I was driving down some country lane to a new destination, with a fresh drivers' licence. I was nervous I'd come across another car on this narrow lane. I was worrying about other drivers' and my own expectations of my driving. Like I should be able to face any obstacle with confidence. Then this song came up. I looked up from the road and saw I was surrounded by trees creating a branch tunnel above the road. It was beautiful. And my anxiety disappeared. A true shinrin yoku moment.

My wife bought tickets to one of their upcoming shows so I was brushing up on their discography...lemme tell ya I was a TTTS fanboy who thought they peaked around Common Dreads, I was so wrong. Elevating music on every album. You're listening to four guys that combine to make one genius sound.
I was the same, stopped listening to them for years after Common Dreads, then saw them at Boomtown festival seven months ago just for nostalgia's sake, half expected them to be shit and they absolutely blew my mind. I've not been able to stop listening to them ever since

I've listened to this song every single day at work since the albums release last year. The instruments used sound so calming and the messages within the lyrics speak to me on so many levels. I just love how it takes you on a journey builds up all the way until the end. You guys did such an amazing job with this one!
shinrin(森林) means forest, yoku(浴) means bath. but this isn't bath made from wood. it's sounds like taking a shower of forest vitality.
If you ever want a beautiful cheap escape from the world into the best parts of poverty, I need you to come to summers county WV. I live in a beautiful degrading town within minutes of several waterfalls and so many hiking trails. Unfortunately it's Trump country but it is breath taking my beautiful. Some day it will be leveled. The jobs are gone, population is shrinking,and they continue to break the mountains down but for now the crispness of the air in nature feels like it strips the grossness of humanity out of you.
You need to come to West Virginia for a budget vacation there are so many beautiful places and the air in the forest is cool and lovely. So many different waterfalls. Where I live I can go to 3 within 30 minutes. So many hiking spots nested between mountain and river or stream.

After years of listening to this I just noticed that the name of this song is similar to a japanese cult responsible for gas attacks called "Aum Shinyoku" (sorry if I misspelt the name I haven't heard about them in a bit)
