Ahhhhh, another dilemma has docked on the EUC shores, and it’s the idea of soulless engineering. This reminds me of the Mazda Zoom commercials. At first I thought of those commercials as just useless advertising ploys, but they really had meaning. The Zoom was the SOUL. Is there a delicate balance of adhering to this universal code, and hyper engineering? James Brown would say yes.
By all accounts the Inmotion V11 is the most complete wheel EVER. It checks all of the boxes. The question remains do we want the V11 life partner, or the one night stand S-18? I like my feet rubbed, and my breakfast hot, so I am choosing the V-11. Many Thanks
V11 is boring but dependable like a good wife. She’ll take good care of you. S18 is hot as hell but high maintenance and she don’t care about you. Veteran Sherman is that girl in the red dress and I am that distracted boyfriend.

I am not sold on the Sherman due to the lack of suspension. My next will definitely have suspensions. Between the two wheels that are out there right now I’m leaning toward the V 11. I’m going to wait and see what Gotway does with their new wheels and make my decision. If Gotway doesn’t come out with a wheel in the next three months I am going with the INMOTION V 11 for sure.
Kind of the impression I had going in... they, meaning the V11 and S18, are only "better" or "worse" depending on your use case.
I can see the V11 being the ultimate longer distance communter and "luxury" cruiser for the more conservative riding croud.
I can see the S18 being the ultimate technical off-road beast/stunt rider and solid mid-distance commuting thrown in... with likely a group of serious aftermarket mod enthusiasts developing given the more moduar suspension design.
Really... it's a win for both KS and IM.
And the Veteran Sherman for the speed demons/Gotway fanboys.

Got to love it Micky, fantastic review loved how you raved about the motor, that alone almost sold me, but since Im an old rocker, I still need to hear more on what Duf had said about that BT speaker/side marker light kit, that would completely sell it for me. As you may have gathered Im an older rider, & the V11 seems like the next wheel for me & my style of riding, but if I were younger I'd definitely go for the S18 but at my age I really don't see myself doen much off roading or trail blazing so I believe the V11 is the smart choice that will give me & my bones, the longevity I'll need for the duration of my journey. Again Micky great review & Great show with tha Black Cobra, you both are great guys 😜👍

Nice review but I would take issue with your comment about not riding it in the rain. It is ip55 rated as are the other Inmotion wheels and you should be able to ride in the rain without issue. My V10F has the same rating and I have ridden it in down pours with no problem.
I would be surprised it this wasn't every bit as rain resistant as the other inmotion models and they are probably the best in the industry when it comes to protection from rain.
That puddle i talked about? It’s a serious issue. Really a design flaw. Ip55 also isn’t all that amazing. The batteries are well sealed but the control board worries me.
@@evXNYC You're apparently the only reviewer who think so. IP55 is more than any other mfg. does and indicates it can handle rain. You should actually read the IP55 standards, they may not be 'amazing' but they do indicate the ability to handle typical rain storms.
evX Thank you for this solid review. For some reason I just knew...like I’m psychic or this was deja vue...that this was how the review was going to go, in terms of the suspension. But it is really nice that the rest of the wheel is really top notch. Even the speed reaching 34mph is a big upgrade for Inmotion.
What has really made me respect Inmotion was how quickly they have listened to the customer base. Apparently the production model will be better than the test version you road. That’s fantastic! King Song on the other hand (hey King Song, you reading this?) produced a wheel that would be the slowest and shortest distance ever. What was so hard about giving the S18 60 mile solid range? BTW put some nuts and bolts on the black padding! What, no pride for the S18? There was nothing wrong with building the EUC around the suspension. King Song’s failure on the S18 was not giving us at least 34mph and SOLID 60 mile range at 20mph.
My favorite part of you V11 review was about the motor. That gave me high hope that if I was to go with Inmotion, it would be like getting the GW MSP but 3mph slower with a super kick ass motor and some suspension to car for my knees and lower back. Thanks, Micky!
They can't just magically give the S18 more range lol. It would need more batteries, which means a bigger and heavier wheel, and that's not something you want when carving through twisty offroad trails.
ruskeee Obviously when I am asking for more range, I am asking for more battery. And of course I know I’ll be getting more weight. IMHO getting longer range wheel with good suspension is worth the nearly 60LBS weight.
@@letssamplethis7641 The S18 is planned to have an supplemental, attachable, external battery; it's just not available yet.
Great vid. Might wait for the next generation and see if KS can increase the battery/range, body shell toughness, headlight, speakers etc. The Sherman looks fantastic with speed and range, but 100 miles seems a bit of overkill. If you really needed to go that far, would probably use a car or motorbike.

Very nice and fair review, I liked a lot. And I agree with you, the wheel is very nice, but kind of boring and definitely S18 is the sexiest wheel today. I really would get it just for the looks, haha! But still, the V8f is the perfect wheel for MY needs.
My head says V11, my heart (and something a bit lower) says S18

ice fishing poles are perfect for riding a unicycle. just use a carabiner to hook it up to your back pack and your on your way. you dont have the same casting power but ive caught a 30" redfish on a 26" pole after riding my wheel down to the pier

So suspension isn't as good as the s18 which i think we all knew but how much different is it compared to a wheel without any suspension?

Having any kind of suspension is going to be awesome compared to a normal wheel.
I don't need suspension, i don't jump in rocks and in offroad i feel good without it (pressure in tire makes suspension too). Construction of suspension is not good for crushing. i'm waiting august Monster Pro debut.

Regarding rain - can you show the spots that you find problematic? I mean, it has IP55 rating...

No one else has mentioned this as an issue including those riding it in the rain and as it has the same IP rating as all the other Inmotion wheels I'd really be surprised if rain was an issue at all.
I want them to spice up this wheel with side LEDs. Then I will buy it
Technically you might be able to do that mod yourself.
I much prefer a nicely designed quality headlight and taillight. Looks more like a serious premium machine than a toy with flashy lights. That's just my opinion though.

Every reviewer got the same pre-prodiction model. It’s not a prototype. But it’s super close to the final version. Only minor differences for the final version. (Well aside from the motor upgrade).

Interesting that you found the net experience boring. Have you teased out why that might be? Had you already ridden the Veteran?
My thing is always speed!! And when it comes to this tech, the s18 was more exciting but not as much as the new GotWay EX.

Did you try riding on one leg on the V11 and if so, is it uncomfortable to lean against because it's higher than most wheels?
I like to do basic freestyle (as an extra, my main goal is a fun ride) and could do so with my KS 18L, less with my 16x because the body of the wheel is too low for comfort. Wondering about the V11 because it seems so tall against your legs. Thanks, Man! Cheers

evX thanks Man! So excited about this wheel. Can’t wait to ride it! Your videos made it a clear choice for me between the V11 and S18. To me the S18 really lacks range, stopping power (you’re the only one who mentioned it 👍) and water protection. I hope the V11 won’t bore me like you said it bores you! I have a 16x for Europe (I travel for work), my favourite wheel so far, but will be happy to trade my MSuper V3 S+ for a V11. My first wheel was a V8 and I loved it but I outgrew it pretty quickly. It cut off when I went over an unexpected bump close to 30kmh luckily I had all my protective gear. It only ruined my clothes... this is a great year for EUCs. I wonder what GotWay will come up with. Let’s hope they have trolleys like Kingsong. It makes a huge difference in public transport and when grocery shopping. Anyway, thanks again. Keep up the great work!

Looks heavy, boring, and just bland. Kinda reminds me of a Buick. Gives you a little luxury, but is subtle and for the old guy that doesn't really care about anything else other than going from point A to point B.

they were used to be on all the time i dont know what happened i only been riding my v11 for about 2months now.
How do you find the height of the wheel itself? I'm about 5'6", and the V11 looks pretty tall. Do you notice that height while riding or has this been a non-issue for you?
Only issue i had was some of my pants inseam would get caught once in a awhile when dismounting. But otherwise once on the wheel it doesn’t feel big.

V11 is better than S18, because chances are s18 riders will crash their euc more and it will be hard to sell it to upgrade 🤫🤪
I am new to this particular type of electrical vehicle mainly i ride high powered electric skateboards. It’s there a beginner mode?
You can limit your speed, and customize how the wheel responds to you, but there’s isn’t really a beginner mode.

175lb with 80psi? Duf used 150psi and he's roughly your weight and he found it great for road and roughs, said the higher psi made the suspension more responsive. Probably should try that too.
Nah it was perfect for me. His terrain was different. I would stick to the guide they sent when it comes to street riding. Off road you could pump more in, to taste.
Yea the swamp was non-stop obstacles. However when I did the the long road rides later a lower PSI would have felt better for sure.
How is it going up hills? Will the motor cut out? At what grade
You would slow to a slow crawl before your motor failed, and even then the wheel would beep at you to get off.
I think this wheel should handle a 30°+ grade

Headlight is bright sure... BUT ITS FOOKIN USELESS! only thing its good for is destroying my night vision. Would probably be better without it. because it points STRAIGHT DOWN when you are moving at any kind of speed..
Great video, by the way. Another question I have: how easy is it to grip the stock pads with your knees to push the torque of the wheel?
Not a lot of grip. So i would suggest getting anything to give you more friction.
Not a lot of surface to adhere power pads to, but we've done it to the metal strip down the center of the saddle and it works good enough.
