In this video i go through what i think is the best trader guide for rdr2 currently out there. I have loads of trader role tips in rdr2, to make you the best at Red Dead Redemtion 2 as possible. I explained also how the trader role works in rdr2, as well as how rank up fast in the trader role, which i know a lot of people ask. Obviously, this is a trader role beginner guide, so even if you are completely new to this role, you will find it helpful :) I forgot to mention the trader role horse, but if anyone is reading this, then the horse is actually pretty good, but keep in mind to only buy the rank 20 horse, and none of the others. Because they are not as good as the rank 20. The best way to get trader materials in rdo right now is to use the Naturalist, the Naturalist role has become a big part of the Trader role, in that you can get legendary animals, and then use them as trader materials. Really nice. I show you how to start the trader role in rdr2. As well as how to attain the trader role itself (Psst, it is really easy). I showcase the best camp location for the trader role, even though this does not matter much. There is a bunch of trader role unlocks in rdo, and many of them are actually pretty good, in this video i show some of them. Really, there is no trader role xp method, not as far as i know, the only way that helps is to never stop the grind 💪

Best location for new characters IMO is around evergreen ranch. I find more deer ands bucks as well as the respawn rate. Not to mention geese ducks herbs boar. The animal kill dailies are super easy to do in this area.
I think you meant Emerald Ranch? If so, then yes it is a good place to hunt all kinds of animals. The whole of Heartlands is so. However, for me, I prefer outside of Blackwater or around Colter.
Your right on the ranch. But the great plains. The buffalo have lower value than the prong horns and elk. Elk and prong have the same value. Black bear have less value than all three. Grizzlies have more value. The cougars even with the 2 spawn points still don't compare to the buck repawn points at emerald not to mention the doe. The repawn is almost walk away and comeback. There also is a florida panther that spawns near thieves landing but its even more rare. Also 2 rare moose spawns in tall trees. The spots usually spawn a bull elk but occasionally a moose of any rating. And both jave wolves but the money value is only like 6.45 per pelt off the top of my head. I made a spread sheet for myself of all animal values and their parts. The trader perks as you level bring these values up. But deer rank just below cougars.
Sounds like you have done your research! I usually go for the deer or the bucks when hunting in the great plains, not very often I go for buffalos. Still, both places are very good for hunting.
You have to go to gaptooth ridge it has the shortest delivery routes you can get almost 5000 do per hour

Grinded for hrs multiple times to fill the bar all the way up. Thinking I'd get 700 or so for the long distance deliveries. Did that about twice, then realized I was only getting 60 for my delivery because I don't have a wagon yet. Man that pissed me off
Thank you so much yesterday I was trying to get the trader roll and the game kept on telling me I had a letter from Crips but I kept getting killed by players because I accidentally got on their horse but now but I know I need to get the letter I can go and and earn some money

You should put your camp at emerald ranch and kill all the 3 star animals quicker then legendary animals use a hunter wagon aswell

I want to buy a hunting wagon cause that's what I love doing. Most is hunting on there, trying to find rare animals and get the perfect pelts
When this game dropped I ran a couple mission and bounty things but the fish n hunt......yeah I'm cool just fishing and hunting on this for real get the fishing pole and lures...the gold buys were worth it for me on the lures Got a varment a rolling rock sniper and a bow and arrow. Camp near a town for butcher and near camp for trader. Great video I haven't played this since launch.....got me missing the field and game. I'm gonna have to come back now great video! Ps there weren't wagons back then..had to jack them and watch the game fall out the back trying to get them to market or the fire lol good times....... APPRECIATE THOSE WAGONS PPL! It's waaay easier now I'm sure

When I kill the legendary animals in the naturalist missions should I skin the animals or bring the whole body back to camp which brings in more materials and money? Amazing video man appreciate the information
In legendary animal missions the two options you have is either sedate the animal, or kill and skin it. If you kill it you have to skin it also to finish the mission, so you can’t actually get the legendary animal carcass. I will have a separate naturalist guide where I will touch on this, but basically you kill and skin the animal, then give it to cripps at once, or put it into the hunting wagon to save it for later. I would probably say that it is still the same locations as I mention in the video. Don’t believe much has changed. Locations like the Great Plains, are still great locations.

I’m confused, if you give all the legendary animals to cripps, how do you level up naturalist? That’s an expensive role to not progress it, also how do you give them to guss so your drip is on point? 🤔
You don't have to give all the legendary animals to Cripps. I would level up the Naturalist first (to rank 20), then buy the Trader. If you already have the Trader, then in my opinion you should focus on getting the Naturalist to rank 20 and then getting back to the Trader. It is basically up to what you prioritize.

@@krassi14you get a letter from cripps telling you to meet him at the general store in valentine. You have to read the letter first. If you dont have enough gold during the cutscene then you can go to him anytime and buy the butchers table
The problem i have with the natruralist role is the cool down timer effects all legendary animals even the ones that have nothing to do with natrulist role.
Very true, however, it is very good when you combine it with the Trader even though it has some annoying features.

No, if you are able to, do not skin the animal. Cripps doesn’t accept skinned animals, he wants them plain.
How do you avoid people killing you when doing long distance runs? Lately every time I try to do long distance deliveries I feel like people have been trolling me, killing me relentlessly over and over and taking my wagon and driving it halfway across the map
Always load all your weapons with explosive rounds when making deliveries. Also, once you get your wagon moving, aim your gun and look around during the entire journey. When you aim while the wagon is moving, the wagon will drive itself and follow the route without crashing, but when you stop aiming the wagon will stop itself and you will have to move it again.
So when a player approaches, you will already be aiming so shooting them will be easy. And since you will have loaded your explosive shots, it will be easy to stop them with one shot. When shooting, do not aim for the player, aim for his horse. This will leave the player stranded and he won't be able to chase after because horses that are killed take a long time to be usable again.
You can't avoid it unless you get into a solo lobby for the long delivery, which is not hard to do.
The game encourages other player to attack and steal your wagon once you're in route, you become a big red dot on other players map that are close to you. If you are attacked, killed, robbed, you can just change lobbies before the timer runs out, press start, select online, then Camp, and you'll be back at camp with your full goods waiting to be delivered so you can try again.

What weapons are you using? Does quality matter when trading to Cripps?
I usually use the Bolt Action rifle to hunt with. If you headshot with it then you will not destroy the quality of the carcass.
Yes the quality very much matters, go bolt action for medium/big animals, and varmint for small
A good location if u have bolt action is the byuo because u can get perfect alcator pelt u might need express roads if u need it go to fort breden the basement will have it

Great! Many people find the collector role boring, which it can be sometimes, but if you find it fun then that is solid since it makes you so much money as well.
Does the trader bussiness give gold im looking to start off with trader but im being told i should start with bounty im not sure, plz help
The Trader role does not give any gold. I recommend to not start with the Trader role. Start with the Bounty Hunter role or the Collector role first. And then do not buy the Trader before you have also bought the Naturalist.

If you have already met Cripps, and said no to the role. Then to buy it later, you will have to go to camp and then you can buy the Butcher Table/Trader role from there.
Between the cool down on legendary mission and irregularity of spawns in free roam, and the grind to even get naturalist to rank 5 is this the best way though? 🤔

@@dominickgibbs6503 like I said by the time you wonder around free roam hoping for a legendary to spawn, which is a random event you’re better off to just go fill your wagon like 5 times with regular animals and donate them rather than waste time looking for that legendary. Trader has double XP right now, why don’t you try it his way and try it mine and see what gets you there faster🤷♂️

I feel as though you're struggling so hard to hide your Norwegian accent which makes you struggle to speak English. Just talk naturally, there's no shame in having an accent.
I’m talking naturally. I could put on an American accent or English accent, but I prefer just speaking naturally. This is a few months old video, and now I speak much easier when recording. Remember, there is the pressure of talking English as well as recording. Which I had not mastered yet a few months ago.

I noticed that a full wagon can sell between $600 and 1k why is that? Does it have anything to do with 1 or 3 star animals?
1k is with bonus weeks, you might have sold when the trader role was double money, rest of the time its 625 dollars for à long delivery
