Nice video Mike.
Vigilance Elite thanks brother! We are trying.
To John Brown...all of them. Great video though Mike. Even as a Medic we kind of just skipped the whole 9mm thing. I never did a pistol range in the Army so this is nice to hear it in grunt terms.
Would love to see more collaboration videos from these guys! Well I think it was a podcast but I would like see some range videos from these to badass America’s!
Hey mike! What gunfighter belt do you use on the range?
Hey look what the cat drugg in thank you for ur service my friend
As a couch commando I appreciate this video.
"You might be in a gunfight from your bed laying on your butt" Hey! That's you. 15:20
couch commandos unite lol
Awesome. I was just starting to think everyone on yt comments were full blown delta.
I concur
Couch commando alpha team netflix.. whats your MOS?
Clear, concise and to the point. Zero Ego. The mark of a great instructor, thank you.
Mike is definitely is one of my favorite instructors on YT for this reason
2 years later the opposite is true
This guy is such a great teacher
Yes
Kudos for taking the time and address PROPERLY the fundamentals. Everybody and his cousin want to go from zero to Special Forces level in two days. Remember, Advanced tactics is MASTER of the fundamentals.
I love learning from Mike. No ego even with his wealth of knowledge and incredible background.
Thank you Mike. No high speed, sexy bullshit. Just sound fundamental facts of safe weapon handling.
Weeeeellllll to be honest, there are still two sexy people IN the video. Yeah I'm a straight dude saying that.
Gsquared we’re all in support of your closet bisexuality
@@MIRACLECHEEZ Calm down metro. You can't have any.
Gsquared oh where’s the fun in that
Excellent. I call the forefinger the "index finger". When I have it at the end of the first bullet tip inside the magazine, I call that "Indexing the magazine."
As a newbie gun owner and with friends who think they are experienced, this is eye opening on how to do it correctly.
I've heard this info thousands of times still watch it anyways.
As an average joe like myself, someone trying to work on my fundamentals, this video , along with others you produced, is excellent. Mr. Glover , you explain things very logically and detailed. Also a fan of your podcast. Thank you for your service and looking forward to your future videos. Thanks!
Solid beginner's tutorial!
Thank you!
I truely love your videos. Im prior service and grew up my whole life around firearms and the special operations community and I'm still learning things from you that was never taught to me. Thank you so much
People watch the video. The first time the gun ever has a mag in it to drop is 10 minutes in. 10:30 how to unload.
Great point about the difference between scanning and observing. So many times we miss things that a more deliberate observation will catch. With firearms it's literally life or death.
I know one thing. That pistol is clear AF. haha great videos bro! I subscribed a couple days ago
from shawn ryans channel. Keep it up man
Wait... I thought fundamental #1 was painting your weapon.
Mak Siccar thats tacticool #1
It would be so damn funny if they say down at the table with guns... then pulled out badazzles and paints.
Engravings offer no tactical advantage.
no rule 1 is always look cool rule 2 is never get lost if you do get lost refer back to rule 1
@ Chris Bryant
😂 😂 love it. Been there😑
Never enough of this kind info. Great stuff.
Outstanding video Mike. Nice and slow so new shooters and even shooters that have developed bad habits can get back to the basics. Keep them coming.
No nonsense~no frills just solid core basics. Awesome video
I love videos talking about the fundamentals. Thank you Mike!
Watched your interview with Shaun Ryan; great interview thank you! Now I found your channel and I love it!!
My favorite no bs guy! The stories this man has to tell!!
I live your video. Great beginners tutorial,; safety is addressed. Your explanation is descriptive enough, without being too lengthy. A lot of yourtubers like to hear themselves talk. With you, I couldn't skip forward, as it's full of essential information. Great work! I'm sharing these with friends.
Pistol level 1 class completed this a.m. (not a Fieldcraft course, hopefully one day!), good follow-up with the intro/basics videos tonight! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Great video Mike, drilling these fundamentals, we that have had service know that in order to get good, one must always drill it in.
Excellent video for beginners. Really enjoyed your interview with Shawn which lead me here. This Canadian loves everything you guys are doing
Thanks for the quality instruction !!
Loved it man. Keep up the good work!
I have watched some of your instructional videos you are a gifted teacher. Great job.
Love the way this is all explained to setup for solid fundamentals. Subscribed!
These step by step are perfect. Congrats, warrior !!
I appreciate what you have to offer.
Best regards
That's why you take the source out 1st, then eject by racking slide several times and/or lock back and inspect. Without a source you can't release the slide and chamber a round. 1st step is make sure finger not on trigger, release mag and store it then rack back 2 time possibly 3 to insure there is no live ammo in firearm then lock back and inspect. The 1st finger is called the index finger
This is real helpful. Im Canadian and 17, so to train with a restricted firearm (like a glock) is impossible. I bought an airsoft replica Glock 19, and practice with it. I cant thank the Fieldcraft channel enough for what Ive learned since I started. Thanks guys.
Great video. This is how we train at The Little Ranch in Deep East Texas.
Great video for people first getting started in firearms and for those with years of experience. We can always learn something new, or reinforce what we should know. Thanks.
Love these edits! Thanks for posting - I’ve gotta tribe up 🙏🏼🤙🏼
Awesome video. I am going try some of these techniques. To see if they improve myself. My training on pistols was in the Marines on the m9 at the same time as I was getting training on the benelli m4. I qualified expert on both the same week. In the morning shotgun afternoon pistol, after running between both ranges I got to drive everyone back to the armory then to the motor pool. Awesome times.
Mike soooo true about clearing the pistol 🔫 especially with glocks and the cleaning process to dismantle the slide from the lower receiver . I have seen to many negligent discharges into the cleaning bench 😨
Thank you for the instruction soldier!
As a Marine I can definitively say that I approve this message.
It’s always nice to re-visit the fundamentals 😮💨
Excellent! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Rexquando!! Fantastic job making a simple subject more difficult!
Three videos in and subscribed for life. Brilliant work sir. Thank you.
Awesome! Glad to have you!
Good instructor Mike. Humble
Awesome video! PERFECTLY detailed and EXTENSIVELY informative! Thank you for the lesson, and Thank You for YOUR service!
I would like to know your belt set up
Learned a lot, will share with my wife as well., both safer because of it.
Thank you
I like the bottom of the mag in the palm with the index finger guiding the mag into the well.certainly helps with getting the mag in quicker without fumbling around with it.
I enjoy videos like this and I just remind myself bro stay practical I'm just a warehouse worker that wants to protect myself and loved ones so I apply everything that I consider practical for a civilian! Great video!
Well done. Solid presentation of the basics.
Very good video, all the information was clearly explained, Thank you
Really good Mike, thank you.. I feel fortunate to be able to watch you teach.. I hope to be able to make it out to one of your courses someday. I'm in Texas.
Awesome Video. Thank you for your service and thank you for providing this service.
I like this guy... I've watched a few of his videos and they seem way to short... I could listen to him all day. Thanks so much Mike! Subscribed~~~
OMG, I love the introduction of this video.
Nice beginning video. Thanks.
Excellent instruction, this is what I have been looking for...
Thanks for sharing guys!
Always and thanks for the support!
This dude right here!! Squared away! Mike and Travis Haley are the two I’d love to take classes with!! Both guys extremely professional and not haughty in teaching.
Good basics ... Never give up on basics. Good Job.
I have been in Instructor for about 10 years and I enjoyed your video I might use it sometimes in my class
Very good video.
Modified unloading procedure, one particularly important in low-light scenarios is to curl your small finger into the magazine well to verify no magazine is installed. And with the action locked open, inserting your small finger into the chamber verifies the gun is ‘clear’. This is an important procedure to master considering enough gun defense scenarios occur at night or in low light conditions.
Very informative love these training videos keep up the good work
These are great! Thanks for sharing your knowledge
This is a very good training video on handling a glock are any similar automatic. Have you done a how to cleaning & field strip?
great video learned a lot again, great safe handling tips, thanks Mike !!!
Baller, would love to see more fundamentals type stuff.
Daniel Manning will do!
Good job mike I watch you and GBRS group all the time great advice
Great stuff, thank you.
Thanks for the support!
Great video. Thank you so much for this.
Great video. Can't believe we get this for free. Thanks Mike!
Mike Glover's the best. No ego. No attitude. Just wants to share his knowledge to make us all better.
Great info for all levels
5:47 “rack the slide forward, good”
😂
No theatrics, no “kewl” guy crap and no nasty ass sticky looking pointy beard. Excellent instruction.
Beards are cool though
I cannot imagine getting into a gunfight with a mike and a bunch of other trained SF guys…. Utterly terrifying. Thank god you’re on our team.
Great video!! Thank you
Great tips man !
As you load the mag and let the slide forward, I would visually look into the chamber to ensure it strips a round forward, that would be my press check during an admin load.
Great Videos Mike. I am having My Grandsons watch these.
Wow! We were certainly taught different in the Marine Corps. Safety first. Drop the mag. Then proceed as shown in this video. Those should always be the first steps in making a weapon safe.
This is how I teach,, just as you describe, always drop the mag first,,,
Great thorough video. Fundamentals is often not practiced by even experienced shooters
we never know enough, thank you for the video. learning learning,
Mike is a great teacher
Keep up the good work Mike!! Awesome channel......~Robb
Clearing the weapon: always remove the source (ie the magazine) as your first step!
😉
I have to agree.
I'd probably put the weapon on safe then remove the magazine or clip.
Yup 100%
if its a open bolt smg like the uzzi and it missfire, if u drop the mag it will shoot
very informative. thank you for the video.
Great information thank you!! Great instructor!!!
Damn good video. That intro alone was 🔥
Nice. Another guy outta CO glad to see it.
2:58 "I'm gonna pull out my gun, and point it in a safe direction". Cameraman quickly and deliberately shifts to the right
probably a slight shift in stance. humans do that
No, this guy just doesn’t know what he’s doing. He does press checks. That’s amateur hour. Then he said the first thing to do is lock slide back. No. Drop mag first. Stopped watching. He doesn’t even know the basics.
@@psychodadandjfit3974 do your research on him, he's legit
@@psychodadandjfit3974 got a couch commando bois
@@psychodadandjfit3974 I thought that too for a moment but he started out with no mag in his gun.
Very concise, good video.
Great info. Awesome video
Yep. Learn your gun safety well, always do the same routine, no exceptions and it’s nearly impossible to have an accident. My tactical instructor is a Green Beret as well. Best instructors on the planet imho. 💪
Excellent vid!
yo mike, what watch are you rockin' in this vid? i'm on the hunt for a black pvd bracelet like that one. appreciated!
Such a epic teacher
