But why is it black? In europe you only get the blue one? I don‘t care about the color but here in the Caribbean where i am at the moment i only get the black one. I hope it is fully compatible with my batteries from my blue makita tools?
@@maxmotors9497 other than it's.. dimensions.. i only hear good things about it so i don't think its a bad purchase. Even if it is the largest multi tool on the market
The blue one looks hella cool too. I got the black one but probably going to be returning it. I almost ordered one from Japan but it was almost $300 extra just for customs.
💥💥 I own the Makita XMT03Z. It’s amazing. I just watched a comparison between the one you are showing vs the Milwaukee and he showed how often this Makita stall when plunge cutting straight into wood where the red one did not. 👊🏼
Have you tried the Flex one? It supposedly low vibration, but I can’t find many people who’ve compared it to anything else. I’ve been told that the Makita is lower vibration than even the Fein 700. I really want the pinless Starlock attachment :)
I just picked one up today. I'm disappointed the representative sold me the wrong blades. Due to theft policy at home Depot I didn't get to really look at it until checkout. They recommended Milwaukee universal which says it works with Makita but doesn't work on this due to the star lock system. Maybe works on the cheaper model.
Hey there! Thanks for the video! May I ask - do you know if there is any difference between the black and the blue multitool? I heard the black ones are called "Sub Compact" and which means they're lighter with a little less power. Is that true? I just purchased this exact same tool you show on the video.
How can you say “I have used plenty of multi-tool brands” then name dremel. Fein is the original and the comparison that matters. Milwaukee is also more relevant than dremel. Either way, I have makita lxt batteries so I ordered it. Im sure its great. Just saying. Dremel? Seriously? Have you ever actually used a multi-tool if fein isn’t the first words out of your mouth?
@@warped2875 GOLD advice. thank you!, Re: [Makita Multitool] bi-metal blades to last longer when slicing through nails, etc. turn it down to 1 (10k) from 6 (20k).
I was wondering the same thing. If you pause on the label it says made in china. I'm pretty sure makita only make the different coloured impact drivers in Japan these days.
You need to get the "Special Edition: Spinal Tap" version of Makita's oscillating multi-tool. You can turn that one up to eleven.
Hell ya! I need elevensies.
Bought it today ! Stoked
nice! just used it again today!
The black version looks really brilliant!
I do like it better than the blue

U.S. versions of Makita "Sub-Compact" tools are black.
Will add to the collection!
Its worth it! Not cheap, but definitely the best I've ever handled.
Gave a like because you didn't ask for a like (also good review too) x
Thanks! :)
how did they manage to make an even larger multitool than their last. crazy lol
Got me man this one is great though
@@GearheadDaily less vibration

That'd be the only thing keeping me from buying, but I think I'm finally sold. 😅 been watching this model for awhile

I don’t understand why other countries have the blue one regular one while USA gets the sub compact black multitool
Great question. No clue

Why care?
limited blade selection because of starlock
its decent enough for me and works a lot better.
Lovely.
But why do they leave customers out of the option to just take the black one... I want all of them stealth, or none. :/
wish i knew?
As the one other brand you mention that you have used was Dremel, I take it that you have not tried other brands?
I have tried a few others, but the dremel was the one that stuck out to me as tough on the hands.

Will it shave three-day stubble as good as the Norelco?
worth a try!
Not sure, but sure beats the Manscape 2.0

I can't say i have, but i can say this one is really smooth
Flex vibrates a lot. The Makita XMT04ZB reviewed here has the lowest vibration I ever felt in a multi-tool and quietest too

Makita tools but the Milwaukee M12 fuel oscilating multitool is better.

Yes, star locks are completely different. HD employees are slightly better than a brick wall in terms of usefulness.

Do you find yourself leaving it on a preferred speed setting or dial it in for each task? What speed did you have it on for that test cut?
I just set it to the fastest. Haven't need anything else yet.
