- UPDATE 6/10/2022: This siren has been replaced with a new 2001-130.
Location: Near Calvary Baptist Church and Marion Rd.
System: Crawford County
Testing schedule: Every Friday at noon
Testing time: 12:00:36 PM (on time)
Cycle when tested: Full alert
Cameras used: Canon PowerShot SX540HS (tight shot & audio), Canon PowerShot SX620HS (wide shot)
Recording distance from siren: 200 feet
Loudness: Sorta quiet
Other enthusiasts present: None
Other notes: Another siren test from the Friday Siren Curse. Last week, I made a kinda spontaneous drive to Bucyrus to record one of their 2001's as I haven't heard an SRN in person in over four years, and also to check out a couple of school buses in the area. All four of the 2001-SRN's are DC only, and with my luck I of course chose one with pretty much shot batteries. It reminded me a lot of the really sick SRN in Clyde that TommyBNSF recorded a few years ago, which probably had a very similar, if not the exact same issue as this one. Before this one starts winding up, you can hear one or two of the other 2001's sounding in the distance, as well as the STH-10 in downtown doing attack if you listen closely. Enjoy!

They could’ve just got new batteries
That 2001 is a trooper. At first I thought it wasn't going to sound at all and just rotate silently. Turns out it was rotating slow and just getting up to a lower pitch on a delayed start.
Yeah I was worried that this would only rotate at first, but eventually the chopper very slowly starts to speed up, although it definitely did not get to full speed.
Woah that’s one of the sickest sirens Ive ever seen, because it took it like 5 minutes just 2 wind up
Ah yes, my most hated siren back at it with another malfunction
Its doing its best equinox impression
Lmao, yea
Well, didn't think there'd be one worse than Clyde, but here we are.
It's gone
Have u seen the on in St joseph County?!?!?
its so sick sounds like a 50v or 60v run
old comment, but these run off 48-46VDC.
Seems I’m not the only one that’s had bad luck with Crawford’s 2001s lol
Nice! In the description it should say Crawford county not Ottawa lol
Whoops, I copied the description over from my previous video. Thanks

"Oh wow the siren went off!!, oh well to bad the town is already gone!"
Holy shit, that thing is messed up. That sounds even worse than the one in Clyde did. Nice video nonetheless!
I just watched the two side by side, and this one couldn't even get up to the speed of the one in Clyde!
this thing tryna be a french siren
Ouch
Definitely Underpowered, those batteries should be replaced before the batteries possibly explode unless it's fixed already.
The siren was replaced
@@Jimjam475 Dang, I knew the issue in the video was bad batteries but I didn't think the siren was getting replaced, likely ran into more problems with the SRN so it's likely why the SRN was replaced with a 130.
Wait what happened 😳
i think both the rotator motor and the air raid motor are going out. might end up like the STL-10 i saw in the shorts earlier.
Nope. This sirens batteries were just about dead, so thats why it took awhile to start sounding. Also this video was filmed in 2021, and the siren itself got replaced in June 2022.
@@Supersonic_Sirens_TX oh. makes sense now.
It looks so clean. What happened to this thing?
Batteries are just about dead
Is it broken or something 0-0
I do
Hybrid siren on start of the video
Do you live in Ohio
Yes, although right now I'm in Florida for college.
Dead rectifier
There is no rectifier, only batteries. It's DC only.
DC only, doofus
