Inventor Raccoon I can't remember the video exactly, but it makes sense. You don't go near tanks with an RPG, you'll get yourself killed faster than you can turn an ant into a doornail. You need to keep your distance and that's why you need a carbine because you'll engage your enemies at medium to long ranges. You only rush tanks with C4 and that usually doesn't transpire into a long and prosperous lifespan. So that's why PDW's don't make sense for engineers.
Vmt16 They also get carbines and PDWs anyway, it doesn't effect them. Recons can actually do something useful to the team and it makes Support better in mid-close range, same with Assault.
Inventor Raccoon Recons could still use the PDW's, so could support players. PDW's eat a lot of ammo anyway so it would make sense to have the ammo box. And LMG's have plenty of range, so do AR's. But the engineers really just need carbines so you never end up using the engineer exclusive PDW's, so they just sit there useless.

The problem is not being bad but rather being outclassed. I mean I've done great with this gun but I do consistently better with the Scorpion and there's too few situation where i could do better with the CBJ-MS. Maybe a reduction to its atrocious horizontal recoil would be nice at least.
Was it buffed? From what I heard, it;s max DMG was 20, but I heven't even used it yet because I suck with the starting PDW'S too much too have it unlocked yet :P
CBJ-MS rocks, 4 hit kill up close, 700 RPM which makes its insanely high horizontal recoil easy to manage, and to top it off it has a 50 round mag and a decent reload speed. Sure it gets out classed by any of its faster shooting competitors but when your in a situation where you have to engage enemy after enemy this is a go to as you can easily get 4+ kills per mag and still not have to worry too much about a reload. Not only that to top it off it has a relatively fast bullet which means you don't have to lead as much and throwing a suppressor on there doesn't hamper you too much, unlike some PDW's that with a suppressor it feels like your firing spit balls out of a straw they travel so slow.
I actually found burst fire to be an excellent choice in medium range. I usually switch to burst fire in medium range to conserve ammo as well. I have also mastered the FAMAS on PS4 using this tactic.
Cool, but why does everyone seem to ignore the FAMAS' burst fire function? For a while I was able to run FAMAS tri-burst exclusively, and had some of my best games ever doing that. Not to mention the 25 round mag and high rate of fire don't work against you as much anymore.

The FAMAS is my best gun, and the first I got master tags for. My advice is go with the offensive perk, as more often than not, you will get much more ammo. As for the gun, I use a laser with the Coyote, usually a suppressor, and a stubby grip. Occasionally, I use a compensator or ergo grip. This weapon is a beast, will take out targets quicker than you can imagine. Maybe not such a good choice on console due to recoil, but on PC it's great. Also, this is a great gun to get headshots with, if you have an assignment which needs them!

This setup forces me to aim accurately and pace my shots, because if I don't I get punished with an empty clip and my target who will still be alive then. You learn to control the recoil after you play with it extensively. Knowing where to pick your engagements, and where to fall back will also be a deciding factor to success. Mastering the accuracy and recoil will reward you with an extremely lethal QCB weapon, that is still very capable of taking out enemies at medium range. With its very short time to kill a lot of my unsuspecting target just don't have time to respond by dodging or returning fire once the first bullet lands. I just don't get bored with this gun.
My buddy and I decided to use this gun one game of rush (and we decided to use it due to how well it functioned). We found out 2 things: 1: You better have a support with ammo with you at ALL times 2: If you find those kill boxes like tight alleys, one doorway rooms, etc you can pick up squad wipe ribbons like they are nothing. The mag isn't great for single target but if you use the entire mag at a squad you will do some major damage. And on Rush clearing that mcom sometimes makes this gun near godlike. This gun is a Rush gun feel free to try it you'll pull some great moments off.

It was pretty marvelous when the patch hit, the same week you could make minced meat out of entire squads running Medic on any map and game mode, all equipped with the suppressed FAMAS. From a disintegrating death beam of doom, into a complete nerf-rifle. Well played, DICE.
Malacite Oh yeah, as asinine as the weapon balance was around the whole FAMAS period, the USAS-frags was just insane. Every second kit you picked up from dead soldiers had it equipped with the only variation being their preferred optic >< And let's not forget the underslung M26 Dart glitch!
Does anyone remember Badger's video on it? Its a nice way to context how it was back before the derf on BF3. I think he overviewed the USAS-12 too. That was ridiculous.
Hey LevelCap, have you tried using a low-power sight for the SR338? It makes staying on target a lot easier at all ranges. The setup I use is the Kobra sight, AFG, green laser, and a flash hider. It's fun to use as a beefy DMR or even a battle rifle. I have high success rate (at least a 15kd/r) and I think you will too.
Famed is still in service. In the Paris attacks the French had Famas used. I was surprised. It was the commando version which explains it because commandos wearing berets had the Famas with it.
I believe Battlefield made some sort of there own version of the famas because the Felin 2 is the closes thing to it, and it has that removable front grip but does not allow you to out any other type of grip on but the one specifically made for it. I have also seen versions of it that even have a mounted bipod that is attached just above the location of the grip.

The FAMAS is my favorite gun in the game ever. I just don't know what it is that gravitates me toward it, but it's just so awesome! In Battlefield 3 alone I have 5,603 kills and in Battlefield 4 I have somewhere around 1400. XD
I use the FAMAS in burst fire mode sometimes, fast kills and ammo conservation, just do not panic with the trigger! About the SR338, actually it need a higher damage to short range (60), since it uses the same ammunition as the M98B, it makes sense. I have only 404 kills with it.
The FAMAS in BF4 is a hybrid of the real life FAMAS F1 and the G2 (apologies if I'm wrong with the lettering or numbering) the body is the F1 and uses the G2 magazines (STANAG).

The Felin system is a refit for the Famas platform, the electronic foregrip is add after. The version used in bf4 is probably closer to the civilian model, most of the rifles are. (prob because its way easier to get a hold of a civilian model)
Hey levelcap I was thinking about it I thought that you should master the CBJ-MS 1. You hate that gun so it's gonna be a good challenge 2. 50 round magazine 3. The accuracy is not that great. Accessories. Run with a red laser sight, Holo sight for extra magnification. A stubby grip for the accuracy sake, and of course a flash hider. You should master the CZ-805 next. IMO the most under-rated assault rifle in BF4. Infrequently used, versatile, and a true all-rounder assault rifle. I find it's a gun you can take from the medium-long range battles straight into close quarters without any problems. Plus it's such a good looking assault rifle. Easy mastery tags to get (unlike the SR338...). Cheers mate
The FAMAS in BF3 and 4 looks to me like a mash-up of the F1 (Mag), G2 (Trigger/hand guard) and Félin (Top rail/handle) versions of the rifle. I've tried, but never been able to find an exact real-life counterpart to the in-game weapon.
SorcererBernitz if it was copyrighted the appearance would be different or wouldnt be in the game at all. Look at gta, their cars and weapons are 'based' on real life ones, because of copyright. The 'x' is for experimental, and in 6 years time im sure it would be more than that if it was still made/issued then. ;-)
I still can't believe that this weapon along with the AEK are even available to the Assault class. The class already over powers the LMGs, Carbines and DMRs, Assault shouldn't have a weapon that can outgun a PDW in CQC. Assault rifles should be Medium to long range only, and balanced to combat LMG's rather than every other weapon class in the game. It'd also help if they removed the support class entirely and re-introduced the Medic class, because Assault currently has the best weapons and gear in the game. The class feels so shitty that I rarely even use it...
I'm sorry but really. Nothing overpowers the LMGs. Most of them are laserbeams, only 4 of them have magazines below 100 rounds, but for three of them they all have 1st shot recoil multipliers of 1.0x or even less and they (correct me if I'm wrong) are THE guns for supressing enemies. Just look at the M240B, the PKP Pechneg and from my personal experience the AWS. I've been killed so many times by that gun. It kills in no time on any fking range. That shit needs to be nerfed.
TheChaoos1 I have never gone through a single game without the kill feed being filled with ACE's AEK's and M416's. They are over used and over powered. Suppression doesn't even really matter considering that every time I supposedly suppress someone they end up suppressing me as well and outgunning me with another damn ACE 23. I believe it takes four rounds of an LMG to suppress someone and it only takes two more to do the same thing with an Assault Rifle.
Zainin Med bag. Defibs. M320's. You aren't supposed to be fighting tanks, and if one shoots you all you have to do is hide behind some cover and heal then run.
I have to say, that the LMG's and the Support Class aren't obsolete, they give you Assault players ammo and damage the enemy for you to nick the kills. Also for anyone saying the M60-E4, M240B and the PKP, it's because all the other LMG's fire in Real life, 5.56x45 NATO Standard or 5.56x56 Russian, the other 3 fire 7.62mm Rounds. That's why a lot of the players using the M60-E4 refer it to as "The Pig". Max damage is 34.5 per shot before the drop off to 25 per shot at 40 meters.
I completely forgot this gun was in the game. I play this on Xbox 360 and I don't even remember the last time I saw the FAMAS in the kill-feed. Strange...

FELIN Soldier loadout ;) FAMAS - Thermovision x2 - Green laser - flash suppressor - folding Handle M9 ( as the PAMAS ) Attack skill There are a few version of the FAMAS C in the training FELIN units, they use optronic sight, but on battlefield 4, thermovision will do. If you feel able to test it like that, you have just referred to the difficulty of long range. Trump will be able to aim through smoke but watch the green laser that can reveal your presence.
my fav gun...if you can master that gun it can be such a power...just use micro bursts with 2 bullets at long ranges and 1 burst 5,6 bullets and then 1 with 2 at medium and full auto at close.
Best way to run the sr338 is medium range. It is the way a Dmr should function. I use an ACOG, Suppressor, bipod. Or suppressor, bipod, your favorite red dot with the magnification attachment.

It's not the fire rate or small mag that's a problem with this gun. It's the long reload time that gets you killed.

The CTE now has the FAMAS with a normal 30 round clip again and it's beast. I love it!

The FAMAS was my favourite weapon back in Modern Warfare 2. Obviously it's different in Battlefield, but I still enjoy using it.

The Felin system is a refit for the Famas platform, the electronic foregrip is add after. The version used in bf4 is probably closer to the civilian model, most of the rifles are. (prob because its way easier to get a hold of a civilian model)

You should master the CZ-805 next. IMO the most under-rated assault rifle in BF4. Infrequently used, versatile, and a true all-rounder assault rifle. I find it's a gun you can take from the medium-long range battles straight into close quarters without any problems. Plus it's such a good looking assault rifle. Easy mastery tags to get (unlike the SR338...). Cheers mate

The FAMAS in BF3 and 4 looks to me like a mash-up of the F1 (Mag), G2 (Trigger/hand guard) and Félin (Top rail/handle) versions of the rifle. I've tried, but never been able to find an exact real-life counterpart to the in-game weapon.

It's in service since 2008 as far as i know. And still using the ARX-160 name, but in-game it is changed to AR-160, copyright stuff...
SorcererBernitz if it was copyrighted the appearance would be different or wouldnt be in the game at all. Look at gta, their cars and weapons are 'based' on real life ones, because of copyright. The 'x' is for experimental, and in 6 years time im sure it would be more than that if it was still made/issued then. ;-)

I still can't believe that this weapon along with the AEK are even available to the Assault class. The class already over powers the LMGs, Carbines and DMRs, Assault shouldn't have a weapon that can outgun a PDW in CQC. Assault rifles should be Medium to long range only, and balanced to combat LMG's rather than every other weapon class in the game. It'd also help if they removed the support class entirely and re-introduced the Medic class, because Assault currently has the best weapons and gear in the game. The class feels so shitty that I rarely even use it...
I'm sorry but really. Nothing overpowers the LMGs. Most of them are laserbeams, only 4 of them have magazines below 100 rounds, but for three of them they all have 1st shot recoil multipliers of 1.0x or even less and they (correct me if I'm wrong) are THE guns for supressing enemies. Just look at the M240B, the PKP Pechneg and from my personal experience the AWS. I've been killed so many times by that gun. It kills in no time on any fking range. That shit needs to be nerfed.
TheChaoos1 I have never gone through a single game without the kill feed being filled with ACE's AEK's and M416's. They are over used and over powered. Suppression doesn't even really matter considering that every time I supposedly suppress someone they end up suppressing me as well and outgunning me with another damn ACE 23. I believe it takes four rounds of an LMG to suppress someone and it only takes two more to do the same thing with an Assault Rifle.

Zainin Med bag. Defibs. M320's. You aren't supposed to be fighting tanks, and if one shoots you all you have to do is hide behind some cover and heal then run.
I have to say, that the LMG's and the Support Class aren't obsolete, they give you Assault players ammo and damage the enemy for you to nick the kills.
Also for anyone saying the M60-E4, M240B and the PKP, it's because all the other LMG's fire in Real life, 5.56x45 NATO Standard or 5.56x56 Russian, the other 3 fire 7.62mm Rounds. That's why a lot of the players using the M60-E4 refer it to as "The Pig". Max damage is 34.5 per shot before the drop off to 25 per shot at 40 meters.
I completely forgot this gun was in the game. I play this on Xbox 360 and I don't even remember the last time I saw the FAMAS in the kill-feed. Strange...

There are a few version of the FAMAS C in the training FELIN units, they use optronic sight, but on battlefield 4, thermovision will do.
If you feel able to test it like that, you have just referred to the difficulty of long range.
Trump will be able to aim through smoke but watch the green laser that can reveal your presence.
My FAMAS has an acog, heavy barrel, and bipod. This thing is epic at long range. No joke.

my fav gun...if you can master that gun it can be such a power...just use micro bursts with 2 bullets at long ranges and 1 burst 5,6 bullets and then 1 with 2 at medium and full auto at close.
Best way to run the sr338 is medium range. It is the way a Dmr should function. I use an ACOG, Suppressor, bipod. Or suppressor, bipod, your favorite red dot with the magnification attachment.

Hi LevelCap, I just wanted to know what do you think at the BF4 graphic, well you playing alot of Battlefield games so you probably know, my opinion that BF3 had the best graphic and i still like it more than BF4! Dice just upgraded the customisation in Bf4 so yeah I never played at it, and i just asking If it worth the money?
