I love my V11, and just passed the 2500 mile mark. I love it for everyday use in Chicago and really hope that Inmotion continues to support this slimmer, commuter focussed wheel. When I'm ready to upgrade from the V11, I don't wan to be stuck with a 80-100lb wheel that I can't easily walk into a restaurant or a friend's house.
eh... That's how they've presented and advertised it, I guess, but it seems worse than most alternatives. I'd take an S16, T4 every day over this - same batteries, much better suspension setups that float only the motor and not the batteries etc.
My V11 is two years old now, 20,000mi on it and still kickin' it's such a fantastic wheel, I'd never replace it for the Y but what this shows is inmotion knows the V11 was a hell of a wheel if they were willing to revamp it.
Most people looking at this are likely cross shopping it with an S16/pro. I still believe the 18XL is the ultimate incognito commuter wheel for people that don't need suspension, but the lack of maintained road surfaces in my city compelled me to scoop up an S16 pro + hybrid tire specifically to tackle multi-terrain.
Yes S16 is a good option especially given the weight. However there’s been a few reports of BMS issues so I’d be careful. KS does not have a good track record.
@@official.electricdreams luckily here in the states eWheels did a preship inspection weeding out a handful of firmware problem wheels that were remedied before sending them here. So far batch 1 hasn’t had any hiccups, my batch 2 arrives next week 🙏

Speaking of track record, Inmotion isn't doing so well themselves. The V14 has multiple problems at launch and the V11y appears to have issues as well. It looks like eWheels has even stopped selling the V11y so I am assuming the issue(s) is pretty severe. Update - it looks like the V11y is listed again on eWheels as of this afternoon.
I ride 18xl and i absolutely love it. The only thing i'm starting to miss is a little bit more speed,when driving in trafic. Having quite a dilema what to buy next. I don't want 40 kgs beast, it's just not practical for me.
Research the Begode T4 pro! Very similar weight but more power, 100v and a much better Suspension because if a linkage system. It's also probably the wheel that is the easiest to maintain together with unholy amounts of third party mods including a Fairing system. The stock suspension is already very good and easy to adjust but if you want you can upgrade it to a spring shock to get even more adjustability and basically no maintenance.

Are they legal/illegal, partially legal(illegal but police wont stop you?) or smth else? Because i used to ride it daily for years here, but now it will definitely draw way too much attention if im going to be the only person in the city doing this. im talking about police attention of course :) would be great if you could clarify the situation in Shenzhen and Shanghai. thanks in advance
Good video, thanks! As for any Inmotion EUC, the dynamic max speed is adjusted not only by your battery level but your settings. For example, despite 100% of battery level, if setting "pedal hardness" below 65º you will get a 5km/h lower max dynamic speed. I like having Raptor, the A/C valves on the suspension, the better bearing seals on the motor, faster charging, better pedals, faster speed, more torque and the front light's angle able to be adjusted. But I am not hot for the lower pedal height. With the air suspension, we could always achieve lower heights by just adjusting the pressure between the chambers. The 85mm travel is more than enough and it is easy to extend (thou I have not had the need). However, I miss on V11Y the original speaker with sound packs rather than a buzzer, and the USB-C. Also improved original pads separating some for the saddle and jump-pads. I had no issues attaching the original Inmotion Powerpads to the saddle as long as pre-treating the surface with alcohol and a rug until removing the shinny outlayer. My V11 got so much better when replacing the stock tire by a Heidenau K66, I would definitvely replace it on V11Y. Most riders want an EUC for a small and practical vehicle. A multi-purpose EUC with less maintenance than linkage systems and accessible parts. That FH30 from PIDZOOM is great. For commuting it works great as a motion alarm. When we are forced to leave the EUC outside a store. 🤣

The first batch of v11y has a serious marriage! It stops charging . There are a lot of such messages from new owners. The problem is in the BMS, they change the battery under warranty.
I see the V13 just hit its lowest price ever in the US. That is pretty attractive, too. Still the V14 seems a step in a more positive direction, at least with the suspension. I look forward to the V13 successor.
Lets hope it has hydraulic suspension instead of the spring stanchions. The v14 should have been the first dual suspension wheel but budgets are what they are.

It's definitely more involved to do a tire change because the Raptor controller has more wires that need other parts to be disassembled first, you have to cut a few zip ties routing the wires and the way they're routed makes it a pain...
Finally, a V11y review! @Electric Dreams, would you pick the V11y over the S16 Pro as a beginner commuter and why? I like the S16 Pro because of the slightly stronger motor, 50s battery and more compact shape.
I like the larger tyre on the V11Y, plus it goes faster. It's a smooth ride, well balanced and excellent beginner wheel. You can place your helmet through the trolley handle, when walking it around.
Is it more robust than the old V11? Is the handle suitable for someone 6'3"? Is it waterproof? I like the look of the wheel and I'm definitely in their "target demographic", only using my Nikola+ as transport rather than wanting to ride down steps and over jumps. I really like that manufacturers can now show the condition of the battery but, if a cell looks like it's going bad, can you do anything about it? Just curious really and why would you buy it over the S16 for example?

I love my Nikola+ but it's the constant niggling worry about battery fires that makes me think of changing. Changing to another Begode wheel won't get rid of the worry. The S16 Pro also looks a little small in pictures but it's difficult to tell without a side by side comparison.

I'm confused about v11 suspension, does it move the entire unit with a shell, controller and lights up and down instead of just the wheel? Unlike other EUCs.
The pedals on the v11y float with your body (attached through a saddle) and are independent of the motor/chassis/battery combination. Whereas on most other suspension EUCs, the pedals float with your body/chassis/battery and the motor/wheel combination are 'unsuspended'. It's a reasonable suspension (unlike Kingsong's garbage roller-sliders) but the lack of compression dampening and rebound dampening are what causes the infamous pogo-stick effect that can throw you off the pedals if you're unprepared. Most new riders like this wheel even if the price is a little high.
Did they at least make an extension or something to pump up air to the top chamber of the suspension without removing the the top plastic? That was a pain in the neck. I have a Sherman S and looking for a smaller euc and got my eyes on this new V11Y (I am a previous owner of the V11)
I would love a scaled-down Sherman-S on a 14" wheel with hydraulic suspension and a BMS. That would be a good beginner wheel if they could work out the modular batteries.
As a master pro rider I've found I'm only at 50kph 99% of the time anyway. I have a 1000wh wheel because it's 50kph anyway and so convenient. So yeah a 1500wh suspension wheel is very cool.
Will not deal with the suspension leak of this wheel again. And sides panels break to easily from pads. It’s great for for a first wheel because how narrow it is but s19 would be better
Nope. All KS suspension wheels are suspect for at least 2 years due to the excessive need for maintenance of the roller-sliders, which should have been abandoned with the S-20 two years ago. This could be a disaster for KS having propagated an extraordinary design failure into ALL of their suspension line-up. Maybe the Falcon will be interesting but it's too soon to tell. The v11y is a proven wheel (although the kickstand still sucks and is dangerous) but the price is still ridiculous at $2.4k usd.
@@grb1969 Its my opinion, I do not thin k the inmotion wheel is as good as it . I own a s22 Most under-rated wheel a ex-30 & lynx and the disrespect the s22 gets is crazy .. It is so light and I am 6'4 260lbs .. it doesnt have the most torque but the way it moves cant be beat ... Not one problem for me & I kept the suspension w/o rollers on a batch 1. The onlyu inmotion wheel I would use is the v14 since it has torque but thats me.

I love it and I went & vbought a ex-30 & now a Lynx but while all the wheels I listed are great and the latter 2 have more torque the s22 has charms of its own that none of my other wheels have... its very hard to explain it but when you ride it you know exactly what I mean. Good Luck & hope you do get one used as I am sure you will love it. The thing I realized is I dont need to buy new wheels thinking they are going to be revolutionary. If you have a newer wheel I feel (unless you have the $$ to burn) there is no reason you need to upgrade as the performance diff isnt that great unless you ride at 50+mph & I dont I c ruise around 30-40mph and slower so this is something I realized recently that at my size 6'4 260+ lbs & age 51 I no longer eed to go fast like I did when I rode street bikes... Inmotion seems to be having a hard time selling this wheel and rightfully so with everything else that is out there. Kingsong's S16 Pro wheel has actually garnered a lot of attention and quite some sales already and seems to be well liked already with good specs. This around the same price as the S16 Pro with lesser speed just doesn't meet the needs
@@mynameisMelt the S16 Pro has the same suspension setup as the S22 and what everyone will tell you and agree with is that the S22 has the best suspension feeling out of all the wheels. That is the reason despite the issues it still is the most used by some of the most well-known trail riders.
Nice, the s22 is too big and still too stiff... I might like this wheel... All EUCs should never by ridden faster than 40 km/h... I only use an air horn nothing else will do...
$2.4k?! They gotta be out of their minds. This wheel is stuck in 2021, such minor upgrades. The Extreme and Commander mini are both way way better values. Big battery, way better suspension, less upgrades needed out of the box, and not super old/outdated 84V. I legit feel bad for anyone that buys this wheel
Yeah I'm super annoyed at InMotion for their permanent sale pricing. 1800 (1750 with the first time buyer discount) is the actual price for the wheel. They're not fooling anyone. Their customers feel scammed if they accidentally pay more.

Had the original V11 for 3 years until it died. On a Sherman S now but miss the lighter V11. Pretty sure the Y is going to be my 2nd (3rd) wheel 😂

Hex screws are less likely to get damaged then philips making them an upgrade.

@@mynameisMelt the S16 Pro has the same suspension setup as the S22 and what everyone will tell you and agree with is that the S22 has the best suspension feeling out of all the wheels. That is the reason despite the issues it still is the most used by some of the most well-known trail riders.
Nice, the s22 is too big and still too stiff... I might like this wheel... All EUCs should never by ridden faster than 40 km/h...
I only use an air horn nothing else will do...
Air suspension is always problematic, no place for jump pads.. not for everyone
T4 and S16 are better
$2.4k?! They gotta be out of their minds. This wheel is stuck in 2021, such minor upgrades. The Extreme and Commander mini are both way way better values. Big battery, way better suspension, less upgrades needed out of the box, and not super old/outdated 84V. I legit feel bad for anyone that buys this wheel

Yeah I'm super annoyed at InMotion for their permanent sale pricing. 1800 (1750 with the first time buyer discount) is the actual price for the wheel. They're not fooling anyone. Their customers feel scammed if they accidentally pay more.
