I bought one for my husband on Father's Day. The one he has is a cheap one that finally gave up the ghost, and I wanted to make sure he had the best grill my money could buy! He grills a lot (I grill occasionally), and I can't wait for him to use it! I'm also going to buy some upgrades for the grill before the 4th of July, so he'll be all set! 😃

katherine tufts oh yeah! I filmed this last week but wasn't able to get it up until now. Now I have to think of a gift for my own father!
I got the Weber Performer with the side table and I Loooove It. I was grilling at least 3 times a week. And I love all the cool accessories you can get for it. I highly recommend the Slow n Sear for smoking and the Weber Sear grate. I just love hanging out in the yard and grilling/smoking meat where before I would have been inside watching a movie or playing Xbox or Playstation. Best gift I've bought myself in years.

Very nice grill! Excellent choice. I have and old school equivalent to the weber performer which comes with a built in table top. If you close all the dampers and vents off it will choke off smother the fire out conserving fuel. basically saving it for later. to reuse. TFS! Happy Fathers Day to your Hubby!
elrabbitsbbq Thanks for that tip. I was worried about the grill staying hot for a long time after I was done cooking but with the vents closed it cooled down pretty quickly.

I don't like many people but she's cool in her own way. I'm about to buy the same grill but can't decide if I want black, green, bronze, or crimson. I know this is petty but any suggestions?

Have you smoked any ribs? I test ran it on Saturday and found to keep it under 300 I have to close the top vents. Any input?
+CashMopar I have not smoked on this grill. We have a smoker so we use that. I often grill with the top vents completely closed so I wouldn't be surprised.

I hear the black one holds up better near the hot coals and that the alternate colored ones can bulge a bit. Can't say for sure one way or the other though, but I went with the black one just in case on the recommendation of someone else, since I plan on mostly cooking indirectly with the coals to one side.

how long does it last
I have known Weber grills that last more than 20 years and still look and perform great. I expect this to last at least that long. I think they have a 10 year warranty

Love charcoal grills! My bf bought a big gas-grill... and it works wonders! But it's not quite the same. But it wasn't my choice anyways, since I'm never the one grilling.

Nice Video, I think you forgot to put a metal ring that fits between the temperature gauge and the grill.. But you probably lost it by now if you didn't notice :p
who knows, I just went out to look and it looks fine to me. Has been working and there were no extra pieces so I think I did it right
