- We sail to the chain of islands off the coast of Pacific Panama and show Warrens mom a little bit of the sailing life we have come to fall more and more in love with.
While we had little winds, we enjoyed the quiet and calm anchorages of the Las Perlas islands. We fish around the anchorage in our dingy and get bombarded by birds while trying to bring home dinner.
While sailing the islands we also took the opportunity to tour the stunningly beautiful sailing yacht Wolfhound. So Lou and Steven welcome us aboard to show their custom built boat.

Yea and we even have one on the boat too. Warren thinks he can grab fish with his bare hands! Still working on that.

The lines on the Wolfhound are exquisite. Beautiful boat both inside and out. Her owners seem like great people. Get a gaff for those fishies less likely to lose em. Yay, the boat tour! I enjoyed meeting them when you were at Boatique. What was really inspiring and ultra impressive was Steven's art and how his passion for sailing and beautiful historic yachts comes thru on Wolfhound. Will you be crossing with them?

I'd love to say hello see your boat! I live in Boca Chica and the surrounding area, Parque Marino Gulfo de Chiriqui, in this immediate area is the Golf of Chiriqui Marine Park is definitely worth seeing. I'd be happy to show you around the islands. If you are sailing up the coast I know there are also some places along the way that you would also probably enjoy. Maybe you already have on your radar such as Isla Coiba(great diving), Bahia Honda, Islas Contreras (great diving, fishing) as well as Isla Secas ( great diving). For great surfing there is an Island called Isla Sivla de Afuera. I am sure you can find information on all of these in your sailing book and/or internet. If you happen to be in the area of Isla Silva de Afuera at the end of this month(July) I am usually there for the day delivering supplies to a caretaker I have there on the west end of the island. When there is swell it has great surf breaks. Hope to hear from you :). Safe travels!!

bummer you lost that first fish, but it wasn't meant to be.....and not a great eating fish :), of course you can make any fish taste good if you know how. Beautiful boat!! That makerel, Sierra, much better. Lets surf. I am on the Pacific side,
Right on! Where in the Pacific are you now? WE do love those sierra, super tasty fish.
I'm thinking those 'bites' could have been a series of snags, just hooking fish in close proximity while blasting through the water in a dinghy.

Mono ftw! They are capable of a capsize and turtle, cats not so much.
