  • We have decided to share our story about how a new product was launched at ThermalWood Canada. Ebony is used extensively for fret boards on guitars or stringed instruments in general and this particular species of wood is now in danger of extinction. ThermalWood Canada has come up with a real wood alternative using Northern New Brunswick Maple. The story will take you through from start to finish on how this all came about. Thanks to Josh Parlee Founder/Owner at Defiant Astronaut Media Inc for being the creative mind behind putting all this footage together and creating this amazing story line and to Andrew Kelly Owner of Same As Forever Creative Studios who supplied some of the footage for the great video. Once again this is a great story of New Brunswick ingenuity at work to come up with an alternative to save a tree from disappearing from the face of the earth. We invite you to please share and allow others to find out what we are doing in our province.

A very exciting story. Hope to soon see this sustainable innovation on some great guitar necks.

What a low information video this is. Lot's of promotion and I still don't know what the product really is, how it's made, how it compares to real ebony, and so on.
    Blowing raspberries here!

The intention of this video wasn't to dive into the technical aspects of our product. It really was just story behind the product, as the title of the video suggests. Feel free to reach out to us if you want some info on the product. we can be reached by email @ info@thermalwoodcanada.com

I've been similarly frustrated trying to find information on pricing, whether or not it's plastic (expoxy) infused, if the process is all-natural, and suppliers in Vancouver. It's fine as a background video, but not useful when considering it over other options.
