Last week I learned B12 is in fermented food. It's a wonderful world fermenting food btw!
Fermented foods like miso, tempeh etc do contain a bit of b12 if made properly. The issue is they are not always fermented in a way that does so certain products with those names don’t contain enough b12 to replace supplements. Also, people may not eat the necessary quantity of those foods often enough to get the right amount of b12. Furthermore, given you can get a 9 month supply of b12 for less than $10, it is much more cost effective to purchase the shots than to try and get it through your diet. Especially when talking about children.
I am saving this video for future inspirations,as being a pre diabetic,i am leaning heavily on plants, sad i will never go full vegan, a Midwest USA diet can never be discarded, but changes i am doing...Thank You
It’s wonderful to hear that leaning more towards plants has been helping you, Curt. ^_^ I’m honored to have served as inspiration.
Sometimes you have to lose something to gain something better. A door has to shut before a new door can open.
I wholeheartedly agree! It’s always the way
As someone who isn’t yet vegan, your video has really helped me be better aware of some of the things to keep in mind ahead of time. I really love how you gently helped people who are critical of veganism understand both what it is and how harmful and silly their comments can be. I hope veganism can be more mainstream and understood. Your video is exactly what more people need to see.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words, Xochi! I wish you the best of luck on your journey, whether it leads you to veganism or not. ^_^
