I've got my whole car to paint. Never really painted before and had issues with really bad fish eyes. It's a mind field and I'm really put off by all the issues that can occur.
I run into the same issue but mostly with this enamel single stage paint. 2 stage paint can have a similar issue but its easier to fix. Also it depends on the color and if you use any metallic. Its been a few years no,, usually around 400 unless I can go more. I did a single stage white on top later and worked in the 600 to 800 cuz dust and a few fish eyes Paint wasn't water based
keep up the good vids man love it. i think kids today dont know what there missing wen it comes to working with there hands
Agreed,, even if one doesnt work professionally, confidence, satisfaction not to mention a few buks on the side are always good things..

600 - 800 ? Are you using water based ? I think my last sand is with 400, wet. Then the color coat, single stage. hmmm

What did you use for primer?
Kirker Hi Build for black and gray was epoxy
