Anyway… I love this.
Also…. I love ruby enough to take a bullet for her ❤
I mean it is, just a what if type. Like marvel’s what if.
Who voices Adam? He’s absolutely spot on!
Critmagnet! He also voices Cardin and Khaki!
For what this is I’m getting serious volume 1 vibes, and a spot on impression of Roman and Neo! Keep up the good work!
Wow, the fact you actually do a better job at telling a RWBY Story than Rooster teeth does, Great Job! XD
Agreed
Friend of mine mentioned that this was a good RWBY project to look at
I'm keeping my tabs on this for sure, yall deserve all the best!
I really do like seeing some extremists on the opposite of the White Fang. Also Neo's little 'pew' so cute
The classic Cute and Psycho, well since Roman is still alive she will probably not be as insane as she was in the later volumes. I definitely like seeing more development for the White Fang and an antagonist group that opposes them.
Two thumbs up to both Torchwick and Adam. Really captured their personality AND voice. Eager to see more!
So glad I found this series.
Roman has the semblance that was stolen from him by Fiona I love this ptoject
This is soooo good!
Reminder that Roman has no Aura or huntsman training in Canon and is just really damn skilled.
I think he did have aura he just doesn’t have a semblance.
Awesome fight scenes! Well worth the wait.
OMG THE ANIMATION IS EXCELLENT
Love how yang catches her string when they’re about to fly off
Everything in this is great, but Sy popped off animating Neo bodying Cardin. All the movements feel so fluid! Honestly, even if there is a bit of jank now and then in the rest of the animation, it still conveys the characters really well and adds a lot of charm. Looking forward to more if it ever happens! :D
I really hope Adam show what behind his Mask right in front of Weiss face to face without Blake around. Realize the sin & disgusting stuff that Schnee Family was done to Fanus it push Weiss trough the edge. Made her Ranaway like Blake did In Vol.1 But unlike last time It was Blake who tried hard to found her however Ironiclly Blake may never even prepare for the answer that what Weiss seen behind Adam Masks.
Different grades of dust, an opposing force to the white fang, Adam being Blake’s teacher and nothing more(probably my favourite incarnation of him).
glad so many people enjoyed this!
I would never thought seeing Teams RWBY and CRDL fighting side by side would be this cool. Totally beats the original🔥
Also the way Neo fought them and still had the upper hand without her semblance makes her so cool💕
I already like this more than seasons 4-6 .I hope this will get at least full season because for now its looks very promising.
I love it! So much combat and genius dialog! 10/10
I love this series! ❤
So much work and love put into it! The characters are much better, than in the new seasons of RWBY! Every single one of them! Some of them even better, than in the first seasons! 🥰
The fight animation and choreography was so good!
Huge thanks for making team CRDL actually interesting.👏👏👏👏
This is somehow exactly how I imagined Monty's vision going. Great job on this!! If you need anyone to help with VA's or Writing, I'm here to help! Although, I'm not so good on animation lol
Cardin semblance was beautiful!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
You guys killed it with the fight scene AND the music!
Weiss and Russel hitting the spin dash
Rwby being stronger than in volume three and yang and cardins combos were amazing and the landed some hits the just hate each other is all 🤣
Finally included some bloopers of my own for this, was heaps of fun!
I think that Torchwick's semblace is some type of inventory or pocket dimension, when he make appear his weapon from no where and when he take the shot from Khaki, could be teleportation of inanimate objects or anything else
I LOVE THIS SERIES! SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT EPISODE!
THE FIGHT CHOREO IS INSANEEEEE LOVE THIS EP SO MUCH!!!
Pretty good fight animation! Almost as good as the early volumes. I also love that Calxiyn is playing Neo. The characterizations of Adam and Team CRDL were pretty good too. This is turning out to be a decent alternative to the original series, especially since it may not continue anytime soon.
Those fight scenes had me grinning from ear to ear.
Take as much time as you need for the next one (You can't rush art after all)
i LOVE how there's so much detail, and i absolutely ADORE how Neo looks and her fight scenes. Keep up the great work, we all really enjoy it!

Oooh I like what you are doing with Adam
Amazing episode great fights great music Adam isn't a fucking obsessed incel Ex and him and Blake had an actual conversation for ounce yeah I love this AU.
It’s so good I love the rwby fandom 🥹🥹
4:31 lol the FNAF 1 power out sound.
And 4:58 caught me off gaurd. Anyways good work
This is my first time watching any of the videos in the series and oh my god Cardin's accent took me off guard in the best way possible it fits him so much. He's the random ass character with a NY accent in the english dub 😭 Also everyone looks great! I love the new outfits! Can't wait to catch up :)
every episode just gets better you guys grinding hard fantastic job looking forward to see more!
While the fight seems a little bit blocky, but it has a charms. Best AU RWBY Series ever dude! Love the show and hope for more.
❤️🌹🤍❄️🖤🐈⬛💛☀️
What an amazing fight scene! I genuinely got chills at multiple points! And the dialogue has been consistently great, too.
2:24 Neo made a cute pew sound with her mouth!!! That's adorable!!!
