- My remake of the Sealed/Pure Vessel tribute video. With the assistance of a mod I was able to remove the HUD to make things look as cinematic as possible. Compared to my previous editing, I made sure to choose proper overlays that won't distract you guys while also enhancing the environment of the battle. I was tempted to add the Hollow Knight cut dialogue but felt that the first phase of the fight worked because of how silent and somber things were so I decided against it. Besides that I hope you enjoy this remake and leave any feedback you may have for future videos similar to this one.

The hollow knight / pure vessel is the perfect example of how to make a tragic boss fight without saying a single word
IKR. From the music and the stabbing you can tell he has been through nothing more than pain and suffering.
@@PrizMatex I remember when i finished the game for the first time without knowing the lore and the hollow knight still manage to effect me from sound track to the atmosphere and them stabbing themselves and the pure vessel fight make the fight even sadder seeing how the Rediance made them weaker

I love how when the hollow knight screams, you can hear the radiance scream, but when the pure vessel screams there is no sound, truly representing "no voice to cry suffering"
Probably due to it being an actual pure vessel the radiance can’t escape.

nah it's the one singing the theme.
I never realized this until now but the handle-like decorations on his armor’s shoulders are actually attachments to tie the chains on him

It’s not armor it’s more so restraints that’s why pure vessel breaks them as soon as possible
I like that detail because it makes you understand that the hollow knight was trained only to be chained up and contain the radiance

That kinda leaves me to wonder how the other vessels learned how to use nails
“...Father?” that one line makes this even sadder
The hollow knight fight was so god damn sad and depressing, they failed for loving their father and wanting to make him proud

I like to think that when Pure Vessel "says" do not he was about to say "do not love" since he wants to make his father proud
I’ve also heard the theory that it was about to say “Do not fail” but stopped itself because that drive to succeed wouldn’t make it hollow

Pure Vessel might be my favourite fight in the entire game. The fast-paced action and clear indicators for each attack mixed with the spacing of the arena and the general aesthetic easily make it a candidate for my favourite boss fight in any video game.
Fun fact: Pure vessel has two arms while hollow knight has one

Once I was playing the boss fight and my friend was looking the fight (but mainly playing clash Royale) and then he just looked the screen in the moment tat the hollow knight started stabbing himself and he was like “what the hell is going on here!?”

The Hollow Knight was so close to becoming the perfect vessel that, ironically, his undoing was the very thought/emotion of wanting to become a perfect vessel to make their Dad proud.

It’s sad that it was the Hollow Knight’s love for his father that the events of Hollow Knight happened. It’s the cutscene at the end of Path of Pain that caused the events of Hollow Knight to happen. The Pale King showed his son the slight bit of love, and the Hollow Knight wanted to do all it could to do what its father wanted.

One thing I love about the hollow knight is that your technically not fighting the pure vessel, your fighting the radiance controlling the pure vessel, whenever the hollow knight gets the oppurtunity to, he stabs himself, it just shows the trust he has in you, Although he is "hollow" he still has feelings, like trust.

Imagine if this is how it went down (Taking down radiance via dream nailing sealed vessel), you took down base vessel and did godhome up to the second to last pantheon (not doing 5th pantheon) and you have to go through and fight sealed and pure vessel to get more lore around pale king and vessel's relationship only to fight a semi godhome radiance with a more emotional version of the radiance fight with a more emotional theme (maybe through in some sealed vessel/pure vessel melodies in there)

The ghost steped back from the hollow knight. The radiences corruption vanished. What stood as the ghost was something far more frightening. It was a body of living shadow. Bearing a nail seething in energy,with 2 eyes...one white. One orange. Light and shadow in one being. Neither overtaking.
"What...did you do?" Hornet asked the ghost. The ghost turned to her.
"We ended our brothers pain." The ghost spoke at last. Tho it was more like sevral voices speaking at once...the broken vessels and ghost. The creature went to the hollow knight,and shadow engulfed his missing arm,creating an arm of pure void.
"...What happens now then?"
"I want to end my siblings pain. Its long time for us to rest. Theres no more constant light and no more constant dark. Do what you will...and take care of him..." The ghost said alone,its voice almost cracking. Hornet nodded.
"You have my word. Though i dont know how much of this place still remains.."
The knight vanished into the shadows...leaving the 2 siblings alone. Alive. Free...

The pale king's plan was perfect but he was too soft with The hollow knight, making him create a bond with his fathercall it cruel, but if he did want this plan to succed he shouldve never knew him

Instead of having called him "father?" I would have called the final fight "brother?" since the Pure Vessel or the Hollow Knight is the brother, so to speak, of the protagonist and the father of the two is the Pale King, xddd piece of history but it was a good fight against the Pure Vessel

When the infection was spreading in the simple bugs of hallownest, the pale king came up with a solution that could contain the virus. In the abyss it was full of complete void. A being that had no feeling, no mind, no voice and didn’t serve a god. Him and the white lady had millions of hollow knights. But he threw them all into the abyss. When one could climb out and prove that it was completely hollow and devoid of any emotion, it would be raised in royalty, trained with a nail and eventually sealed away in the black egg to writhe with the infection for all eternity. It is very much a sad story. So to answer your question, the hollow knight is your brother, but it isn’t technically older or younger.
The hollow knight, the Knight and every other vessel had a will, the will to carry the burden of the hollownest, their sacrifice alone could not save hollownest, but a weak Knight, he who crawled out of the abyss to the unknown, fought the failed champion, The White defender, the lost kin, the mantis Lords and any other being that stood in his way, no being could stop him, not the lord's of the mantis, no the leader of the mad mantis, not the tyrant that lived in the soul sanctum, not even the hollow knight itself , the Knight raises his blade against a god, a god that caused all this, a god he and his fallen brethren slayed.
The dreamers , the Pale king and every vessel and many more, through their sacrafice Hollownest lasts eternal
