It’s not like he has a very complicated voice. Aside from the lines in his battle Dagoth says things in a fairly neutral manner. That’s part of why it sounds so convincing.
The same voice actor also had some voice lines as Sheogorath in Morrowind, which is an additional 1-2 minute sample of voice. Probably helps with this amount of smoothness.
@@MysteriousSignal but is it really helpful? I mean, I don`t remember how Sheogorath sounds in Morrowind, but the whole point is that this should sound like Dagoth Ur, not like Sheogorath. They share voice actor, but what about intonations? The way of speaking?
@@SansPapyrus1 There's a few videos on YT that had taken audio from an old cassette narration from the 80s and polished them up a bit to be uploaded. The quality is a bit scuffed but in a way that is, how I personally feel anyways, more thematically appropriate considering the narrators tone and inflection. This sounds like a much more clean, and more bassy version of those 80s narrations. Look up "At The Mountains of Madness" and one of the first videos should be just a creepy pic of Lovecraft and that's the narration I'm talking about.
Even my man Lovecraft himself couldn't keep himself from penning a story where the protagonist scrawls "the window the window" on a piece of paper instead of escaping an imminent threat
The way you know this is a HP lovecraft story is the very first sentence is the main character telling how traumatized he is by the story he is about to tell.
Thank you for starting the trend of Dagoth Ur reading HP Lovecraft. It's my first exposure to HP Lovecraft other than vaguely knowing about Cthulhu, and it's been nice to listen to a lot of his works.
I've been listening to a bunch of these Dagoth AI videos and I've thought that his voice is quite similar to Wayne June, who narrates of a lot of H.P. Lovecraft audiobooks (and Darkest Dungeon), so this was the perfect thing to come across.
I had this idea like a month ago when I first read Dagon, but now this is here. Now, in holy shitness, I must confess my pure amazement upon this recreation.
I can't believe I live in a world where AI voice synthesis has advanced to the point where we can make a character with seven lines of spoken dialogue read Lovecraft. This is blessed, a gift from the internet gods, that will inevitably be misused by the stupid and short-sighted.
Let's hope the Company can legally Protect them from Misuse. Technology like this should not be limited only because of the acts of the feeble and stupid and racist.
@@taelrmade Pretty sure that would open up a huge can of worms. All the sudden, you can't become a voice actor or narrator because you were born with a similar voice to an already existing narrator.
Love this can you do John Wayne reads Psalm 27 so i can meditate dead serious, also Shemp Howard reading Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner the poem not the iton maiden song though either would be interesting pretty please I don’t even have a computer or the internet just a cheap phone and cheep beer
i love this mans voice. so glad ai can give us more of it, though, it does make me a bit sad that it isnt the real man doing it. wonders of technology, a double edged sword isnt it
Love this, and I love papa Dagoth, but I gotta be real. If you want *anything* dramatically read to you, it's gotta be Joshua Graham. Just finished listening to him go through the Book of Revelations, and holy shit, he'd be perfect for Lovecraft
It's remarkable that a machine can do this - but seriously, listen to a good human being read this story and I think you'll see humanity still has a considerable edge when it comes to voice overs.
Never ask:
-A woman's age
-A man's earnings
-How Dagoth Ur named his Khajiit
Well he is a dark elf so it's okay.
N'wah Man is a good boy
The fact that so many people actually got this reference causes me great joy
lemme guess, his cat is named "N'wah"
@@notmojangmine…do you have a pass? And if so, where can I buy one?
it blows me away that AI can do this. Dagoth only had like 7 lines in the whole game and the AI could do all this with it. Amazing
@Moonlight "COME TO ME THROUGH FIRE AND WAR"

Holy shit this needs to be done more. I'd totally listen to more stories narrated by Daddy Dagoth, especially Lovecraft.
Hard agree, I love this a lot

I would watch the HELL out of ASMR like this
Innsmouth please!
Papa dagoth*
Please have him read other Lovecraft stories, his voice is great for it
Here ya go

This shit is incredibly pleasant. I'd listen to Dagoth Ur read Lovecraft anyday
i never thought that i'd have a physical copy of dagon and have it read to me by dagoth ur. i love this timeline
As fan of morrowind and dagon, this shook me. My cousin is a book narrator. This will trouble to him. I scared for my cuz.
@@Kopie0830 Yeah, AI gonna be stealing a lot of jobs
This is hypnotic.
Dagoth Ur works great for Lovecraft's works!
Where are my Dagoth Ur audiobooks I would pay good money to the Sixth House and Tribe Unmourned for more of this.
Unironically this is a fantastic reading. I’d love to hear more Lovecraft from Dagoth Ur.
And More you shall have

I literally want this man's voice for every single fucking audiobook ever made.
The AI has a pleasant speaking cadence, very good for audiobooks.
“Come Narevar, let us read together… with my powers i have discovered a book that i believe you would enjoy”
"Dagoth Ur finds murkmire in Black Marsh"
All of these are great because it just sounds like he's visiting somewhere else in tamriel.
Sounds unironically better than many actual professional audio book narrations.
The voice was done by a professional voice actor, so it's believable.
😢
I dream of the future of AI generated audio books with different actors for each character
Please make more. Ever since AI voiced The grand Dagoth Ur this truly opens up Many doors for epic narration.
Thank you for starting the trend of Dagoth Ur reading HP Lovecraft. It's my first exposure to HP Lovecraft other than vaguely knowing about Cthulhu, and it's been nice to listen to a lot of his works.
the haunter of the dark
Dagoth Ur is a fantastic narrator. I am lying in bed listening to this and I exposed my eyes to the light just to type this. It’s very calming indeed.
How is this so good? More please.
AI is fucking nuts i love it
0:06 day 1 without zaza
Shit, this AI company should branch into audiobooks, that was pretty good.
Now i want dagoth to read all of Lovecraft's works
Perfect to sleep to. Yup a peaceful sleep...
Dagoth is Bout to voice every book, what a grand and intoxicating innocence!
Pls make more of these I'd love to hear every Lovecraft story being narrated by Dagoth Ur
Dagoth's voice works very well for a Lovecraft tale.
We need more of this! Dagoth Ur has such an amazing voice for narration, and the AI did a great job.
This is amazing I have seen ai voice mods for morrowind lately this truly is a modding Renaissance for morrowind
"Do not think from my slavery to Skooma that I am a weakling or a degenerate."
Oh man I want the horror at Red Hook. Seems like the sort of story that would resonate with Dagoth Ur. lol
Come, nerevar. Come. Look upon my collection of all of H.P. Lovecrafts books.
Could you do this with Mancar Camoran? That would be mythopoeic
I want Dagoth Ur to narrate my untimely demise
I kinda want to hear more Lovecraft stories read by Raziel or Kain from LoK series.
This A.I tech can actually replace Justin Roland
I've been listening to a bunch of these Dagoth AI videos and I've thought that his voice is quite similar to Wayne June, who narrates of a lot of H.P. Lovecraft audiobooks (and Darkest Dungeon), so this was the perfect thing to come across.
Same, I've been trying to go through all of them. It's great.
Dagoth visits Apocrypha
I had this idea like a month ago when I first read Dagon, but now this is here. Now, in holy shitness, I must confess my pure amazement upon this recreation.
Dagon Ur
Please make more this is truly enchanting
The world needs more of Dagoth narrating Lovecraftian creepy pastas.
I would enjoy more
What a time to be alive.
This is the near future of audiobooks.
Thus came on autoplay but I had a feeling this was Lovecraft. He loves his ocean
Please do more!!!, this is my new sleep serum
Incredible, we need even more of this.
This is very calming

I clicked because i thought it was a minute or something of him talking but i listened to the whole thing it was really pleasant and captivating
This is incredible
as soon as this video ended it played dagoth ur reading the navy seal copypasta. it was jarring.
the moon is waning and gibbous
RIP Simon Vance's career.
RIP Audio book narrators. They'll read one short story and then an A.I will be able to read anything else in their voice.
maybe voices can be copywrittem.

I've wanted exactly this
We need more Dagoth Ur reading audiobooks.
Now make him read _Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius_
Wait this isn't a meme, this is actual litterature

More of these plz i want dagoth read me a creepy pasta
This is great!
Curious to hear Sten from Dragon Age: Origins reading something. Something short, of course. Maybe poetry.
“Then I saw it!” 😂😂😂😂
Pls more books by the Dagonator!

Ok this is amazing... Now he needs to read Arthur Jermyn but it's about arg*nians.
Please do more!!
I'll let Dagoth Ur into my house.
Ok, I`l subscribe if I can get more Dagoth Ur reading (or this content in general)
