I've been through Rahway on NJTransit expresses doing 100mph. This is the famous 6 track race way!!. Railroading at its finest!!! Thank you for sharing😀😀♥️♥️
Growing up in northern New Jersey (Bloomfield and Lyndhurst) in the 60's my Dad would often take us to busy and/or exotic railfanning locations. I remember the occasional visit to Aunt Annie's house in Rahway was ALWAYS accompanied by a several-hour railfan session at this very same station. Thanks for the memories . . .
You mentioned the iconic Pennsy GG1. I am old enough to remember riding a Tuscan red GG1 from Akron Ohio to New York City in 1963 when I was 10 years old. To this day it ranks as my favorite locomotive. I believe that is when the railfan seed was planted in me.
Your encyclopedic knowledge and total recall is truly quite remarkable. I just retired in January at the ripe age of 68 and hope to launch my own railfan channel. There is much to be learned from the quality of your videos.
Rahway is another busy station I love sitting there and watching trains

Just stumbled across this. Best railfanning video I’ve seen. Amazing commentary and shots!
Great video, brings back memories. I used to railfan Rahway in 1967-1969.

What a great way to illustrate the density and value of the NEC!
I absolutely love your videos, fellow railfan!
Thanks for posting. I like your vids, very nicely done. Hope you have a long, healthy, retirement!
I wonder if they'll ever reactivate that line that used to go from Matawan, NJ to Freehold? It's a bike trail now. Don't count on it! LOL!
Thank you for posting one of your most idyllic and beautiful videos!
Awesome video Tim! Great action on the corridor today!
Your videos are all informative. They’re also a tonic for those of us itching to ride again. I enjoy your work.
Excellent video, as usual!
My Grandparents,Aunt,Uncles, and Cousins(on my Mother’s side) lived in Rahway.
In 2019, as part of its 40th anniversary New Jersey Transit wrapped ALP-45DP 4519 and a Bombardier MultiLevel Coach into Erie Lackawanna colors
Great one
Awesome Railfanning in a different location!
This is one busy set of tracks!

You would have had a diesel and you likely rode out of Canton and the GG1 would have been put on in Harrisburg Pa.
Amazing Rahway is a great station btw last time I went is saw the Erie Lackawanna going to Jersey avenue

The 45s are the best, especially with their propulsion systems.
I love the ALP-45s much more than the 46s
