The newly completed platforms on both sides provide great vantage points to observe the action. The westbound platform is particularly attractive because you can get close to the signal bridge at the west end with position light signals still standing but possibly not for long. In addition you can stand next to the switches that come from tracks 4 to 2 and from 2 to 1. Spectacular sunset added to the mystique.
