Final group size was a heart breaking 0.764"..... The first 8 rounds measured 0.484". I wasn't sure if I would even be on paper at 100 yards so I shot at 50 yards, I should have shot 100, it would have been fine....
Hey, good effort bloke. Nice shooting. I've been using 10 shot groups for some years & that's a pretty darn convincing effort. Yeah, I know by rights it's gotta be exact but, then again, that group was darn close enough by any other measure. I enjoyed the vid.
@@fourthhorseman4531 Yeah! Me too! I've been range shooting for fifty years and he's one of the worst prima donna's I've ever seen! 🤣 We used to take the piss out of anyone carrying on like that. 😏
Thanks for the kind words. There is a zen aspect to it for sure, if you are in the USA I can't recommend Appleseed Project enough- they put on low cost rifle marksmanship events all over the country. I once got the real deal zen experience shooting Appleseed, I was so steady in prone the only movement I saw in my sights was my heartbeat!!! Great program and instruction.
Measurements are taken from the center of the bullet impact, this levels the playing field between a .204 projectile through .338 or whatever else one might be measuring groups for... There are a few other ways to measure but this was the defined way for the published rule set of the 1MADL challenge.
You're right you would of had a chance at 100 but you can always try again, right? Anyway you slice it that's a nice group out of ANY AR! If I could shoot 1" groups at 50yrds (2MOA) I would be happy. Love the practicality of your shooting bag! I remember as a kid using a friends shoulder was the best rest we had with a BB gun or 22lr. I just got some cheaper bags and haven't even shot since they aren't tall enough to shoot prone.
What was the final group size? It looked really small to me but im used to shooting at 100 meters

Are you sure you don't want me to hold an umbrella over you, so you can be really comfortable before you start shooting this challenge??? Jeez. 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, I honestly thought he was never going to break that first shot.

Amazing shooting!! I could never take this much time between shots, absolute zen! I would be surprised if I could even get close to 2 moa :')

Looks like about 2MOA.
Well done, so close.
I'm not into guns, but that was mighty impressive!
Thanks!
50 yards off a bag. Those squares are 1” squares so your group was 1” at 50 yards = 2 MOA. Just sayin

Thats a nice range, its been a long time since I last shot at that specific range.

He's finding / checking / adjusting / verifying his N.P.O.A.
possibly the most important aspect of rifle marksmanship
Is your woman under the sand? 😳
Shooting in CG?
Yep!
I thought so. I used to live there.
