Beautiful! You’ve got a fence to keep out rabbits. Where I am, they eat the coneflowers, lilies, rudbeckia, and speedwell down to the ground-not a leaf left! Grrr! Make me think about bunny-cide! lol.
I’ve had to put everything in containers in my back yard, and basically only foundation plants and salvias in the front. I always tell my husband that if we didn’t have rabbits, I would be unstoppable! 🤣🤣🤣
Gorgeous!! I appreciate the plant names that I can grow in my 6B garden here in Il. Thanks for sharing. The star gazer lily is one of my favorites. Take care. Anxious to see you next time. 🥰🥰
Very nice Nicole, I appreciate you selected a zone that is spreaded in big zones of the world. I only have form the overwintered plants an asiatic lily that bloomed and a hydrangea , a canna lily and asclepias gives signs of "joy" 💚
New member here. So excited you are in my area! Always looking for someone on UA-cam who are in my zone ans share what they are growing and thriving. Your garden is gorgeous!! Primrose scares me. I have pink and have yet to plant it in the yard. I love the yellow. Thanks for sharing
Hi there! I'm so glad you found me, also! It's great to be able to connect with locals so we can talk about what's working, or isn't, in our gardens. I've noticed that Primrose comes in multiple varieties, so I'm not sure if the pink you have is the Twilight that I have or not. If it is, and you have the space for it, don't be scared of it. On the other hand, if you keep your garden well groomed and don't want any straggling plants popping up, I'd give it away. I mean it pulls up very easily (not like dollarweed or something that you can never get ride of), but it is an extra chore. Thanks for your message.
It's so great to have something that is pest resistant!! (I say as I just came in from killing japanese beetles making holes in everything😢) Have you ever tried the product Liquid Fence for rabbits? Thanks so much for your message! 😀
Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed! My other day lilies (besides orange) began opening today, so I just missed showing them. Oh well. Have a great night, and thank you!
A pleasant Sunday afternoon to you Nicole, I always enjoy thou your videos. I very much enjoyed this one featuring plants for the blazing hot sun we are having here in the Caribbean. Your garden looks stunning.
Great to hear from you - thanks for this sweet message. Ah, blazing hot for you already. Somehow we've had a mix of temps here, so I have to be thankful for some cooler days, too. Take care! 💚
I love your flowers. I have starts of several of your plants. I am starting a perennial flower bed and am looking forward to future flowers. Your flower tours inspire me to want to grow even more flowers.
@@mycarolinagarden I am in Kentucky, 6B growing zone. Some of your plants I don’t think I can grow or at least not at such an extended growing period but I think we can still have a lot of the same plants. I enjoy your gardens. We have a large vegetable garden in addition to my flowers. I love being outdoors and playing in the dirt.
@@jacquelinelykins4485 you said it, I also enjoy being outdoors and playing in the dirt! Here's to making the most of however long our growing season is!
Oh my goodness, I live in northeastern Okla. We have the same humidity, and hot and dry. Just not as long growing season. But we are zone 7b now. And y'all jumped up to 8a last years. I watch Jenny she lives in north Carolina. Yall may be warmer than a 8a. I got mixed up. Great video, I grow alot of plants you showed us. Thank You for all the great information 😊
Thanks for this message! Yes I'm technically zone 8b now, as I'm at the bottom of NC on the coast, while Jenny is inland. Funny how they make the "lines" for zones. Anyway, very cool you're in Okla zone 7b. Love that we can grow so many of the same plants!
Hi Nicole, I have all of the plants you mentioned in this video. I just ordered a few different ones. They will be here today 😊 Your garden den is gorgeous ❤️
Thank you! I have been gardening on this property for about 8 years now. Started with NOTHING, as this was a new construction home, and the developers removed everything to build 😕 A labor of love for me, though ❤️
I love the seedheads of rudbeckia and echinacea in the winter.
It is a beautiful garden. I think you've taken good care of it.
Thank you for your support.
Beautiful garden. I have most of those plants except lily. The beetles like them more than I do. Thanks for the tour
Thank you! Ugh, beetles!!!! I hear you on that.

You're so right - pests are infuriating!! At my last property I had issues with groundhogs eating everything - ughhhh, so I feel your pain

I love it! There are some wonderful perennials out there. 😄 Thanks so much for your message!
Your garden is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍
Awe, thank you so much!!
Salvias are my saving grace! They pretty much resist any pest, especially rabbits, and there are so many colors!

@@mycarolinagarden yes, I’ve tried it. And blood meal. But you have to re-apply after it rains or the sprinklers run, so it’s gets pretty tiresome 😆
@@summerofstacey6676 I hear that!!
Thank you Nicole! Those are beautiful selections! I am adding some to my list!
Awesome! Glad you saw something you like! 😁

You have a beautiful garden ❤

Hi I am jealous of your garden with full sun my garden is under 2 neighbors trees
Awe, that stinks. A balance of sun and shade would really be ideal. I like the sun but the plants take a beating in the summer.
Loved the video....
Thank you!
I deadhead my gaillardia and it just keeps blooming until cool weather.
Yes, same here. ☺️💚
Love your flower beds! How long have you been gardening there?

Can you tell me how long the blanket flower will bloom ?
It blooms for me until a hard frost! 😃
